I believe many people (here and anywhere) have a different idea of what "good weather" is.

Most importantly, for me, weather changes. I like Fall best, but Winter, Summer and Spring have their charms, and extremely consistent places like San Diego are terrible for this. While the benefits of warm weather are apparent just from this thread, cold weather tends to envigorate me, and air assumes a particularly pure and clean feel on sharp winter mornings.

I love snow. I love the rain. I also love sunny days. I would not want to have only one of any of these.

Keep in mind that I'm not saying people are wrong for disagreeing; I'm simply expressing my preferences.

Water when you're honestly thirsty (like after a good workout) is the best thing ever. It's actually one reason I love to workout. Having water after is so good!

Keeping a Brita pitcher in the fridge has been the best.

I actually mostly gave up soda by replacing it with water because the water from that just tasted so good.

Waking up at almost 2pm feel rebellious

Ever woken up at night, thinking it was the morning and you were late for class/work? I once was rushing to get ready in five minutes and got downstairs to find the rest of my family enjoying dinner.

During bad crunch times I used to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning in a dead panic, heart pounding, SURE I was late to the office or had forgotten to do something crucial.

Ideally, you want to sleep for 30 minutes max.

Any more than that and you fall in to deep REM sleep. That's usually the cause of the "Oh god why did I do this" feeling when you wake up.

I've tried, but it takes me so long to fall asleep that when I finally get into the 'nap' stage it never ends, and I just want to sleep forever. Alarms will wake me up from my reverie, but it's excruciating, and I convince myself that just an hour more won't hurt. This goes on for about 8 hours. :/

Fall is also my favorite season, though each season is lovely for their own unique reasons. It's slightly cold but not freezing, the leaves are falling (at least where I am.) There are rainy days, and sunny days. It isn't dominated by one or the other. It is also when the school season starts and I always get excited for that (even though I'm not in school anymore.)

Oversleeping on naps makes me feel like I have a hangover for the rest of the day. Also if I eat right before a nap, it makes me feel even worse.

^And that's why I hate LA the most (aside from the terrible transportation system). I miss storms and the joy of coming in out of the cold to hot soup or having special seasonal dishes. Makes me miss Japan something terrible.

At least for me, the term "good weather" is entirely dependent on what you may have planned for the day. I certainly don't mind sunny days, but nothing beats staying indoors during a rainy day as well. Each variation of weather has its perks.

Of course I have no idea what snow is because I live in CA. Is it a myth?

Yeah, this is exactly the same way I sleep. Some people fall asleep the second their heads hit the pillow, but I need to gradually get there unless I'm just super exhausted. I can't set alarms for naps because, if I set the alarm for thirty minutes from now, I won't fall asleep for another 20 minutes at best, meaning I only got ten minutes of sleep so what's the point.

I wish I had a good solution, but the only thing I can tell you is...don't take naps. That's how I've had to deal with it.

Also don't play video games, watch TV, or use the internet in bed. But I do all those things, anyway, so fuck sleeping.

The one thing I want is weather consistency. It has not stayed consistently cold here all winter. If it's going to be 30 degrees, I want it to stay that way. I love wearing jeans and nice shirts with a big comfy coat. It's a real pain to have to take half your clothes off midday because all of the sudden it's 60 degrees outside.

I love warm weather because a lot of my favorite outdoor activities are dependent on sunshine.

That being said, after experiencing fall and spring in NYC, it does make me pine for some sort of seasonal transition here in LA.

No excuse. Tahoe gets a ton of snow

I miss being in a place that has a real winter.

Whether or not there is real winter here changes from year to year :< Last year we had... well, snow at least regularly. This year it has been between 45 and 55 the whole time with occasional rains. As much as I prefer milder weather, I like seasons being the seasons they are supposed to be.

I hate winter. It does horrible things to my mood, and I can't stand the cold. And while snow is pretty for an hour or two, it gets grey and ugly pretty quickly.

I can't wait for spring when everything is green and temperate and all the flowers are in bloom. It's definitely my favorite season.

LA has seasons.

Spring = nice! Maybe beach time.
Summer = hot, definitely beach time. Surf with only a rashguard.
Fall = cooler, leaves fall off the trees.
Winter = even cooler, sometimes it rains. Thickest wetsuit if beach time.

Where do you live?

You'd be quite happy in Seattle.

I miss Seattle.

Near Portland or further south/east? Cant say I envy the ice*, though parts of WA are just as bad.

*cue video of portland drivers going up hills :p

I'm nearer Eugene but kind of up in the mountains a bit, so we get snow more regularly than down in the valley. Not this year though :<

Nice area, my wife and love the scenery in the middleish part of OR. Best part of Eugene though is getting to see people hitchhiking down the interstate barefoot :D

As much as i love going to the beach i really hate summer. Riding my bike to college on a hot day sucks so much. I rather keep the cold winter days.

Time to go home, work has sucked enough of the joy out of me for today.

(Not really, I just got done helping out a customer who was all 'Thank yous' and 'Bless yous')

I love it here. Most people I've run into say that they only saw bits of Oregon on the drive from California to Washington (as if Oregon is some no-mans land void) but that it was so beautiful they wish they could have stayed longer.

If any of you guys like nature and outdoors, come to Oregon!

The last time I wore a tie was when I went to Senior Ball. I haven't changed that much face-wise, but I'm not sure how I feel about posting the picture of me and my date. I guess I can just blue her out, though.
