Pointing out the

on that Android plushie was not nice, Haly. Now what do you think I'll be imagining when I get a text from someone with an Android smiley in it?!
Well, the actual logo doesn't look suggestive at all. It's just the way they cheaped out on that doll.
Cwarrior's actually not hOhating on CCS though. Just Sailor Moon.
Woops, I guess the rage was clouding my eyes when I read his post.

Let's just go ahead and make this my obligatory post complaining about there being too many damn posts.

Well, I felt the same though at the end of season 1. I didn't mind all the focus Inami got and was hoping they would get together or something.

But, rolling into season 2, and Takanashi pretty much got all jerkish midway wanted me to just see her punch him to the moon.

I'm pretty sure it's just me getting used to it being the Inami show featuring a bunch of other more enjoyable people that made me stick around.

Funny, I could've sworn I watched the Yamada show.

Wait really?

What would possess you to do that?

I did the very same thing way back when, actually. Mostly because I was told it had lesbians.

Chihayafuru 2

The characters are so, so good. Arata's accent is also damn cute.

Fuck taichi, ill slash my wrists if he ends up with Chihaya.

Don't worry dude, there's no escaping the friendzone.

You know, even though I loved Honey and Clover I never really explored Nodame. Does that make me a bad person?

I would normally say yes but the truth is my interest tapered off once they
moved to Paris
so it'd be a little hypocritical of me to say so.

Your mouth may say no but I know your heart says yes.

Saint Seiya 37-39

shitjustgotreal.gif

Seiya getting the Sagittarius cloth seems to pretty much be a super transformation. Dude can do lightspeed shit now.

Also is it just me, or did the animation get better during the Shiryu fight? Maybe they actually got a budget around this point?

Nope. Shit is far from getting really real.

Is Metropolis worth my time? Heard very mixed reviews from friends.

I enjoyed it a lot back when I first watched it. It's not perfect but there is some enjoyment to be had. It also has by far the best use of Ray Charles I've seen in an animated motion picture, if that helps.

Would be true if they didn't butcher the other waifus as well (except Kanbaru).

Yeah it's just a bad shot:
sxjtm.gif

Well, that's not so bad. Kanbaru still got the biggest uprade by far, though.

Nevermind. Total downgrade, indeed.

That's not a fact.

It's an Amir0x-style fact.

I don't mean to say it's on the same level of pervasive terribleness as Yami (yet), but rather it was exhibiting the same sort of cinematic experimentation as Yami.

Well shit. Now that comparisons to Yami have been made then I guess my course of action is set.

Special A - 1

Why do the characters look like french fries? I can't tell from the first episode if this will have a decent payoff in the later episodes. Is it worth watching GAF?

No. Not at all.

Did you watch Touka Gettan? It's a bit like that. Except it's not wacky chronologically, it's just almost staggeringly incoherent. And has more lesbianism.

Goddammit you're killing me here.

This is one of the worst things I've ever clicked on at GAF.

...so does anyone want to watch this with me?

I stand with you against my better judgment. Just don't get too attached as I might need to make a break for it depending on things.

I fall asleep watching anime all the itme. howeeveR I also fall asleep while doing the following:
standing, eating, listening to music, surfing the internet, and doing my taxes.

Sounds to me like someone may be slightly narcoleptic, tbh.

My friend bought me a Mugi figurine as a joke. When I accidentally revealed that I knew the names of all the moeblobs on K-On!!!!!! I think she realized I had actually watched the show.

But crucially, she doesn't know HOW MUCH.

You mean that one show you swear you've never ever actually watched? That the one?

I'm sure this must have been already been posted recently, but still:
Nostalgia tiiiiime (Cardcaptors US OP)

I totally remember watching this on Fox on Saturday mornings or something.

I still don't understand how you people managed to put up with this kinda thing.

Basterdized dub is the only way to go with CCS.

Too much clamp in the original, give me diluted clamp.

I havent watched more than ten episodes of ccs because it is a very long series.
I will not however watch the dubbed version.
I do not like when companies actively change the meaning of something.
I only watch a dub if it only serves as a translation.
Cardcaptors is a heavily edited version and I will fight it to the death.

It's one of the worst dubs of all time. I mean, they cut out 30 episodes of material, started with episode 8, and actively tried to change the main character. Not to mention the horrible scripts.

I feel the same way about sailor moon as do about saint seiya, I love both shows knowing that there both bad.

Incorrect! "They" is only KidsWB. Every episode of CCS was dubbed; although there were edits made to content (well, duh, it's CLAMP) all 70 episodes were dubbed and aired in other countries, and certainly in the UK the show started at episode 1. I remember, because I watched it!

K-ON is one of only a few truly mainstream animes the whole decade of the 2000's!

Is it wise for me to say I've never watched K-ON?

Bartender 9

A very :firehawk episode. I need to track down the OST for this show because the music is fantastic.

Great to see more people are watching Bartender.

Honestly I really think you guys take a lot of the fun out of watching this stuff.
Kind of how like gaming side has taken al ot of the fun out of videogames. I dont really understand it. Maybe I just see things more simply. Its hard to enjoy anything when youre nitpicking it all the time.

I personally don't see any point dissecting a show like some do. All I find that leads do is focusing on the negative. Take Natsume S3 for example, I never noticed the "bad animation" many people have commented on. If I went back, which I won't, and looked I know I would see what people were talking about. Now, what I did notice was the better animation in season 4, episode 1. For me, knowledge of a shows flaws is not required to appreciate its strengths.

This is literally the first forum I have ever seen that doesnt like NTHT.

----------------------------------------------

When I first watched NTHT I didnt even notice any of these supposed glaring errors or story problems or anything. I just saw a story about a kid who gets caught in a fucked up warzone led by a warlord who is crazy like hitler. In that sense I really enjoyed it. I also watched it dubbed, so thats probably why I didnt notice the error posted above.

They don't eh? Your view of the show is actually quite similar to mine. It's almost as if you entered my mind and copied my thoughts.

Persona 4 Episode 13

IDu8o.gif

Holy HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was an amazing episode. Holy shit.

But how long does one continue?

When I was 11, it was okay to like CCS, Gundamu and all that crap and talk about it with friends. But they've grown away from anime, while I kept at it through all those years. Here I am 9 years later, still acting like a "normal" person. I'm sick of it.

You mean to say you're abnormal? Or you mean to say you're ashamed to admit you like anime to those outside of the loop? I know that way of thinking, it's something one "simply" has to strive to overcome. The reality is, most really don't care one way or another if a person is in to "geek stuff".

Hanasku Iroha 14:
That Minchi sure is popular. I didn't really like her at first, but she's grown on me a lot. Yuina got a lot of time this episode, but she's not the most interesting character. I did find the asshole boss amusing to watch, though, especially with how oblivious he was to everything he was doing. Decent enough episode, and an interesting change of pace after the recent arc.

Ashamed to admit. It doesn't affect me much, but its annoying to hide it. But yeah, i can see it not being much of an issue as most people are geeks to a certain extent anyway

Just like what you like.
Youll feel younger and happier with your life when your friends are all old hateful grumpy bastards.
Its the way to live.

Sorry Infinite Justice, you're alone on this one. I can't even fathom the amount of blackness you would have in your heart to dislike CCS.

I learned the hard way that it really doesn't matter. The trick is realizing it is only a select few who'd get on your case for liking that kind of stuff. Even then they'd only do so if they know you'll let it get to you. It's all about the confidence really.

Just demonstrate that you dont give a fuck and people will stop bothering you about it.

Speaking of One Piece, i really love this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxj2sGpIzxk

I also love the original eurodance version and taunting all the hateful weeaboos who yhink Folder5 invented the song.
Why not post it for comparison?

On a side note, the new Funimation One Piece dub openings/endings are all pretty good and one of the best ideas they've had in a while. Can't wait to hear the dub version of Kokoro no Chizu on the upcoming 4th voyage set.

I decided to join the Bakemonogatari club, and after the first episode, I don't like being a member.

What is going on here? The directing style is really unusual, but I don't see the point. Right now, it's coming across as some bizarre hybrid of self-aware harem meets Nasuverse-type bullshit and I don't like it.

Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of a first episode. I'll get through this first arc, but things need to start happening, or I'm not going to finish.

Pretty girls doing weird things is the point, I think. I gave up like four episodes in.

It's all part of the gimmick to spend the least amount of money possible on the animation. It panders to the faux intellect of fanservice fans who need to justify their tastes.

It's still a decent watch though nonetheless.

I like anime that talks a lot so i loved bakemon.
It doesnt hurt to have a beautiful godess that happens to be dangerous with stationery.

What I find fucken strange about the one piece dub is that they removed every trace of the amazing orchestral sound track, why fuck did they do that for? too good for baka gaijin ears?

Digimon Xros Wars 53:
So, everything in the series happened because DarkKnightmon had an inferior complex? Well, that makes sense. Bugramon turns out to be a magnificent bastard after all, and he pretty much owns everyone without even trying. It was a great episode until the end when Akari and Zenjirou showed up and started shitting things up. Those guys were written out for a reason.

Persona 4 Anime : 13
tumblr_lxcf07PiVy1qej5zpo1_500.gif

Well that was an interesting episode that felt like filler. Oh well, the new opening is hot. Kanji has the coolest glasses second only to Yosuke. The song with the lyric "turning misery into meaningfulness" is awesome as well as Signs of Love. Cant wait for a return to action.

As someone who only ever watched CCS, can someone explain what tsubasa chronicles is supposed to be?

I heard it's wacky as hell with different universes mixed in and stuff. Is that true?

So don't read the nitpicking posts. I haven't for a while.

Huh? i say its overhyped on here not that i dont like it (I actually like CCS as i watched the series, the 2 movies and the manga) .

Its basically using the CLAMP universe and characters to tell some crazy story (so you see characters from CCS , xxholic, Tokyo Babylon, etc)
