Asshole, ruined our game. You left what, 10 minutes in?

I ruined your game? We had a garbage team comp, I was told to go mid versus huskar as alchemist, we had no wards, and milkman had dominating by the time I left with no signs of slowing. We had, what, naix and a drow who couldn't farm because she is drow versus huskar in lane. That's a loss in my book.

Don't understand why you guys play salthouses when clearly its a salt factory.

Teams are never fair between newbies and vets, never go Captains mode and people take it way too seriously and get angry over the mic as if they are playing for 1million dollars.

The NaVI vs J4T match was really insane. The DK wasn't able to get anything going. I'll have to mess around with Dark Seer in matches now.

Someone teach me how to play DK. I always liked him and with the new stun change I'm looking forward to playing him more often.

COME FOR INHOUSE! PW: NEOGAF

And I went midas/treads/mjolnir/bkb and was completing skadi by the end of the game. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CARRY BUT BOTOLF STOLE THE SPOTLIGHT

No one cares, though? There's a few people who ragequit every now and then (rac) but most of the people who regularly play just don't give a shit.

I do find it funny how he still manged to out carry you. I wish I was able to do more, but for 75% of the game I had a ping of 500+. Plus, 1.09 was an ass early game, doing a level 1 gank on bottom!

Note to self: Never go mid if Milkman is on the other team, even if he's a hero that's unlikely to go mid, because he will probably go mid.

Sorry I rage quit that game. I was so distraught after kirby destroyed me with his level 1 ice armor.

We play inhouses because we don't want to deal with people constantly quitting.

First Faceless Void game was rather fun! 2nd Void game (MM) was not, due to our Furion ducking out to go into the jungle for extended periods when I needed lane support, and he'd compete with me for last hits when he showed. More generally, having to compete with my team for last hits elsewhere I sought them. Kinda salty, and it doesn't help the mood that Prophet rushed a Hand of Midas and an Aghanim's Scepter (meaning even less safe farm for me). He finished with the most last hits by far, but the both of us were ineffectual when it came to teamfights. Maybe my problem is I'm a pushover, I don't like fighting my team for farm :[

Free-farm jungling (srsly, big mistake not looking for me when I disappeared for 10+ minutes), while enjoyable, doesn't quite have the allure of jumping onto three and melting two with crits inside my chronosphere. I felt as if I was Batman leaping off a building, assorted mobsters and hooligans below.

You simply could not take the shame of failing on your second attempt to kill me due to the 30% slow.

I still don't get why you left, was our Support Antimage just too baller to handle? Were you that upset we declined to a remake?

Also, do any of you guys haves dumb fun names you give to characters? I like to called Enigma Iggy.

Of all the heroes, why Spiritbreaker? What is the point of throwing in useless pub heroes when they still have so many viable competitive heroes to add?

Because they dont care about putting competitive play over pubs and cause they are worried about introducing some of the other top tiers into the pool without enough counter. Thats the reason why Anti Mage is doing so well.

Why prioritize competitive heroes? And it's not like we're lacking in competitive picks, anyway.

Plus Spiritbreaker is tight, hater.

Oh, additional reason for salt: My Void was essentially no more valuable than a Crystal Maiden to the team. Too many instances to count where I was chased for 15+ seconds and no one TPed in to assist (even when I requested it vocally), or worse, an instance where I'd commit a chronosphere to a fight, whittle down a target and have it die to a teammate's autoattack. Normally I'd be fine with this, but in this case they backed and left me to die to the survivors. Nothing malicious to these things (all-gaffer team), it just seemed like nobody was thinking about the bigger picture and were only tending to their own last hits. End result was I wasn't capable of carrying anything and we had hoovered away our late game.

Carrying sure is stressful (and at times aggravating). I'm glad I'm not an angry person.

Dota 2: adventures with sodium!

Playing a match with a friend earlier today, It was a close start but towards mid game we pulled ahead with a clear lead and It gets to the point where we know were going to win, were leading in towers, and we have substantial farm. What makes it even better is that the opposing team was shit talking the entire time for absolutely no reason (seriously, I don't think anyone on our team ever said a single word), making their inevitable loss all the sweeter. Suddenly our carry comments on getting some bad lag and of course the inevitable happens, he gets DC'd and never ends up reconnecting. The match at this point drags well past the 60min mark as we slowly get pushed farther and farther back until they end up just barely winning it off a bad teamfight.

Save me Gaf, I am drowning in all of this salt.

(Also I wish there was an effect or something for when phase boots are active so I can anticipate if a player is about to run through a minion wave or know that I don't have to move out of the way for someone retreating.)

Most of the best supports are in though. Venge, Tide, Lich, AA, Veno, Dazzle, Furion, CM, Witch Doctor, Lion, Rhasta, Dark Seer, Omni.
I was hoping for some fun supports, not necessarily top tier. Hon has empath(ES style wall, lifestealer like ult)/martyr(Very tanky, with healer carry potential) which aren't amazing but they're still fun niche heroes.

How about that time I sacrificed myself to save you and you turned around to save me back and then we both died? :D

jesus, had a storm spirit that bitched from start to finish

I hope they start putting these assholes down, because they sure as hell don't make the game fun.

Most people think it will shift the game to end slightly faster, make the mid game more important, and give the Strenth Carrys some love.

I think the respawning with full mana though will make defending easier though.

You stick with us and we'll spoon feed you the creeps til you're nice and fat.

In that first void game of yours where Milk was CM I got scared shitless by the shadow fiend roaming ganking while I was Furion. I was so nervous that I sprouted our tinker instead of the sven that I was trying to gank.

But I recall trying to feed you when in lane. In reality while having two jungle heroes isn't a good thing, there should be enough flexibility for the jungle to not be shared. Void's jungling should probably take precedence over a Furion's in most cases, unless there's some kind of a hard push strat involved.

I've been catching up on this thread and there's some serious slander going on concerning my name. (I see you there Milkman...)

Pull-ups everytime you see me die? :(

Also I hope that damn Invoker never comes out, give me Tuskarr!

-Pick item independent heroes while learning (Lich, Dazzle, Crystal Maiden, etc)
-Be sure the team has a courier
-Buy wards when possible for vision
-Have map awareness and call missing heroes
-Never buy boots first
-Don't mindlessly auto attack creeps in the laning phase
-Press A + click on your own creep to deny it
-Play bot matches to get familiar with the UI, etc

I...uh....wow. Tell me that was sarcasm.

Optimally you'd have inhouses for vets and inhouses for newbies, though. T'was the same in HoN, and I suppose in LoL as well, where be they Crystal Maiden or Juggernaut, some vets would just crush the newer people.

While not saying "you vets needs to go MM", inhouses will definitively benefits when the beta is over/game is released and there'll be a flow of newer people who will all be able to learn and play together.
