Co-incidence time - Rasmus Faber not only produced the OP and ED for Lagrange but a few songs on Maaya Sakamoto's latest album. Maaya played Megumi Nakajima's mother in Macross Frontier. Both were given their big breaks in Shoji Kawamori shows with Yoko Kanno music.
As they say in Matantei Loki, FUSHIGI MYSTERY.
Sheryl was the better character by far in Macross F, but Megumi Nakajima's musical career since has been far more interesting than May'ns...
With that, I now become sucked in a vortex of needing to hear everything by him.

You're totally cheating with that Usagi Drop stuff; most of the backgrounds in the show are really bland and the perspective of the city scenes is usually all kinds of fucked up.
Because it's stupid. All the technology in the show is stupid. The blaster the guy was carrying was stupid, harder to aim accurately than a normal "gun" design, had to do something first, take form or whatever, it was fucking stupid. Why invent something dumber than what exists?
Then you had the dumb arrow thing. Sorry, I didn't even think it was a gag it was just stupid. Technology should make sense, that arrow doesn't make sense. An arrow over a chair or person's head's not any use at any time except showing someone their seat. Installing an arrow device thingy for the event you get a transfer student is idiotic, for seating your entire class at the start of the semester it makes more sense to use numbers on the desk or show a seating chart on the board and let them fucking sit down. You wanna fuck with a machine to show a fucking yellow arrow 20 times or so a class for each damn student? I wouldn't. And you can't call on a student with a floating arrow above their head because the student can't see it, so what fucking purpose was there for this stupid arrow except some stupid attempt to show that while sure there's spaceships and cars it's also the future, whooo. Fucking stupid. We got voice and fingers for a damn reason.
Computers always end up looking silly but they looked especially silly in this show with a search seemingly being nothing more than a slot machine type display, might as well get your information from a slot machine, seems like it'd be easier than their computers. I get the same interface after watching a clip on youtube, the future is now!
I hate shit that is shit for the sake of being shit. Bodacious Space Pirates oozes this failed methodology on almost every front.

You don't understand, all people are stupid but that doesn't, or shouldn't inform everything about people. As a group we're smarter. It's the opposite of that Men in Black quote. Stupid ideas are cast aside by the majority, stupid inventions are left behind by the majority, the stuff in Bodacious Space Pirates doesn't fit the bill, the technology would actually make their lives harder. Oh well, at least they have spaceships and flight sims. I hate technology that makes lives harder. That's the solution to a problem that doesn't exist. It is one of my pet peeves.

The Takakura's residence was certainly translated with the utmost care from the image-boards (specially on those flat wide shots posted), like proper of a planning from a "big-budget" animation film... Shōko Nakamura designs are lovely!
On the contrary, I think that is precisely a demonstration of boldness. More studios, like this one or J.C.STAFF did, could give more opportunities to men like Seiya Numata.
And to think that when I first saw that term I thought it was an acronym of 'No Translation Required', if you know what I mean...
In that sense, LAGRANGE - The Flower of Rin-ne could be considered as "refreshing" nowadays, strange times...
But Noirulus doesn't have to worry about this! Because teasing can also be a way of showing interest and respect, all between equals... or that is what I'd like to think.
