Kolarov is good going forward and he has a evil left foot on him! His free kicks are usually quite good, he's scored 2 I can remember this season. I think he has his frailties as a left back though. He can be rash, he reminds me of what Zaba used to be like, you used to worry every time he was defending in the area as he had a penchant to dive in.

Ah that sucks. Wish he was more consistent, if only to see him take all of City's free kicks. That goal against United was a beauty. As was the goal against Napoli.

Martin Samuel (my favourite football writer) has got a great piece on Balotelli in the Daily Mail today:

"Martin Samuel" "favourite football writer" eugh

Just read in the papers that Van Persie took his wife and kids to Dubai yesterday to meet up with Maradona. Awesomeness.

Rags say (again) that Ravel is going to do one.

I'm disappointed if he is going, but if he doesn't want it enough then fine. There are talented lads who do, and the club shouldn't have to go further than him to make the relationship work.

Hope it's still rag talk. He or his agent needs to make up their fucking mind, though.

His daughter looks scared

I pulled Cesena and Catania out of my ass though. I've been supplementing Football-Italia with La Gazzetta and the odd forum. Where do you go for your your Juvenews?
Everywhere really, and lately I've added twitter to the mix :P

Tonight is Tottenham - Everton and City - Liverpool right? Am I missing a game. And where can you watch the Carlington Cup match for god sake....

Hey, Martin Samuel did a good Greedy Greedy Liverpool piece a while back.

Rio tweet.

rioferdy5 Rio Ferdinand
Certain kids need their heads banging, they don't see what they got within reach, if only they FOCUSED 100%. Fix up, Make It Count.

Subtle.

Roma - Fiorentina? Sevilla - Valencia? Birmingham - Ipswich?

You can probably find a stream on wiziwig.

Yeah I paid a lot of money every month for the Dutch Sport 1 channel, which is supposed to show all European games. Only shows the Tottenham-match tonight. Got no choice I guess.

Is he really that good? Sounds like a drama queen to me.

Not worth the hassle if it carries on when the club really doesn't need the distraction. He wants to stay or he doesn't.

Good point on Redcaf. Rio's tweet could well be about the young chef who got drug-busted at his restaurant. He'd be a bit thick not to realise that people will assume Ravel. Maybe he's a bit thick.

England Under-16 Coach Kenny Swain said he's the best player he has ever seen come through the ranks. Bear in mind that guy has seen Rooney, Wilshere etc.

No question he's exceptional. But he's got to stay or go.

Dc, I'm reading that Dzeko is actually fit. Where did you hear about him not being fit :0?

:lol I miss that Pato. Now all we have is this:
zlatan-ibrahimovic-lu59ru3.jpg

Haha :D He ended up scoring the only goal at that match I watched at the stadium btw, against PSG.

Physioroom.com have got him out for a bit yet. And just a few people on Bluemoon quoting various sources. We'll see tonight!

Thats wrong, at this point the absolute worst thing you can say about Rio is he is in top 10 smartest footballers in the world

This keeps cropping up and it's completely counter-factual. Unless Fergie accepts a bid for Morrison then he can't "do one" until 2014. Similarly, Pogba can't up and walk 'till next year either. Contract end-dates and stuff are boring, but someone should really slip these tabloid writers a semblance of basic fact-checking.

It makes sense, though: a criminally troubled young talent (Morrison), a foreign player who's already had his head turned in coming to United (Pogba), and the Rooney saga a while back? The story almost writes itself. Except, well, the facts get in the way.

Not saying they'll definitely be in the United first team a few years from now or that Pogba's agent hasn't been stalling on a new contract, but there's a blatant sensationalist angle to this, and I think most worried United fans just need to relax.

Really is a shame that injuries screwed his career :(

Yeah it really was. Sad to see him stop way too early, he was great on the national team too. One of my favorite players ever because of his work rate, loved that guy so much.

Wilbury I watched Hugo yesterday, was hoping it would be a bit more powerful with the story - but still, a beautiful film indeed! The scenery was phenomenal and the soundtrack was so fitting.

I would love to join in on this conversation but damn movie isn't released until March here. I will see it then though!

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7423048/Ba-rubbishes-agent-claims

Regarding some dudebro saying Man Utd are going for Ba, Ba himself said:

"Really, I don't know how desperate this "armand doorn" can be to talk like he's my agent!!" Ba posted on his official Twitter account.

"He's nothing for me. Stop lying and show respect."

:lol

Anyway, his management team give a decent indication that Ba doesn't want to go anywhere and if anything is to happen, it's all in Newcastle's court; Ba is happy at the club anyhow.

Unfortunately we will still hear bullshit rumours and nonsense from shitty tabloids for the remainder of January.

As for Carroll, reps have come out saying there's no truth in him returning to Newcastle.

Stevenage FC's manager has left and is taking over at Preston. :(

Was always going to happen after he took them from the Blue Square Premier League to 7th spot in League 1 in just over 2 years.

Ba is wonderful. What a gift he is for Newcastle, they really deserve him. They have been playing quite well as a team this season. That performance against ManU was beautiful.

PAHAHA

Is that done using The Sims?

It surely looks like the engine from the Sims 3 right? The thing is by making their news coverage with the Sims engine as the basis, they give themselves a lot more work to do for a just one story. :P

Apparently Pardew has got the huff on with us because we played Travernier as a winger more than the full back position Pardew wants him to be at Premier League level.

Pardew would do well to notice why that was. Mainly because even at League One level the lad got absolutely murdered and spent most of the time on his arse at full back. He looked pretty accomplished going forward and was an asset to us out wide. Its a shame he's not going to get games or continue his development infront of big crowds and a winning team.

Talented player, but he'll never be a first choice Premiership full back for Newcastle or anybody else. At least not at this point in his career.
