I was at work earlier, working with this girl named Katelyn. We're talking like we always do, and she starts telling me about how she dropped out of high school.

I start telling her: "Katelyn, you have to go back [to high school]"

Which of course quickly morphs into:

"Kate, we have to go back! We have to go baaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccckkk!"

Over and over again.

I miss this show.

She didn't get it btw.

You were then fired for being drunk on the job.

Lost II: The Tail of Vincent the Dog

Edit: God damnit...

Just a heads-up to Lost fans, Christmas Eve makes for a great excuse to re-watch The Constant given that its climax is set today. It's such a kickass hour of television that it deserves an occasional revisit anyway, regardless of what you think of the whole series.

Highly recommended!

So I watched Season1 Episode8: Confidence Man last night.
Really enjoyed it. Jacks second punch to Sawyer had my rolling. He hits him once, everything goes silent. A few shots of the onlookers anticipating a kerfuffle, Sawyer sluffs it off, gets up, looks Jack in the eye, and.... WHAM! Jack hits him again! :lol It was great.

One Upon a Time is LOST II.

You might think so. I've watched a few Once Upon a Time eps and it's just not grabbing me. It's not a bad show, but I'd rather do other things. I just don't find it very interesting for some reason.

For contrast, by this time in LOST I was planning around air dates and eagerly anticipating each and every new episode. And talking about it religiously at work with co-workers. No one at work seems to care at all about this show.

I'm lttp but finished the series finale not long ago, and I have to say that season 6 was asscheeks. It just seemed like stuff was happening for the sake of it and the constant not knowing the arbitrary rules of the island was really annoying. Not sure how I'd rank the seasons but I think 3 and 4 are my favs.

Well, it's not like season 6 introduced that, but I guess it was more obvious, at that point.

Continuing my rewatch.
How can people hate Kate? "whatever the case may be" is so badass. holy shit. completely forgot about this episode.

Sucks that Jay and Jack finished (finally) their rewatch podcast.

Ffffff...

The ODI Lost Podcast maintains that they'll be back...but they are slow to upload. But when they do, they're amazing.

Having Jay and Jack was the last thing I was clinging onto with LOST...

I'm currently halfway through Season 4 and she's my least favorite character in the current cast. In season 1, she was great and seemed like a worthwhile person to have on your side. Somewhere between seasons 2 and 3 she slowly got Princess Peach syndrome and anytime the writers needed a damsel in distress, she was there without fail. After getting saved by either A. Jack or B. Sawyer they'd say something she didn't care to hear, slap them, then go to the other.

Don't even get me started on how she reacts to her actions in her flashback scenes. She acts like a victim when all she caused is havoc and chaos.

I wish so bad another show could come around and captivate gaf the way Lost did. I mean there's even better shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men etc. but they're just not the same. Lost was special and it was hilarious seeing everyone freak out after every twist or crazy thing that happened. People would say 'this is the best episode ever' after every episode it was awesome. There needs to be another show with the same gripping mythology.

Honestly I would rather have a show that gives you 4-5 seasons of OMG WHAT THE FUCK HOLY SHIT YESSS and then a last season fuck up instead of a show that plays it safe and just stays meh/okay for the entirety. If I had to choose I'd rather have the thrill and excitement over consistency and answers. Obviously I'd like both but sometimes you can't have that, especially when you're making shit up as you go along.

Fringe is one of those shows that has a potentially great mythology and could've been like Lost but they have so many filler episodes and don't discuss overarching mythology stuff as much as Lost did. That's why I can't get into it the way I did Lost. I've yet to watch an episode from this past season because I just can't bring myself to care that much. I will catch up on it but I wouldn't be caught dead missing a Lost episode because 95% of Lost episodes had something important in them when it comes to mythology or furthering the season's arc, they were all essentially must-see with the exception of a few fillers.

Also in response to the other guy, Kate is definitely awful. It's mainly because she's completely untrustworthy for the majority of the show and whenever she is trustworthy she ends up doing something stupid that fucks things up for everyone else and Jack ends up raging at her. Her flashbacks are always dreadfully boring too but she's not the only character that suffers from this. She's also the cause of the love triangle BS that took up too much time when everyone wanted to see Lost-type shit instead. Not that I'm against romance/love triangle story lines but I just find Kate to be annoying about it.

I agree with all of this.

I love Fringe, but TV in general...I just don't care as much. Whereas LOST was a 'plan your day around seeing it live' type of show. I don't remember the last time I watched a show when it aired. It was probably the finale.

Breaking Bad/Mad Men is probably as close as I'll come and I usually watch them the day after (as BB's 4th season came to an end, I was watching them the same day, though).

When I saw this thread bumped, for a second I thought Lost might be back....I set myself up for disappointment.
You're not caught up to season 8? Get on top of it!

Can't believe what they're doing with Vampire Libby's Dad now. He's gonna come face to face with Old Dominican Jacob any episode now.

I've had no drive to rewatch Lost, and I'm sure in many ways it won't hold up if I did. But I can't imagine having another TV viewing experience as fun and captivating. I still miss it.

Though when Hurley unlocked the gateway to hell and they introduced 20 other characters in to the mix only to kill them off when Ben turned out to literally be the devil after his long LOST brother had made each character flash forward into alternate planet point of view dimension time zone wizard worlds, I fucking lost my shit. I mean, they only just escaped the nega-island two episodes ago, twice (technically three if you count the Eternal Desmond Particle Mechanic Paradox), it felt like the show had almost jumped the shark.

Also, why does the statue have four toes?

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest the show is anywhere near as entertaining, just that the story telling mechanics and character development is identical. It's literally a carbon copy of the formula. Think of It as Lost Lite for Women and Children.

I miss this show. Haven't rewatched it save maybe an episode here or there since it ended and I didn't quite love the last couple seasons, but man was it fun to watch and talk about.

So I got a new TV right to replace like my old, much loved, perfect black level having CRT HDTV and FINALLY have my blu ray player hooked up via HDMI and...um...guys?

LOST IS THE BEST. IT'S EVEN BETTER THAN IT WAS BEFORE.

Like, with no overscan (YUCK!!) and all this detail and color? Holy fucking moly!!! It looks like it's from the future!!

(omg jin and sun's subtitles just came on and it's like as clear as a fucking computer monitor or something guys do you think this is legal for me to watch the show like this? at such levels of perfection i'm a little scared guys, halp, did you just hear that i think it might be coming from
