:jnc that is good. I don't remember seeing that before. That was from last years game in Lando, right? The look on Woodson's face in the background is priceless. Totally has that Chris Tucker "you got knocked the fuck out" thing going.

Buckethead says Giants are classless off of taunting picture
I thought Boley doing the discount double check would set him off more than the JPP pic. Besides, mastershake specifically asked to talk more trash last night! Though I honestly wasn't intending to taunt with the pic. Just thought JPP looked rather beastly in that shot.

Maybe Bucket is acting like us Charger fans (and LT) calling the Pats disrespectful and having no class after that loss a few yeas ago.

I got over it. They earned the right to mock our logo that day, get our coach fired, gut my soul, expose our organization (the San Diego "we'll get them next year" Chargers).

All hail lord brady.

Now I am just depressed.

That team had LT, Merriman and Rivers. Hard to like as an opposing fan. Still doesn't make what the Pats did alright.

Pats were just a bad team in 09. Ravens fans who think it's going to be the same are in for a big surprise on Sunday.
The Pats are probably going to win, not because they are the better team (I think the Ravens are more balanced), but because Flacco sucks gigantic donkey dicks on the road (that is where the similarities begin and end with FMT).

I am terrified right now of the Pats winning another Superbowl. I would rather the Niners win the next 10 with Alex as their qb and FMT becoming kind of GAF for all time then see the Pats win another with Brady.

He's fucking terrible dude, Schotty's concocted his own unique amalgam of shit and it's wholly his own.

I'm eating crow because I thought he wouldn't sniff another job unless his father gave him one.

May work out though, Saban considered him, Fishers not a dope, so they must know something outsiders don't.

Look on the brightside, you still have the Texans.

These guys all fail upward. Look at McDaniels. Pure Teflon. McDaniels may indeed be very clever, but what he is incapable of making adjustments to deal with poor personnel. That's been exposed in DEN and STL, but won't ever be an issue with Brady, that OL, and those TEs

And the Texans comment? You wound me

It was expected but just to make it official:

Yeah it was no secret he was going to hire him. I think of him like I thought of Wade Phillips before this past season. Very competent when the talents good.

I'm just going to tell myself that Williams calls so many ill-advised blitzes b/c he has no pass rushers, and Schotty failed b/c fatty and Tannenbaum created an untenable mess with Holmes and Sanchize

Thing was Fisher's last few hires in TEN didn't work out so good. It's almost like he doesn't have faith in his ability to spot up and comers. He just needs to nail the OL coach hire

Maybe. I felt the same way toward the Pats that week (I was bummed out that whole week, lol). But ultimately, I felt LT was trying to lesson the sting of the loss by his comments. Some of the fans were doing the same I think.

Could had the Pats players been more respectful? Probably. But they won, so idk. I do remember people hating Merriman hardcore though. He did act like a asshat, heh.

I still like Rivers personally. I know why some people hate him (he seems to whine alot on the field).

I think Bears fans piling on is the most adorable outcome of last night's humiliating defeat. It's nice that they have finally accepted their has-been organization has no prayer of toppling the Packers, so they better start cheering with all their might when someone else does it for them.

I've known your pack were frauds all along, obviously you did too seeing as you didn't want to take my avatar bet a long time ago.

Are you talking about the Pats players doing the lights out dance after the game? Chargers need to cry more.

AWESOME NEWS.
I like that GW was an agressive defensive coordinator, but the Saints do not have the talent necessary to blitz that much and only have single coverage in back for that long. We need a new strategy and I wonder who they will replace him with? He got us a SB when we had a HOF bound safety back there, but when sharper left everything went to shit.

Smart move by the Ravens to sign Pollard. I wouldn't doubt that he takes out Gronk on the first drive.

I wonder how the Ravens will try to limit his touches. Last year we held him to 4 catches for 65 yds and our safeties are trash. Whatever magic scheme we used that night, the Ravens would do well to give it a quick once-over at least.

thanks Futurevoid, you are a graceful winner. I kind of feel bad switching teams but my childhood team was the niners and im foreign so its not so bad :)

how are you guys any better than in 09? gronk and hernandez? healthy midget?

I'm assuming you don't remember the 09 team since you are asking that question. Running game is much better, and the receivers are superior. Moss quit towards the end of the season, and that was one of the reasons he was on thin ice at the start of the 2010 season. Gronk + Hernandez are the obvious reason, but Law Firm, Ridley, and Woodhead are much better than Maroney, Kevin Faulk, and Fred Taylor. During that game the Pats only really had Moss as a legit threat the other receivers were Sam Aiken, Ben Watson, and Julien Edelman. They also had Mathew Slater and Brandon Tate but I can't remember if they played in that game.

The receivers were fucking garbage is my point. Gronk, Hernadez, Welker, and Branch are so much better than the garbage 09 receivers. Pats have 3-4 legit options on offense now, and an ok running game. That Pats team was awful. They were mentally weak especially in the second half of games. Brady's numbers in the 4th quarter were especially horrendous if I remember correctly.

Revis and Cro took out Branch and Welker one on one. At that point it's much easier to focus on the TEs of the Pats.

That team wasn't the same after the Colts loss that year.

If the Packers had beaten the Giants by seven points or fewer on Sunday, the NFL offices in Manhattan would have been besieged by calls, emails, pitchforks, and/or torches as to the failure of referee Bill Leavy to overturn a ruling on the field that Packers receiver Greg Jennings had lost possession of the ball in the first quarter before he was down.

Even though the Giants won the game by 17 points, Leavy’s indisputable failure to find that indisputable evidence existed to reverse the non-fumble finding has made a major stir.

The league has explained the decision:

“Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1 of the NFL Rule Book (page 35) states: ‘An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended: (a) when a runner is contacted by a defensive player and touches the ground with any part of his body other than his hands or feet,’” the league said in a statement emailed to PFT by NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. “So by rule, if Jennings’ calf was on the ground prior to the ball coming loose, he is down by contact. Contrary to what was suggested during the game, there is no need for the runner’s knee to be on the ground.”

That’s a not-so-subtle slap at FOX, whose broadcasters (including rules analyst and former NFL V.P. of officiating Mike Pereira) believed that Leavy had committed a pretty big blunder. In the end, Leavy’s decision apparently flowed from uncertainty based on the video as to whether Jennings’ calf was on the ground before he lost possession of the ball.

“Rule 15, Section 9 of the Rule Book (page 98) governs instant replay reviews and states: ‘All Replay Reviews will be conducted by the Referee on a field-level monitor after consultation with the other covering official(s), prior to review. A decision will be reversed only when the Referee has indisputable visual evidence available to him that warrants the change,’” the league said in the statement.

“Referee Bill Leavy conducted the instant replay video review and determined that there was no indisputable visual evidence to warrant reversing the on-field ruling of down by contact. As a result, the ruling on the field stood.”

That’s fine, and we appreciate the explanation. But the video clearly showed the ball coming out before any part of Jennings’ leg was on the ground.

Many of you will assume that the league is merely circling the wagons on this one. Even though the NFL has been candid in the past about some officiating mistakes, that assumption seems to be valid this time around.

The disparity between the talent and execution of our offense vs our defense is incredible.
If we can get the defense in line like in 09, it will be hard to stop the Saints anywhere.
Which DC's are available right now?

THERE ARE NO DC'S AVAILABLE DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it too late to hop on the 49ers bandwagon? They remind me of the Skins: a powerhouse of the 80s gone through rough times in recent years due to a change in ownership. Also on a personal level, I have been told before that I have small hands. With Tebow proving to be a false messiah I just really need something/someone to believe in.

I see it now. This man is the truth.

I know there's only one Revis--but do you think the Ravens secondary can do this to you guys as well? There should definitely be more pressure up front than we had even with Shaun Ellis playing out of his mind that night.

All I know is that after Saturday I'm rooting for Alex Smith like he was Tim Tebow.

I'll take the job.
I'm sure I could come up with some brilliant schemes, I'll be the Greg Olson of defense!

I have also been told this dark fact, my brother. Together we shall unite and take down the damn dirty apes with huge hands from New Jersey!

Hernandez was hurt last year. No such luck for the Ravens. If the Pats O-line plays good they are going to win the game. They generated no pass rush against Houston but that may have been schematically to stop Foster. I don't know. They will play man on the outside. Everyone does now against the Pats. Welker and Brady murder a zone so it's going to be alot of man. You can't double everyone. Hernandez will be the wildcard.

AFC championship game is the nastiest most vile shit infested excuse of a game I have ever seen. I hope both teams crush each other until no one is left standing and whoever wins that shitfest limps into the SB with key pieces missing. Skanks from New England or convicts from Baltimore. What a fucking game.

My vision of the game goes like this:

About 4 minutes into the game when all the fans are good and sleepy from the boredombowl, a HERO appears. The one man who can save us from this game of evils. He races across the field, leaving destruction in his wake. He parts the earth and sends all of the sinners to H-E-double hockeysticks!

No doubt the Ravens can do this. Other teams have taken out Welker without a guy like Revis. Branch can be taken out of a game as well. The problem is I haven't seen a team who has covered both of the TEs this season. It's usually one or the other. The Pats use the two TEs now so much more than last season. They use them almost twice as much this season than last season. Gronk doubled his reception totals, and Hernandez would have doubled his receptions if he didn't get hurt early in the year.

I know this is obvious but the key is Suggs/Ngata. If Suggs has a game like Ellis had last season it's going to be hard for the Pats to win. That would mean more Gronk blocking to help protection which plays right into the Ravens hands. The Pats could play more 3TE while using an olineman as the third TE to counter this. If Vollmer is healthy you would see a lot of Solder playing the 3TE.

Gronk can also have an effect on Suggs. Suggs may have to help chip Gronk which would hurt the Ravens. Just some really great matchups coming up in this game. Ngata can crush the Pats because Mankins has sucked balls most of the season. I would put Ngata on Mankins as much as I could if I were the Ravens. Especially because Mankins is not %100 right now either.

Edit: Also this is just a feeling and I can't prove this either way Brady early in the year was zoning in on Gronk or Welker. It was either one or the other which hurt him. Like I said there is no way I can prove this it's more of a gut feeling watching Brady play.

Hernandez was hurt last year. No such luck for the Ravens. If the Pats O-line plays good they are going to win the game. Hernandez was hurt, but Brady was awful. Even with a healthy Hernandez I think the Pats lose. The game plan coming in was awful, and Belichick made some retarded coaching decision. The Brady interception really killed the Pats. After he threw the interception he wasn't the same player.
