I'm going to give you guys credit, you're pass rush was awesome last week. You have some real young talent there. New England does not have that. People are forgetting that the Ravens played a top tier D last week. Were we supposed to win by 35 pts? Also, we gave up 13 points, that's a good defensive performance.

I'll say it again, next week comes down to one thing: Can our (much better than Denver's) defense make Brady look human, and can New England's (much worse than Houston's) defense make Joe Flacco look elite?

NE had enough pass rush to make Baby Jesus cry.

I'm rooting for Baltimore simply because they're playing the Patriots. Asside from that, I don't think anyone gives a shit about the team one way or another, playoffs or no playoffs. They're like the Brewers of the NFL.

I care about the Brewers

Ben is the biggest drama queen in the NFL.

This guy definitely gives him a run for his money though.

I am saying this with all seriousness.

Tim Tebow is far and away the toughest person playing the quarterback position with regularity today. I don't even see how someone could question it. There is no other quarterback who takes the consistent hits he takes willingly.

I believe Ben is the most sacked qb in the league over the past 4 years.

Now those hits might not be willing or "consensual" the way they are with our Lord and Savior Tebow, but I don't think that matters.

He was also crippled and hurting his team at the end of this year. Tough!

Not every team has the luxury of a Flynn or a Yates.

Our backup is Batch, who while decent, is more fragile than Tom Brady.

I was all in favor of getting Jeff George but the Steelers front office stopped taking my phone calls for some reason.

Just read Flacco is the first QB to make the playoffs for their first four seasons, and also he is winningest QB for their first four seasons (44 wins). Which just pisses me off knowing how good our team could have been with a legitimate QB.

I am so glad you read that the correct way.

He has the Tim Tebow factor.

His team wins because he's a great leader and motivator. Irreplaceable.

Is the 2008 draft class the worst ever?

Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco
Brian Brohm
Chad Henne
Kevin O'Connell
John David Booty
Dennis Dixon
Josh Johnson
Erik Ainge
Colt Brennan
Andre Woodson
Matt Flynn
Alex Brink

No doubt Flynn is the best of the group.

going on about which QB is the toughest is sort of silly when you consider how little QBs are hurt/touched compared to players at most other positions.

I was dead set on trading for Braylon Edwards, Once the Jets traded up to get Sanchez, that was dead as I figured they had more than enough picks. (Is it me or do the Browns always trade down?) After that I just wanted an LB. I guess it's a good thing I'm not a GM!

Choice quotes:

Don't worry Welli, you weren't the only one. I was salty they didn't take Britt.

The new CBA pretty much eliminates skipping the game unless you are in the super bowl or are having surgery. Supposedly anyway. We'll see if the guys who are in the championship games are forced to go.

Giants age, Bears are interviewing Marc Ross today for the GM job. Hope they offer the position to him and he accepts it! I want a guy who can draft talent to beat the Packers!

He is better than those two. I'd say he is a tier below Rodgers, Brady, and Brees. Still good enough to build a championship contender if you give him some real weapons on offense.

I think you win "most bizarre edit of the week" award. The two posts had nothing to do with each other??!

Holy shit, Rob Lowe saying his people are indicating Peyton is retiring today. SAY IT AIN'T SO, PEYTON!

(I have no idea why he would know this, but he is seemingly a Colts fan based on his TL)

I was just going to post this. Who the fuck does Rob Lowe know? He acts like he has fucking reporters with the Rob Lowe Network dropping hot scoops.

Sorry, I'm still in the after glow of Rodgers being Fraudgers and the Packers setting history by being the first 15+ win team to lose their first playoff game. Tough to stay concentrated!

Thankfully that's buffered by the Super Bowl championship. It's easy to say there is always next year when you just won one and are the second youngest team in football.

How's criminally neglectful dad Urlacher? Getting any younger?
