NFL Super Bowl XLVI |OT| Matchup More Unwanted Than Madonna's Halftime Show

Starting to remind me of the Pats overconfidence the last time these two teams met in a Super Bowl.

The Giants have been understated all year. I don't think they are overconfident going in. I'm sure the media attention will shift to Brady and "revenge" or "redemption" eventually. We've only just begun...

Hahaha :(

For those of you who enjoy my contributions, thanks for the kind words. I know i irritate people at times but I can't help it. I've watched way too much football over the years, but I really started to get into the strategy around '02, when Madden finally went online. In order to stop losing I had to go digging for info.

I like your posts. Here I was thinking that you were possibly a coach, and come to find out Madden sparked your knowledge. Either way they are good posts.

It doesn't matter where you live.

It doesn't matter what jerseys you hang in your closet.

It doesn't matter if your team was out of contention by week 7 or week 17.

For two weeks, we are all Giants fans. For two weeks, we will be united against cheating, the tears of golems, torn-up hoodies, and assholes that drop the letter "r" from everything they fucking say.

For two weeks, we stand against the Patriots. I call on you, GAFfers, to cast aside your hatred for one another for just a moment in time. The Rapistberger jokes, the cracks at Brett Favre's tiny schlong, the mindless frothing from the mouths of Iggles fans... All must cease.

Our petty squabbles mean nothing now. There is but one enemy, and his name is Tom Brady.

United we stand, divided we fall. Never forget.
please..Brady go get that 4th ring!

I think the media will keep saying the Pats defense is terrible and won't stop the Giants.Maybe a little of revenge.

Future I love and respect you like a brother but I disagree with your opinion. I think that Bradshaw can make something out of nothing, but if you call his number 10 times, 7/10 he won't follow the designed play. He is like watching the offensive equivalent of LaVar "Freestyle" Arrington. The guy is consistently cutting out and away from his lead blocker or away from where the hole is created. It looks great on TV, yeah, but he's being stupid. If you go back to a number of games where Bradshaw and Jacobs played together and got the roughly same amount of carries, I believe that most times Jacobs has a higher YPC.
It's all good. Like I said - terrible vision. No disagreement there. I know you love Jacobs and if the big fella looked like he did against Atlanta all year long I'd be with you. I just think the tires are wearing and it's time for the both parties to move on. For what it's worth, I still love his pass protection. He's leagues beyond Ware on that front.

It's telling to me that Jacobs didn't get much of any work against the Niners for instance. Not that the running game was producing much but 3 years ago Jacobs would have been man #1 in setting the physical tone in that game even if it was for 2-3 yards at a time.

With NEs poor play in the AFC championship, the Giants winning the last matchup, and how the Giants have been trending, the Giants will be the media's favorite.

oh and some WR by the name of David Tyree just showed up. hmmm..... ;)

I know it's a meaningless game no one cares about and I am late bringing it up but Cam Newton being selected to replace Eli in the Pro Bowl over Stafford is goddamn ridiculous.

Packers fan cheering for Brady?

Packers Age, disown this man!!!!!

:P

Get this guy to excommunicate him.

I don't think they will drive that story. Not enough drama behind it. You can only talk about how bad the Pats defense is before people get bored. I'm not sure what will stick, but the circus is just firing up. Can't wait...

Where is this Giants overconfidence stuff coming from? This makes no sense.
Likely talking about the media favoritism.

The Giants aren't going to come in under the radar this time regardless. Plenty of analysts will pick them to win.

The NFC was the vastly superior conference this year, and Pats fans know it in their hearts and are bracing for the 55-10 drubbing they're going to endure.

Too many people claiming the Pats have no chance. I'm nervous.

Giants must win. We saw the tremors last night, but if the Pats win the lifelong swell will wash us all away in its wake.

Super Bowl XLVI: the battle of two fanbases that have already had it pretty good in recent years. Maybe I'm a bad football fan but this matchup doesn't have me excited in the least and I don't really feel like I can invest a rooting interest in either side.

I guess I'll root for the commercials, but I just know that Bud Light and E-Trade are going to let me down as per usual.

Somebody remind me before the weekend to buy tomatoes and cilantro so I can at least make myself some good salsa to go with the game.

Maybe Rors knew and that's why he left like an animal might fleeing before a natural disaster.
