Called it! Can't wait!
And I just got through Act II of my Diablo II Auradin run! :D

I think what he's saying is that the whole point of inviting people to PM you is to avoid clogging up the thread with no-content posts, and if you first PM them and then make a no-content post to inform everybody that you sent a PM you are being a Bad Internet Citizen.

Totally agree and that's how I understood the original message too but by looking at some of other peoples' replies it looked like there was some confusion.

All is good! Nothing to see here...move along, move along!

- The redoing of the stats is fine but the balance is off. Wizard/Witch Doctor are getting the short end of the stick. The main damage stat for Barb, Monk, and DH simultaneously provides some sort of damage mitigation. Meanwhile the Monk and WD get increased health from orbs? WTF? Intelligence should have given them increased resistance or something. The health globe thing makes more sense under vitality.

Just so you know, it's not like in Diablo 1/2 where you assign attribute points. They go up automatically and are supplemented with items. At least, up to Level 13 this is the case. Not sure if this adjusts your stance on it or not :)

Finally got into the Diablo 3 beta today, first thing that caught my attention during gameplay was some mad stuttering... sort of fixed it by relaunching the game, it will sometimes stutter if I click on a friendly NPC or if new monsters spawn.

The base damage on slower weapons has been increased. This is because we’re also increasing the potency of elemental damage properties, and elemental damage benefits faster weapons more than slower weapons.

Awesome. This is exactly what I thought they should do to further differentiate 2Handers from dual and fast single weapons.

3 years of no Attributes, and here we are.

Is there any way I can give my brother access to the D3 Beta on his computer? I won't be around for a while, and he would like to give it a go.

Argh friend invited me over to see the game in action after work and it has been down all day. One day I will actually get to play this game, one day it will come out. Until then I'll squint really hard at Diablo II and pretend its Diablo III.

Is there a check or anything to see what system it is running on?
Don't think you need to download the system test for it, thought it might scan your hardware?

Hundreds of people have shared the beta so I don't think it would be an issue.

Thanks for the help, Hazaro. At least he can play it while I'm on the road.

Update: 11:15 p.m. PST

We're continuing to work to deploy Beta Patch 10 and anticipate that it could take another hour to complete the necessary tasks. We anticipate that the game will be available again by 12:00 a.m. PST, and appreciate your patience until it is.

So at this rate there will be 9 hours in between when I need to get ready for class and the new extended maintenance ends.

What ratio of Diablo:Sleep shall there be?

6:3? 7:2? 8:1? Oh the possibilities

Hell even I'm getting sleepy and I'm nocturnal, I've ran thru act 2 twice today in Diablo II in the time they've taken, once in SP and once on Bnet.
