What's your take on the DE/OLB group? I know you're not a fan of the edge rushers, but what about space eaters?
I'm not sure what to think to be honest with you. But just to be clear we're talking about 3-4 ends right?
Crick was good last year, good motor on that guy, can get blown off the the ball though and if he doesn't get a guard/tackle with his first step he has trouble disengaging.
Worthy really flashed at times, but that dude is just too inconsistent. Big 12 champ game is perfect example. Konz and Zeitler destroyed him the first half, then he comes out in the 2nd half and plays really well for a good stretch, then he went to sleep again.
That entire LSU DL did nothing but penetrate, they were in your backfield at the snap, Brockers looked good to me. Mingo's the one I want, bet he goes really high next year, guy is a demon. Best edge rusher out of the SEC in quite some time.
Watched a lot of Clemson games, Thompson never really stood out to me but he did make plays.
As mentioned before I do like Ingram, but again size is a concer. Where do you play this guy?
I don't know what to think about the front 7. I like Upshaw but his size is a concern, can he cover? Lots of small LBs. Pre injury Hightower looked tremendous and he was playing more OLB/jack, now he looks like Rolando McClain but without the cover skills, two down backer.
Feel confident, about the OL, receivers, and running backs. Everything else seems like a toss up.
Edit: As always just my observations, feel free to drop more info, hard to watch everyone. Also like Chapman a lot but he's strictly a NT, dude is perfect for the Steelers. I like a lot of the Bama front 7 guys, but I'm just worried they're better as a group than standalone.
