As a fan I just love to point this out. 5-0 baby! Montana the only 3 time super bowl MVP. Steve Young the most TD passes in a super bowl (6). As stated above: participants in the biggest blowout in super bowl history.

Hmmmmm.....maybe I'm still a bit salty from Sunday.

Yeah..Phillips is correct.

What two former players, who were on Superbowl wining teams for the Cowboys, have also won a Superbowl as a Coach?

This has me stumped. Ditka was easy. I searched Wikipedia and the best I can come up with is Billick, though he never actually played for the '77 Cowboys (or anyone)

RetroGreg needs to get with the times and embrace his Packers fandom.

I originally said that, but then changed it to just coach after I saw he only won one as an assistant coach. You quoted my edit, so I figured you didn't see the original post. My apologies.

And no other SuperBowl winning Cowpokes have ever won a SB as an assistant as some kind?

Someone give Wellington his mod powers back!

I hope we get something akin to the "We're only going to score 17 points? Haha... ok" stuff we had during the last Giants-Patriots game.

Interesting analysis of the Giants - Pats Week 9 Meeting.

4. Field position was an issue. Drives in the first half started at the 5, 6, 17, 20, 11 and 9-yard lines, with the Giants doing a nice job of making the Patriots work on a long field (0 points in the opening 30 minutes, snapping a streak of 74 straight games in which they had scored points in the first half). On 10 of the Patriots' 12 drives, they started at their own 21 or deeper. Seven of those drives started after a punt, as the Giants' Steve Weatherford had a solid day. On the Patriots' side, kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed a 27-yard field goal at the end of the second quarter, his shakiest kick of the season.

Gotta say if that field position repeats in this game I don't see the Pats winning.

I really want to talk myself into the Schotty era. Seems like the Jets entire offseason is devoted to making sure Sanchize's feelings don't get hurt. And as many times as I read all the insults about his playcalling and how terrible he is, I also have to remember that NYC also fired Coughlin and Fewell numerous time this year. It is a city mob that demands blood whenever something goes wrong, and that guy was Schottenheimer for Jets fans.

Still, it's hard not to look at that Giants game and see Sanchez flinging it around 50 times and not wonder what they hell he was doing. He can't be worse than McDaniels, but I'm hoping for more than that I guess.

And Gregg Williams better freaking awesome, b/c the dude talks lots of shit for someone who got embarrassed by Alex Smith. Fisher and Williams both have their sons on the coaching staff, and they still don't have a GM. The Rams are the worst drafting team in the league, and it's the same shitty scouts at least for this year.

mmm

MY Quarterback throws for 5000+ yards and 40+ Touchdowns and gets less votes than a fucking rookie.

Quite glad Grossi has been removed as the beat writer of the Browns for the Plain Dealer. Whilst he wrote some interesting stuff from time to time it was obvious he had a strong bias.

I'm in Indy this week, city looks pretty awesome right now. I leave tomorrow like right when they open the Super Bowl village deal. Fuck I hope it's not a tangled mess.
