Goodell did something good for a change, I've wanted more TNF and he delivered. Slotting every team in is just icing on the cake. As a fan I just want the opportunity to watch every team, good or bad, at least once. Good move.

Now if only people actually had access to the NFL network!

NFL Network is part of the basic cable package for everyone but the two holdouts.

plus I think the NFLN games are going to be streamed on the website live now?

basic cable is 100 a month for you Dragon?

I have to pay an extra $5 a month for NFL, MLB, Versus/NBC, NBA. Well worth it actually because I enjoy 3 of the 4.

Edit: Cable is a bit of ripoff, my bill just went up 15. My internet, telephone, cable still comes in at just under 140 so it's not as bad as some of my friends, Time Warner kills them. The fees and taxes add quite a bit, cable modem is probably the only one I can rid. Could use a cable card as well, but I like having a DVR.

Do you get the redzone channel? That might be what you're actually paying for. NFLN used to be in the premium sports tiers, but that was supposed to change a year or two ago.

I think you have to pay some unreasonable amount to get it for Cox cable. I know Direct TV has it but meh.

I'm in the weird position where that PS3 Sunday Ticket thing is a better value for me than paying for cable or satellite television because the only thing I watch is football...everything else is Netflix or some other avenue.

Ask for them to lower your price. You can haggle with most cable companies.

Flown in from NYC this afternoon. I hate the Giants, but they have great taste. Umbertos.

I know it's not what you mean, but a 6-4 final score would be hilarious.
I chuckled at Easterbrook's prediction:

Gregg Easterbrook Giants, 2-0 Confusion about the new playoff overtime format reigns when the Giants onside kick to start overtime and the Patriots recover but run the wrong way.

If you look at the rest of the predictions I think it ends up being pro-Giants.
Did you read the remaining predictions? Half of them are a joke.;) Though to be honest neither of these teams is an "underdog" IMO.

More fun:

Chris Forsberg Patriots, 17-14 The Revenge Tour crescendos with Rob Gronkowski making a ridiculous TD grab that's one part David Tyree and another part Curt Schilling's bloody sock. No leaving the field early for Bill Belichick this time around. The only thing that'll tear him away from this celebration is submitting the paperwork to rename his boat VI Rings.

This game will be a toss up, I want Sheli to win but after losing in the first round of the playoffs, the salt in the wound will be a 4th Brady Ring. So the Pats will probably win.

I also predict that it'll be a horribly boring game.

Refs let holding go and let DBs clutch and grab? Pats win

Gronk hobbled? Giants win

Gronk healthy and game called straight? Giants

Teams are so close that it really will come down to whether the refs just let everything go. Physical game favors Pats b/c of the TEs size advantage and the slowness of their D

I'm surprised people think the teams are close. Giants should annihilate them, shouldn't even be close, total domination. I'll go as far as saying that Pats would be the worst team to win a Superbowl, last couple of decades, if they pull it out.

That said, I expect the Giants to lose, because that's just how shit rolls.

Belichick knows how to muddy up the game. Did it versus the Bills and Rams. Granted, he has no video footage this year.

Giants will help them out, seem to find ways to lose against teams they should handle. I hope they win, but I'm expecting a L.

I'm not even all that excited. I didn't wanna see them go one and done again, I didn't wanna see them lose against the Ravens again, but I never expected them to get this far. I don't really see how they would pull off a win. I don't think they can rely on Brady outside the regular season anymore, and with Gronk injured, the Giants' O is probably about as good by now. And on D it's no contest, really.

Niners would've been so much more enjoyable to me, as I never expected the Pats to win the SB this year, but will still be pretty salty about losing to the Giants again.

My biggest worry and I've voiced it several times. It's been the story all season. It would suck to see them shit it up in the biggest game of the year after the run they've been on.

Shahid Khan announced Friday, via John Oehser of Jaguars.com, that the team will be switching the color of their uniforms from teal to black for the 2013 season. The team previously used black as a third jersey, usually for prime time games, but former owner Wayne Weaver discontinued the practice in 2009 because he felt the team’s various uniform combinations got in the way of establishing a permanent identity.

I tend to think it's not going to be as close as all the "experts" seem to think. The problem is that the Giants under Coughlin, when expected to do well, usually shit the bed. But even on a bad day, there should be no earthly reason why the Giant O can't put up points on the Pat D. Giants should win by 10 IMO, but we'll see what happens.

Let's face it, you beat a garbage Falcons team. Then you beat a crappy Green Bay defense that couldn't even stay competitive with the refs basically trying to hand them the game. Finally you followed it up with a win(barely) over a team that converted 1(!!!) third down all game, and I think 1 pass to a WR all game. Not exactly the toughest gauntlet to run. Whereas the Pats had to beat...well yeah, no one. Parity sucks. When all is said and done, I have a feeling the Giants-49ers game is going to be the best the NFL offered this season.

This team is better than the '01 Pats team who were mediocre offensively. It's also hilarious you think a team with a point differential of -6 in the regular season wouldn't be the worst team to win a Super Bowl in the last 20 years.

I think the Giants are playing better but saying they should dominate them is a bit much. In their regular season meeting the Pats had a ton of turnovers and lost on a late Eli drive.

The Giants defense has been pretty bad most of the season and allowed more points than the Patriots during the year.

I think what people see is the Giants have played better teams in the playoffs and they think that's an indication of how this game will go. And I think while they've been more impressive it's ultimately irrelevant.
