You're trying to imply I'm a hypocrite because I apparently wrote off De Gea but gave Savic the benefit of the doubt. But... I never wrote De Gea off. I was correcting Brinbe who said he hadn't been poor this season. Stop reaching mate, you're not doing yourself any favors.
To clarify, my definition of 'rubbish' is more good than bad. I feel he's fucked up more than he's shined. My opinion.
In regards to the A-League...Yes, I have said it's on the up. It is. But I have never said it was great, like you claimed I had. What the fuck are you talking about? :lol
Forgive me for being a bit late in response, as the issue has definitely passed, but I just went out and took advantage of the nice sunshine today.
Just want to clarify to Kermit and maybe others, that I never said De Gea hasn't made costly mistakes at times this year, because I've definitely clarified that in my previous response and I've definitely criticized him in previous threads/matches. And I never said he's been close to perfect or anything.
But my only point is that those mistakes are perhaps a bit magnified due to the club and position/expectations. And from watching him from month-to-month, I just don't think that a few mistakes MAKES him a totally bad/rubbish keeper for us (and on this point, I can see where others would disagree) and considering that despite his youth, new league, rotating back-line, he's helped us to get to 2nd. And in most mundane games he's played without issue, and has even saved us a few results, but no-one but Utd supporters are prob paying close attention then.
So, perhaps my only issue, (and what I was defending in the first post you quoted) is that the criticism has been a bit too much. Of course, on rating him, our opinions differ there, but eh, opinions. That's Footie-GAF. =)
