I don't get these kinds of videos. I saw some other one with some guy putting stuff in a blender.

I really don't understand what's supposed to be entertaining about destroying expensive things?

The blender, if I think it's the one you're watching, started all this. They were just showing off how powerful their blender is.

It became a sort of a meme nowadays. Now we have a bunch of terrible copycats.

They do it for attention, even if it makes themselves look ridiculous. I mean, if that's all the person is going to do then just donate the money or do something else good with it.

People just want their 15 minutes of fame.

Unrelated , but I'm uploading a video of me wrestling a tiger....j/k :P

I think this is it for me:

Wifi, 8GB, Dungeon Hunter. (Amazon deal.)
Hori Screen protector/Hori silicone protector/4Gamers deluxe travel case.
Uncharted GA
Unit 13 Preorder
Gravity Rush When available
Monster Hunter FU
And maybe Motorstorm RC if the demo sways me.
I am so Jazzed for this I cant believe it!
Pity I live in Britain and cant get anything early.

Never heard of it but if you search the name you'll find other products they make screen protectors for (i.e. phones and stuff) and they get usually 3.5/5 or 4/5 for ratings.

The difference is $0.04 from the Hori one.

I was a bit leery because it seems so obvious that they left themselves a review on amazon:

[quote="simplyjo" on Amazon]I have been using screen protectors all this time as I am very possessive about my gadgets, be it my digital camera, cell phone or gaming devices. And I had been waiting anxiously for the Sony's PlayStation Vita, which launched recently in Japan. Needless to say, I must have been among one of those early buyers who are an ardent follower of technology. I simply love playing games and I love all my gadgets and take good care of them.

The next on my shopping list after buying PSP Vita was Skinomi TechSkin, that I simply found to be excellent screen protectors for the PlayStation. It is perfectly compatible with Sony Playstation PSP Vita. I found out that the clear thermoplastic urethane film is the same that is used protect NASA space shuttles and military aircrafts! Moreover, this virtually indestructible film comes with unmatched screen clarity. I find it very smooth and non sticky. The best part is that it comes with life time replacements form the manufactures.

Besides the Skinomi film for my Sony Playstation PSP Vita, I got an application solution, and installation squeegee. I had no trouble applying the Skinomi TechSkin as there were detailed instructions. The Playstation doesn't look bulky at all after applying the skin like I find in other cases. The original sleek design of the device doesn't look obscured in any way under the skin. Moreover, I feel it easier to grip and hold the gadget due to the grip-improving ridges.

I feel confident now that my gadget is completely scratch proof. And if I do find any issues, I have the Lifetime Replacements Program to depend on. I am simply going to have a great time with PSP Vita, noe that I have made is sure it's in good skin and completely protected. [/quote]

went ahead and called amazon. now my 32gb card, hsg, and wipeout 2048 are all shipping soon. overnight shipping. once again amazon has great customer service. seems it was a glitch since the cards are shipping early. woohoo! now if i could just talk them into shipping my vita! lol.

Guys i just spoke with amazon customer service because my release date delivery order of wipeout and hot shots golf hasn't shipped, they apologized for not shipping my order because there was some kind of error, told me that i would get my order on the estimated delivery date and gave me 20 dollars credit for the inconvenience.

Actually, I looked this one up:http://www.zavvi.com/10571929.html from the people who actually manufacture it (I cant remember, I think its 4gamers) and they have other pics which show space for charger etc.
I ordered it for myself.
Edit:
Here is the manufacturers website...really good case imo.
http://www.4gamers.net/products/ps-vita-protection/deluxe-travel-case

Oh man, thanks for that. I actually have a PSP one very similar to that but it has a seperate padded compartment inside to protect the PSP. That should work fine.

What I meant was though, I had my eye one something different this time around. I'd like a hard case and these first two I really take a shining to but all three of these seem to be missing enough room for a USB cable.

Case 1 http://www.zavvi.com/10587252.html (This one really needs an image with the Vita sitting inside. Also looks like it could be the most durable)

Case 2 http://www.zavvi.com/10587251.html (I know this one stores 8 games and 2 memory cards. Great design also)

Case 3 http://www.zavvi.com/10587253.html(The traditional clam shell design like they use for glasses but again, doesn't show enough pics. Looks like no room for anything).

Good day today!

Now I just need my 1st Edition Bundle, Blazblue and UMvC3!

Smashing a Vita: boring, microwaving one: snooze. I want to see someone disassemble and eat one, if only this guy was still around...

On a more serious note, have Sony shown any kind of video out or capture hardware for the Vita? Gameplay videos and more importantly GB Quicklooks are going to suck if they have to film over the shoulder.

What's the point of buying those earbuds? they're probably kind of crappy and everyone already owns headphones

They are PS Vita branded!! People always seem to waste money at a hardware launch. I still don't understand why people are so obsessed with the screen protectors but fools and their money.

The system doesn't come with earphones, right? I remember the PSP did. Agreed though.

I try to minimize accessories purchases at all costs. The only accessory I'll get is a 8 GB stick.

Probably to protect the screen of a $300 device. That you touch. A lot.

Built in microphone, plus given they're Sony headphones I doubt they're THAT bad. They make some pretty solid cheap ones at least.

Even for protectors that WILL get scratched it means that any damage can be "reversed" simply by buying a new one. Good luck doing that when you have to remove the entire faceplate and get an unofficial one!

Of course, this actually WAS doable on GBA and earlier, but I guess that's now considered an outdated concept.

Has anyone else have items that they preordered from amazon that say shipping soon but the estimated time of arrival is still the 15th?

That can't be right, right? Why would the shipping speed be so slow?

Same here I canx them and then re-ordered and they will all be here tomorrow. No extra cost. Amazon Prime.

<-- Tried twice and failed. Had to try, even though I knew it was pretty much futile :D

The only other headphones I have are for my iPhone and stay in my truck. So, for $20, no loss. They sound pretty good. Tried them with my iPhone ;)

Why criticize that? Don't want em, don't buy em

Skinomi TechSkin - Screen Protector Shield for Sony Playstation PSP Vita

Just ordered mine. I talked to a customer service rep from the company and they guaranteed me it will be here before next Wednesday

Normally a 24.99 dollar value, 6.95 on Amazon.

Product Description

Compatible with Sony Playstation PSP Vita
Virtually indestructible film with unmatched "invisible" screen clarity
Made from the same film material used to protect military aircraft
Smooth, non-sticky surface with patented layer of UV protection to prevent "yellowing"
Manufacturer Lifetime Replacements

In the comments, it says it comes with some things like some solution, the cloth, and a smoothing tool. I can't get the Hori one for a decent price but this looks just as good.

And does anyone have the RSS feed to keep track of g35twinturbo's flip flops?

looks like a type of ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD. GOD this is hard to apply. You have to spray your fingers, spray the protector, do some weird moves, etc...
I failed three times...and threw it to garbage

Yup. That's why I try to get screen protectors for most things. I just suck at putting them on. I don't have any on my PSPs but that's okay because I don't touch the screen.

This is a touch device. My nails and jewelry would destroy the thing.
I'd rather replace a $5 - $10 piece of plastic than a $300 device because of scratches.

How prone are OLED screens to scratching? Personally I don't see the harm in buying one, but considering mine will rarely leave my house a screen protector isn't for me.

It's not really about whether it's OLED. It's that the screen is plastic.
Mine would rarely leave the house too. But yeah... nails, jewelry, etc.

And they definitely wreck visual quality and for touch screens like this just don't feel right. I'm pretty happy with my PowerSupport scree protector on my iPod Touch, As smooth as the real thing and has gotten fairly few scratches. AM considering removing it, but I figure it's better done when it's gotten enough little scratches as to be undesirable to keep.

Yeah, I was glad I did it for the DSi (only somehow I seem to forget to actually put on my replacement...), and regretted not doing so for the lite/PSP 2000, though I used the 2000 like a music player and the bigger problem ended up being the screen going screwy, condensation damage probably. Still, with how screens are getting better protection I'm worrying a bit less as time goes on. I'm more worried about the back panel for the Vita after the impressions I've heard.

You were supposed to also make a sacrifice while covered in blood.

Bad news for other people who were going to buy the digital version of Hakuoki (which comes out 1 day before the FEB) to play on their Vita, doesn't look like thats happening till the end of the month at earliest, shrug.

I'm hoping its one of those games that works on the Vita if you transfer it over from your PS3. Either way kind of pissed I traded in my PSP now :/

ATTENTION PURCHASERS OF THE SONY SCREEN PROTECTORS

You cannot use the second one for the back. I tried wasted it trying to do so. It's too big vertically and hangs off the edges of the touchpad.

Don't worry, in a few months to a year, hopefully you can buy another PSP for only slightly more than you traded it in for. .

Canada Vita peeps who got their systems early should definitely check out EB. They had men-cards, cradles, cases and other stuff.

Picked up my cradle preorder and a case for the game cards.

EB called and I picked up my 32GB memory card, my Sony screen protector pack and my copy of Wipeout 2048 today. It's strange having the accessories in my hand when I know the system (and several of the games) are still several days away, but I wanted to grab my memory card now in case there was a limited supply of the 32GB cards (like in Japan) and I wanted to see these cute new game packs for myself... gotta say, these game cases look great!

I'd be more excited but I'm in the middle of playing Metal Gear Acid!² on my PSPgo, and it's keeping me sufficiently distracted that I don't think much about it unless I'm on GAF...

How is the front protector? do you feel like you should have gotten one that cover the whole face plate? do you hit the edges of it a lot as you slide you fingers in game play?

I got $60 for a PSP I didn't really use much anymore. Had I known though that a bunch of games I own weren't going to work day 1 on my Vita though I probably would have kept it.

I just can't believe that they couldn't get a brand NEW psp game, one that comes out a day before the FEB Vita launches to actually be up that day, or at least when the regular unit launches. That is kind of absurd.

Damn, but I had my suspicions when taking a closer look at pictures, not to mention the shape of that silicone system cover that Hori has.

Those I understand less (usually) actually. While I understand them for iPhone 4's because probably 90% of the surface area is GLASS, and glass fronts on every other iOS device, for handhelds I feel like the comfort sacrifice is generally too much. System ends up feeling bulky or awkward instead, nevermind when they cover access to ports.

In a way, I'm kinda happy I don't get the Vita until the 15th. My wife would make sure it went away if I ignored her on Valentine's Day.
