I'd spent $250 to play Zelda HD. IE if I thought the Wii-U was going to flop, but launched with a kick-ass first party game.
Likewise, he may spend $250 to play Uncharted Vita, or a few other early planned games. Or maybe he's a collector of systems. Some of us will get new devices no matter what
True, I'm a collector of systems as well so I guess I can relate. Personally I believe that at this moment none of the Big three can flop that easily....well depends on the definition of flop. If any of them go out of business it'll be because they expected better sales, or maybe bad management, etc.
Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony already have such a large presence that there will always be a crowd that will buy their consoles.
Anyways, the Vita is a very well made console and has a solid launch lineup (one of the best I've seen actually), I believe it'll do well (Maybe not 3DS "well" but it'll survive)
Yep. Ours is cheap as pig shit though. You can get 500MB for about £5 (less than $8)

Any chance of vita being jail broken to accept any carriers sim cards? I'm sure I could do better then 3/gb for $30 if that were the case

I'm sorry to tell you about the framedrops, i'm just telling the truth. I also wanted to buy this game at launch. A good soccer game that is on par with the console version would be great!

It was posted up on HUKD and the general consensus was that it's fine - the risk is that, as it's a dude running the business out of a single room, if he goes bust you're screwed. It's based on the Three network, which I hope means good speeds (I get great speeds at work on my iPhone using Three).
I can vouch for the seller in so much as he got the SIM card to me really quick, but as of yet I can't vouch for the service. Thought it worth a go though at that price. Still going to pick up the first Vodafone £5 thing though so I can get WO for "free".
1. Sorry, but I hope not. I do hope that a FW unlocks the SIMs in the US though - maybe when the AT&T deal is expired?
2. Can't say for sure (I doubt anyone can), but I would imagine all it needs to send is a small amount of positional data so hopefully very little.

It does, just make sure to add it to your cart and buy it alone, meaning nothing else in your cart. The option doesn't show up if you try to buy like 3 things along with it.

It gave me a delivery estimate of February 24th (that was after I selected the option for 1-day shipping at $3.99). I'm a Prime member too.....huh....

Even after going into my orders and selecting change shipping speed, I do not see Release-day Delivery as an option either....

yeah looks like release-date delivery is gone for the 3G bundle
I wouldn't worry about that delivery estimate date though, I have an order with a bunch of games that since I couldn't change to release-date delivery Amazon Customer Service upgraded to one-day for free
the estimated delivery date is always two days post launch before shipping but all of them have shown up on launch day
I bought one, arrived fine. Haven't tested it though - will use it in a spare smartphone to use as a mobile hotspot. My vita is japanese so it won't work in that anyway
Probably already answered (I can't keep up with this thread) but the PAL units aren't carrier locked.
Noticed that last night. I placed a preorder on the same bundle before this change so it's still listed as having RDD.
Can anyone with a Vita comment on how easily scratched the screen and back is? I'm hearing that it's either scratch resistant or the easiest thing on the planet to get scratches which doesn't help a lot.

I know that video you linked. We discussed here a week ago. If you see the hand of the lady playing the game, you should notice that there is a slowdown on the thumb too. So that it appeared to be a problem related to the recording of the video.
Sadly you tried the demo and you saw the slowdowns. Sadly.

Did you try scratching the demo unit yourself? I've seen 3DS demo units that look terrible compared to my 3DS which is scratch free since launch, so I don't think the physical condition of demo units are indicative of normal use. If you tried scratching it yourself, however, I'd be interested in hearing how easily it scratched.
Don't know if this has been discussed, but I kept wondering about it. So I double dipped, and DL-ed it digitally (Even though I had it on UMD...) And it worked! Brilliant colors! The problem is that the right analog stick for camera works a bit strangely- you've got to hold the Left trigger and then move the right stick to adjust the camera. Still really happy I'll be playing this again! (Edit: In this sense, camera isn't completely altered- before it was L+Analog nub. Feels better with the Right stick, but no on the go moving/ camera switching).

Ordered the Pull N' Go Folio last Saturday and got it in on Tuesday. It was super quick but they do not send you an estimated ship date or notification when the item ships.

Still not sure if it's worth getting for $40 since I bought MvC3 and UMvC3 on consoles, making this my third copy of MvC3. Anyone know if the Vita version comes with the alternate costume?
