Randomed Huskar last game, and I swear the entire enemy team strategy was "Kill Husker"

They picked AA, Lion, Pudge, Juggernaut, and Drow. They sent all 5 people top lane to kill me, and left the other lanes alone. When team fights started, they tossed every good damn spell on me. Lion's Ult, both his stuns, AA's Stun, AA's Vortex, AA's Ult, Pudge's Hook, Pudge's Dismember, Jugg's Ult, and Drow just fired frost arrows. So even with 2500 HP and a Hood, they brought me down.

Then the other carries, standing 10 feet away, proceed to kill them all, being a 5/1 wipe. And they did that 3 or 4 times, after having a great early game and bring us down to just T3 towers.

"GG...but my team was trash".

always the best post-game comments.

yesterday a guy who said that was 1/10/2...as the lone carry. can't help but chuckle.

Huskar too stronk.

Oh, that reminds me, the one of the enemies last night went "You are all noobs, you don't deserve to win" after we were down to an exposed Ancient, and our team just barreled down bottom and destroyed the entire enemy base in 60 seconds (While I defended our base alone)

Played two MM games last night with Gaffers, both times we ended up against a team of all str/agi carries. First game we had a good team but didn't capitalize on early-mid game advantage. Second game we were ALL int with me as venom; they farmed three vanguards and pipe and we couldn't take them in teamfights. Both games we had early kill advantage as well.

Ahhh, lessons learned.

Batrider new favoritestest favorite hero. I like Batrider a lot.

The first time I played him yesterday it was fun.

The first game I did not see us winning at all but the second game we had a chance but we lacked a Pipe and Mek and considering we were all support with pushing power it was pretty bad and we deserved to lose for not getting the right items. We were getting towers for free and trying to engage in teamfights for kills was a waste of time better spent on taking all outer towers. Then you would have wanted to ward their half of the map and box them in.

The community for this game can be sooo bad, I think I will take a rest for some weeks. In my last game I killed someone as lich in a teamfight and naix raged that I was stealing from him and proceed to farm for the rest of the game. Our earthsaker fed all the game while badmouthing the rest of the team and threatened to go AFK if we didn't do what he wanted (which he did). Then the naix said that he would start feeding if we didn't do what he wanted... holy fuck, too much grief for a game. I hope that reports will have a more significant effect in the final game.

You truly have to play this game with your friends. You will get paired up with 13 year olds or people that act like 13 year olds.

If you play with a competent person that is easy going, friend them.

Whaaaat. Please tell me you guys took the towers in the other two lanes. And five heroes splitting XP in one lane? That seems like something that you ought punish heavily, just dip in and out of xp range (or self-pull every wave to collect XP and a little money) until your team knocks down some towers, then switch out to another lane and farmfarmfarmfarm. It'd be a sacrifice well worth making, I would think.

Eventually, I did in fact do that, when they all went mid instead. I went "Wait a second. If all 5 of them are here, and all 5 of us are here, and they will murder us in any team fight... Screw this, I'm farming bottom.

Then I farmed bottom, took out the tower, and just rotated around lanes killing creeps. A heart doesn't buy its self!

Just tried Juggernaut in a pub, pretty easy hero. That healing ward is really nice to have and saves a lot of health regen items. Got Yasha & Sange + Ag scepter at the end. Dat ult.

Magic immunity during blade furry and being invincible during Omnislash AND the healing ward. So much safety.

I thought we could have taken them in the first game. Their omni was being stupid and basically getting shanked all over the place; we were able to take them in fights for a while until they got too farmed. Also, our lion was new and was having game bug issues early; otherwise we would have had an even bigger advantage.

We were uncoordinated both games, that's a fact. Whatever, it was all good, other than the omni being a bitch everyone was generally being good tempered.

+1,000,000.

I've fallen in love with Sven, although rather stupidly it wasn't until the end of my last game that I realised the effectiveness of his ultimate. It will take me a while to relinquish my newbie status.

That bug was really frustrating me, I couldn't use a single ability until I reconnected. I was useless during the early game, I know the other team got a couple free kills because I couldn't stun.

I'm gonna practice some more with Tide today.

D2R Brawl is on if anyone wants to watch

Dota2Replays Stream

In the middle of the first game (I think? I'm not really watching) of the first semi-final between CLG and AL.
And I think Fire vs. mouz is coming up after that

Loving the matchup, carry Slardar and Mirana. They don't see use as such too frequently (though it's certainly getting trendy for the latter), fun to play with farm.

I had to afk for ~3 minutes at the start of a game, came back quickly and won with a 6-3-13 score, then it counts as an abandoned? That makes me real sad.

You get an automatic abandon if you afk for too long. Probably longer than 3 minutes though

May have been five, if it counts before the minions spawn. So ~4 afterwards. I know it wasn't any longer because I looked at the counter when I got back.

Finally got in a decent game as Juggernaut where I wasn't completely overrun. As someone brand new to the MOBA genre, I can finally see why it's so much fun. We lost the match in the end and I'm at 0-8 right now, but I'm starting to see the appeal/

Reading up on hero guides before matches and watching streams/Purge YouTube videos have helped me more than I can say.

I just want to make sure I'm not incorrect about this. The carries (Shadow Fiend for a specific example) should NEVER be buying wards when you have Heroes closer to the "support" category on your team like Earthshaker and Lich, right?!

I had this game where I was Shadow Fiend, and there was a Pudge going mid on the other team. I could not see him for shit. I couldn't even farm safely. He kept fucking killing me. He would grab Invisibility runes, and next thing I knew he was on top of me using Rot. I asked for wards constantly. I even asked Lich specifically for wards, and he wouldn't do it. I ended up saying "Fuck it, we'll do it live." and I bought the wards and placed them myself. It was too late by this time, but still, it had to be done. Meanwhile Bounty Hunter didn't have English as his first language and was calling everyone noobs, and even claiming that I "just fed Pudge the whole time." I COULDN'T FUCKING SEE HIM AND I NEED TO FARM JESUS FUCK.

Sorry, I'm a little angry.

Been playing some Earthshaker recently. I find he's a perfect example of how good an item Blink Dagger can be.

Without it, good luck ever getting off your ult. With it, prepare for the triple kills.

It's definitely a vital item on him, you can spring a decisive fight or turn one with a second of preparation. You'll definitely have need of it before then however, it's something anyone who plays ES should strive to work on. One good Fissure to hem the enemy team in and a mad dash can be all it takes to land a great ultimate.

You're right, but you can never trust pub supports with buying wards :p

And I'd say that heroes like sf or sniper shouldn't get picked if you're against pudge. So wait before picking something like that until you know that they wont go him. Sure, wards will help, but you'll still probably die a lot unless the pudge doesn't know what he's doing. But maybe you randomed and got unlucky.

Edit: we need more for neogaf IH

If your supports are poor, buy wards and throw them on the courier for them, The 200g it costs you to buy them will take you like 30 seconds to make back. The whole "NEVER" thing is a bit strong.

The thing was, Lich was walking around with ~700 gold most of the time.....

In a game where a dedicated support can't be bothered to buy regular wards, let alone sentries, it may be a safe guess that the team opposite won't be bothered to either (no opportunities to counterward and all that).

I just ward all the usual basic places, since I don't think I've ever seen any of my wards being counter-warded ever. All in pubs of course.

Never really counter-ward either unless I'm really sure. Since 9 out of 10 times they either don't have wards anyway.
