These informative GT people are schooling GiantBomb when it comes to not acting like the last thing you want to do in your life is play videogames.

They did kind of suggest though that the 512mb of system memory can be used for storage when the should surely know that it can't.

I can't help but think that as an enthusiastic consumer I know more about the Vita than most of the journalists writing up articles about it.

Incidentally, Sony's insistence on AT&T not locking Vita customers into contracts for 3G service has got to be the stumbling block that derailed a similar deal for Rogers in Canada. Rogers LOVES their contracts.

Nah, I'd just pin it on Sony Computer Entertainment Canada being Useless. You don't need contracts for iPads.

And they're also listing all the negatives about the Vita, most of its games, and telling people to not buy 50 dollars games or a 3G Vita. So whether you say it with a smile or a sneer, it's the same message. I thought the GB stream was much better than this since it included much more footage. GT guys are also telling people complete bullshit misinformation about the Vita. I'll take GB.

Amazon is really throwing everything but the kitchen sink into the Wi-Fi/3G bundle.

I was just gonna day 1 it at a random brick & mortar store, but I'll take a free screen protector.

I'll pile on with the GB a bit, but it's mainly focused on Patrick Klepek. Terrible voice, know-it-all attitude during quick looks and he just comes off like he knows he's better than you. I hate his guts and I am not afraid to admit it.

True on both accounts, but the GB stream made me physically depressed.

His blank stare into the abyss (camera) during the entire 4 hour stream was epic. I think he grimaced once.

So basically GT just told everyone that Uncharted works without a memory card because of on-board memory on the Vita that you can use to store your saves. Yeah, these guys are much much better than Giant Bomb.

I think it just goes to show how much of a difference attitude can make. You can say negative things about something without being a downer. Like, just smiling and joking or whatever while you say negative things is enough to really lighten up the mood.

Anyone can feel anything about whatever they want. I just appreciate it when people don't act like it's a chore to be there while they do it.

They appear to be completely clueless about the Vita. The reason Uncharted worked and saved for them is because the Vita they have was shipped with the 4gig card installed already. But they told their viewers they had no memory installed, and then went on to say that there's half a gig of on-board memory that you can use for saves "like the Wii".

Wait, what? Amazon is giving away a free screen protector with the 3g bundle?

Yeah.

Free screen protector? Not showing for me

That's odd.

I really don't understand how people can be mean on the Internet. The whole point is you don't have to care, and can click elsewhere.

Hating someone is one thing. Making Internet posts about how much they hate another human being they never met tells me a lot about a persons character.

So dumb. Wow. How can they be so clueless? I mean, they should know a memory card is required cause THE BOX SAYS SO ON THE COVER

GT guys seemed to think that they had no memory card in the Vita and were saying that the 512mb on board wasn't much but that it would do.

I pity anyone watching who doesn't know that they can't use system memory.
however at least they didn't look like someone had nailed them to the desk and made them play with the Vita like GB.

I dont care about attitude, I care about footage and info. GB didn't tell any out-right lies or spread any misinformation. When they didnt know something, they said they dont know. GT is quite literally making shit up. If you're new to the Vita and you just watched this GT stream, you would think that you dont have to buy a memory card at all. Imagine how happy you'd be once the Vita and Uncharted arrived and you couldnt even start it.

To be fair, GB was live for about five times the amount GT was

Can someone tell them that on the bottom of the handheld is a door that holds a memory card. Open it and push and a card I guarantee you will come out. This is included in FEB and Demo units and probably even press kits.

I'll second that...none of the GB team looked like they had any interest in doing that stream. It was painful to watch.

Well, to be fair, there really aren't alot of amazing launch titles in terms of something new. Almost everything at launch is an existing franchise or port.

How excited can someone be about another Modnation, Uncarted, Wipeout, or HS Golf?

I love the system, but honestly can understand why the launch software could be underwhelming to some.

Lol @ the cradle not having a cord to plug into the wall. It doesnt really matter to me but a large reason to buy it is to charge the PSV. I guess they expect you to use the cord given with the vita.

It's not like GB never makes mistakes or spreads misinformation.
But I'm not talking about that.
I just mean which is more pleasant to watch. I already have all the information I need, so I didn't watch either stream to learn things.

Anyway, I don't want to argue. I just wanted to note why some people prefer the GT stream even if what they said was as negative as GB.

To be fair, GB was live for about five times the amount GT was

Fair point.

I keep forgetting about Sumioni. Yoshida mentioned it in that video, and it looks awesome. Think of a cross between the original NES Ninja Gaiden and Kirby's Canvas Curse. With the art style of Okami. It's the team who made the "Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!" games.

This game looks good but I'm not feeling all the touch gimmickry :(

Not sure what you expected GB to do. None of the games are great, and that was also reflected in the GT stream. GB was just more open about how lackluster the majority of the games are. When the games were really good (Lumines, Rayman etc) they said so. A lot of the attitude I saw Jeff giving seemed to be due to Vinny yapping in his ear. Given the relatively low average review scores for most games, I'm not sure any site could host a 5 hour stream and sound all that thrilled to be playing a lot of these games for that long.

Jeff was playing, the other two guys were just giving dead, depressed stares into the distance.

I think you are overreacting when you say none of the games are great. This is a system launch. Keep perspective. I'd be excited to see stuff like Super Stardust, UMVsC, RayMan, Wipeout, ...

Relatively low average review scores?

What.

For a site like GB, if they're not interested in showcasing the Vita for a few hours... then just don't do it.

They choose to just "not do" a bunch of other things. It's like they just felt obligated to do something because it's a hardware launch. But it's not fun for anyone if you're not going to be into it. Throughout the entire thing, people were just saying how boring it was or whatever.

GB is fine when they're doing stuff they actually want to do. Like the Kinect stream. That was really fun and really interesting, even if I have 0 interest in the Kinect. Attitude really makes a difference.

But whatever. I'll concede and say GB is the bestest thing ever and nothing they do is ever wrong and no one can possibly enjoy another stream better than their stuff because!

Also, there are a good games. Go look at what the games average for other hardware launches. And the review embargos aren't even up for all the games yet.

reducing the price for digital version is such a good idea from a business perspective i simply cannot understand why others do not follow this precedence.

#1 you keep copies from landing in the used game bin essentially suffocating the used game market
#2 cut out the middle man (if you're first party) and make a larger profit because you arent giving a cut to the retailer
#3 save money and the environment by not producing worthless cases and reducing greenhouse gases because there is no freighting of these goods
#4 extremely convenient for gamers and actually a lower barrier of entry since all you need is a wifi connection and a money card to buy a game.

I am actually attracted to the game because of touch gimmicks, but I'm not feeling the full retail release. Game should be a download title at no more than $15. If Shank, Outland, Rochard, Journey and more can do it on PSN for that much so can Sumioni.

The other guys were watching the stream on a monitor. They weren't staring blankly into space. They were watching what you were watching. And yeah, low scores. The hottest title for Vita (Uncharted) is averaging in the 70s. The consensus best launch game appear to be Stardust, and that's averaging around 82. Granted those arent bad scores, but when they're the best and you also have to demo a bunch of games that are averaging in the 50s, it might not be all that much fun. They definitely seemed pleased to be playing Lumines and Rayman though. Patrick even went so far as to dismiss the lack of multiplayer and say it was worth it just for single player. I think some of you are being too hard on them simply because they didn't felate the Vita, which it doesn't sound like it's worthy of right now anyway.

I saw no problems with the GB stream. I watched for game footage and I got what I wanted.

I was there for footage too, but doesn't it annoy you at all when you're watching game footage with commentary from someone who lacks any personality or enthusiasm whatsoever? (I know Jeff has personality, but he definitely didn't show any at all during any point in the stream, nor did his co-hosts).

Yea I just figured it was a downloadable title. Will wait for $20 bomba price

Just got my case which I ordered from ebay two weeks ago. I wanted a case just like in the FEB, but I didnt want to pay the extra $50, so I looked on ebay and I found this.

The case itself looks great and looks like an official case. Too bad I dont have a vita to place in there yet D:

For 9 bucks (Got it for $3 due to expiring ebay bucks), I recommend it completely.
