Did you guys notice that Xbox Live is snitching about the demo? Maybe I haven't been online in a while but I never got demo notices from friends. In the middle of me playing the demo it said " so and so started to play ME3 demo" .

It does that with every game now.

Did Wrex's voice sound weird to anyone else?

Like the "krogan filter" was changed. When he talked to you over the radio he sounded almost entirely different.

This demo really put me off the game. The movement of shepard feels clunky and difficult and the graphics seem to be a downgrade from mass effect 2 which had great visuals IMO....maybe it is because it is a demo and possibly an older build of the game (which they since have improved upon).I need to see some reviews before deciding to buy or not.Mass effect 2 was a great game I hope this game will be just as good...but like I said the demo has put me off.

Apparently the game messed up, that was 'wreav' the fellow in ME2 that is present if wrex died.

To be fair, you can't import a save into the demo.

Now I'm going to do a run in ME2 where everyone dies.

It's okay, they died and then get better like Shepard in ME3. I'm calling it right now.

Oh, stop being a snob. I "comprehend" the thing just fine.

It was literally your words. "I don't understand." I'm not making things up to attack you. But I will grant you your opinion without further argument, as long as you understand that your implication that the Mako controlled fine and the physcis weren't unpredictable are certified facts are also opinions.

Someone mentioned that was actually a glitch and that's Wreav, but I haven't seen anyone confirm it.

Found the dl lol.

How is the Kinect stuff for you 360 cats?

Actually really good to me. Combat options anyway, you're able to say EVERYTHING from opening doors to actual dialog choices, which I would never use.

First half of the demo looked worse than ME2 to me. Maybe that was just due to the more open environment though. Second half was definitely better, a noticeable improvement in lighting.

I can't seem to connect tp Origin on the 360 version. I think something is wrong with my 360 or my account because It gives me an error with Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning also.

Interesting.

I feel like it would be really useful in coop as I'm assuming you cant pause the game when your selection wheels is open, so you can just speak your commands and weapon changes and never miss a beat.

I really hate to say this, but does Mass Effect 2 look better than ME3 to anyone else? Some scenes were also kind of flickery. And Shepard walks too slow and floaty, show me some camera tricks to trick my eye into thinking I'm carrying 60lbs of gear.

Also a nitpick, I don't like the static crosshair cursor when you're not zooming in your weapon.

No.
Go and play ME2 without mods and see it for yourself.
The jaggies in ME2, and even worse texture resolution and animation is the stuff of nightmares after playing ME3 demo.
Im doing now a playthrough in ME2 for my perfect save, and if it were not for the high resolution textures in your companions that I added with mods I would have shot myself already. The ME3 clothes textures are not brilliant, but I can tell you that ME2 were worse.

I've never understood the criticism of Mako. It was a tank, and it controlled like a tank. It controls better than a tank, actually, considering it can practically go up vertical hills and you can thrash around the planet with no regard for damage done to the thing. It was never meant to be a hovercraft that's super-easy and super-fast to drive.
Console player here, and I thought the Mako itself was decent, sicknasty stunts and all.

The planets are what killed it.

I think this is a fairly old demo too judging by the content.

So this event would probably play the exact same way even if the characters involved are dead. I wonder to what extent will some events (or even the story) will change if there are characters missing. Probably not much.

So, now that I have played through the demo, how do I unlock the stuff for ME3 and Amalur ? I didn't get any message at the end like Amalur's demo.

Edit : I started Amalur and got a quest prompt after a few seconds saying I had a new special delivery. So, the item is unlocked automatically after all.

Maybe there is "Maurdin" instead of Mordin lol

The thing is though that I bet that Liara and Garrus are option members that you can bring along while Wrex is probably mandatory. Which is why it doesn't make sense not to let you bring Wrex with you.

There might be more to that mission that has Wrex with you.

Just played through it and I have to say there was very little I liked about it.

I'm going to wait until the full game until I judge completely obviously, but there are many aspects of the demo which, if continued throughout the game, could make this a very disappointing game. I'm more worried than I was before.

I don't think we'll ever get a worthy sequel to the first game :'(

No bald cap? Lies!
BTW guys, maybe some of you havent used the config.exe in the binaries folder of the demo?
Thats why maybe you are saying ME2 looks better than ME3.

Thats what I keep wondering, generally speaking BioWare games dont always offer the same amount of video options in game as they do in the config.exe which is why they always have a link to it in the launch window.

Yeah, it had little to do with the vehicle and everything to do with the gameplay you engage in using the vehicle. Still, I can understand people complaining about how it handled, even if it didn't bother me.

Am I the only one that was bothered by this huge inconsistency in character?

Mission 2:
You get on the salarian world and Wrex is pumped up and ready to wreck shit.
Poor Wrex has to stay in the ship though. No biggie, you're gonna save the SUPER RARE Krogan female yourself. You're Commander Shepard. You can do this.

Then finally, nearing the end of your long mission against dozens of Cerberus agents, the female is nearly freed, a friggin mech drops from the sky, ready to blow up the Krogan.

Wrex calls you on intercom and what does this steroid monster say? "Sorry bro, landing zone is too hot. Please save my weifu kk?" I expected him to crash that goddam space taxi inside the face of that Cerberus guy.
Wrex wouldn't just orbit around and wait for me to save her.

Umm we already got it.

It was called Mass Effect 2.

I found the combat in Mass Effect 2 something to make me wait until I can get to the parts that I want to play. I would love it for them to either make the combat optional or just so damn easy that I can get back the story and dialogue parts. I just finished mass effect 2 this week because of the fatigue I felt fighting stupid, bullet sponge enemies.

So for someone like me will I enjoy the ME3 or is the combat just as boring?

Play story only mode. Combat will be simplified.

ME3 actually has a mode exactly like that, where the combat is basically optional.

I liked the demo but had my gripes. The intro was well done but alot of the dialogue was out of my hands. The second part was nice as well, the combat has come a long way. The music was fantastic throughout the whole demo. Not much else to say beside the obvious focus on combat over role playing, but its hard to tell with this kind of demo.

Ugh, didn't like the demo... the cover system seems weird now, Shep is rolling everywhere. I think it's the level layout, there are way too many things that causes Shep to go into cover mode... or switching cover areas. I don't know, it just felt really clunky. I liked ME2 combat, and it just felt really off in the ME3 demo.

I like the new metal surface effect. Everything else seems eh, ME2 may look slightly better also it's a demo so maybe there's more. Another thing could be they scaled back on graphics because of huge background monsters and such.

That first section looked bad, it's a good thing there was a second segment because I thought they gave me story when I picked rpg.
