While the visual quality took a hefty dip this episode, that didn't get in the way of all the fun I had with this episode. Everything was still really enjoyable, they made me like Ayane marginally, and the lines and humor were all still enjoyable for me this episode
I hope though, that the end stuff will be much better than this on a visual level.

Need an anime that has: dark side to the protagonist, feels his methods are absolute. Thought provoking and psychological, with really well intelligent out-smarting of their "enemies".

No, it's worse than Ponyo. Nothing happens during the credits of Ponyo, you can just leave. Arrietty has an actual scene going on during the credits, one that is completely and utterly ruined by their crimes against humanity.
