So how does the free 3g SSD redemption work? Do you get it as soon as you activate? And the free month qualifies as activating?

You get it at the end of your first 30 days of 3G, which you have to pay $15 for. So in the end you are out $15 for 2 months of 3G and SSD after the first 30 days.
no you get it 30 days later i think. once you sign up there is a page on the att website where you can get another data plan. it has options for payment (credit card etc) and on that page there will be an option that shows you have earned a promotion credit. you can use this to buy your second month for free.

I regret not buying one so much.
I bought the 16GB on impulse at first, then got excited and opened the package so I can't return it.
Save that straw man for someone else. I didn't say Apple invented everything. Considering most people have some type of iOS device, it was the most effective way to communicate the idea.
Tons of DD Vita and PSP stuff? I'm on a 16 GB but only used about 1 GB for Lumines and SSD. I may get a 32 GB later on but at the moment it would be overkill for my needs (just downloading Vita stuff since I still have a PSP and tons of UMDs).
Have fun! I'm a little curious about Uncharted myself, since I've never played any of the UCs on the PS3. $50 still seems a lot for it, and it reportedly not having the huge set pieces that UC is famous for is dissuading me from picking it up as my entry into the series.

Just got done with a play through of uncharted, what a great game. All the vita touch stuff works flawlessly (don't think I ever had so much fun with a sniper rifle in my life). I hope more games of this quality make it out soon.

Oh wow, you sure? My bad. I looked at it twice on the store. On time I passed and it was something like 7.49 or 7.99, and then it went on super-sale for 3.49 and I nabbed it. I figured it would be that price if the real price was $15.
I was wondering this myself. From first look I feel like the pouch might be too short but I'd definitely like to hear from someone who has both at the moment.
How are people setting the left analog to camera movement for old psp games. Foe example for peace walker. I can get to the setting screen but how to configure each button.

Oh, and my UK preorder on Play.com hasn't let me select what type of delivery I want, is that normal? It currently just says preordered and 3-5 days delivery...what does that even mean? I live in the UK, but never used Play before.

Nope, its ANOTHER proprietary cable.
Fortunately, it does come packed in with the Vita and powerbrick.

Vita is 7.2 inches length and 3.3 inches in width. I doubt the height should matter at all considering the vita is thinner than the DS.
EDIT: had to fix height and width.

That would be 7.17 x 3.29 inches so yes, theoretically it should fit.

Most of Play's stuff comes from Jersey. 3 to 5 days is usually a fair estimate, so I expect you'll have the Vita console in your hands by the end of the week. Could be release day, but don't bet the house on it.

This is lame. I can't purchase games from the vita for some reason. I called support and all they said was that maybe the U.S. store was having issues today, but they weren't sure. I tried adding money via the playstation website and that isn't working for me either. Is anyone else having this issue?

DJ Max 3 impression on Vita please? I saw that some people purchased it. Played with a demo unit yesterday to see how the buttons felt so I think it should play fine. Just want some re assurance 
Hey GAF, has anyone bought the Skinomi DryTech or the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield full body screen protectors or just the screen protector from the same company? Are any of those easy to apply as the hori one? (stupid proof)
IIRC the 8-4 guys specifically talked about charging the Vita when it was turned on. So yes it can be via the normal charger.

That's quite annoying, I only went with them for a bit of cash-back via Quidco, and the preorder pack £5 voucher which Amazon don't supply. They are both the same price, but Amazon is likely to get it to me on the 21-22, Play will get it to me 23-27. Oh well, I waited all this time, a few more days wont hurt..........yeah right, AGONY!

While there are areas in Golden Abyss that are more impressive than anything seen in Uncharted 1, Uncharted 1 still had some phenomenal texture work and puts Golden Abyss to shame in that department. Overall, I'd give Uncharted 1 the slight edge.
It's a very nice plastic. Sadly not a very nice glass. (though way better than anything previously seen on a handheld system)
