I think you could make a pretty good argument that this is fraud, because you are basically trying to get out of paying for return shipping by marking the games as defective (when you are going to return brand new unopened copies).

Let your conscience be your guide, I guess.

Kind of a gray area since Amazon themselves are even saying return the opened games to get the deal instead of just giving it to you outright.

So what's up with Sound Shapes and Gravity Daze in the US? These are the two games I want most and it seems like some are privy to some sort of top secret info regarding one or the other...

It is two portables, actually, not two devices.

Amazon pays for the shipping I thought?

Staggered releases. I had a feeling Sony would be holding onto Sound Shapes for a bit when I talked to the producer last year who told me it would be up to Sony, and not them as to when it would see release.

The EU version wasn't rumored to be DD only, it was confirmed as such. Both Yoshida, and the EU Blog team said so.

It was worded in a way that made it sound like a physical release was coming afterwards.

Interesting... I'll have to find out tomorrow if the date is the DD, both, or for the physical release later... as I wasn't exactly clear when I asked about the possibility of a physical release.

Little rough spots aside, I. CAN'T. STOP. PLAYING. MY. VITA.

It would be the greatest shame in the history of gaming if this handheld does not succeed. I really hope developers hop on board and stick with the Vita. It's not perfect, but it's amazing and I've been glued to the device for the past few days. And this launch software. The second wave of games has me giddy, and I don't even know what they are yet.

At this year's E3, aside from the Wii U, I think the Vita lineup has me most interested.

Gotcha. I was a bit nervous for a second with all sorts of (probably justified) paranoia regarding the general state of "different" or "risky" games in general and in the US in particular. These are the two games that are going to tip the scales and make me buy a Vita.

You can return the games without fraudulently marking them as defective, but you'll have to pay for return shipping.

The theory behind it is if there is an issue on Amazon's part, you don't have to pay for shipping. I think if Amazon themselves is telling you to ship them back to get the deal instead of giving you the deal upfront, that is more an error on their part IMO. It would be way easier on all parties if they just gave it to you. But like I said, I think it's a gray area since Amazon tells you to do it. Normally, ?I'd say you're right in a general case, but this is different.

Amazon pays for the shipping I thought?

It depends on the reason you select for the return. General rule of thumb is if it's an issue from Amazon's side, Amazon won't charge you for the return shipping. If you simply return an item just out of the blue for no reason, then you will get charged.

Games that require memory card will save on the memory card.

Games that don't say it (example is FIFA) will save on the Vita card.

I got a physical copy of Uncharted and the saves are on my mem card, if I was to trade the game in and purchase a digital copy later on would the saves be compatible?

The save system is weird as shit and I don't get why it has to be this way, one of the only annoying things about Vita for me right now.

Some new Stardrone details/screens came up a few days ago, don't remember seeing them posted!

If it's a repeat of last year's I'm going to be terrified.

Talking about their software convergence bullshit, showing new footage of Killzone Vita, bunch of bad third party game announcements nobody cares about. Conference ends with a guy dressed in a Vita costume break dancing for 45 minutes.

Are you sure? They removed active downloads from 5 to 2, so, when PS1 games get compatible with Vita, I won't be able to buy FFVII once and put it on the PS3, PSP, and Vita. AFAIK, you'll only be able to download the file on 2 active devices.

This year's E3 should definitely be interesting in terms of Vita announcements.

Why? There's nothing pointing to that. At all. Epic actually said they have no games in development for Vita, for example. I would actually be happy just to see COD, Killzone, Bioshock, and AssCreed gameplay.

Soooo I just got a completely free game from Amazon.

I bought Wipeout last week and already received it. So I decided to talk to a rep through chat and see if I can buy another game and get the third for free (assuming that Wipeout would count as one of the 2 for the B2G1). Well, turns out the lady helping me messed up and credited me with a game without me having to buy one first. I got FIFA for free, so essentially I got a B1G1 deal from Amazon just because I chatted with them. I feel guilty so I'll be buying MvC3 to make it a legit deal.

Hmm I have no idea.

Let me rephrase that then:

You could have stacked on the promo and get another game free if you wanted to. Haha, insane. B1G2 free essentially. Good on you though.

The screens always looked festive and visually impressive, but the demo was ok. It didn't dazzle me as I was expecting, and the effects look surprisingly restrained for a game of this nature.

Maybe it goes batshit crazy later on. Who knows.

This year's E3 should definitely be interesting in terms of Vita announcements.

I expect a full third party Vita blowout at E3 only because Sony pretty much have to to shut up the doom and gloomers (well, at least some of them).

edit: If this E3 is just a repeat of last year (bunch of logos; nothing else), then I think it's safe to say the Vita is f*cked.

That's so on the nose, it's funny and sad at the same time.

....my rep told me no go on making my wipeout purchase count towards the deal in anyway . why is life so unfair ;;

grats to you.

I'm hoping for original experiences. The whole reason I set my PSP aside is that there weren't enough original IPs or original takes on existing IPs. The Vita has so many control methods, and I want to see them used to take gaming to new places rather than just shoehorning console games onto a handheld again.

Anyone else feel that Sony should have had someone other than "Bill from accounting" do the artwork for the Hot Shots Golf cartridge?

I think the art on all those cards is pretty poor, but at least the other ones use a proper logo. By the way, Tinypic are banned since they replace old images after a while. I suggest you use Imgur.com or Minus.com. They're both pretty great.

Edit: Oh, you already rehosted it. Never mind then.

Well thanks to the Amazon deal and credit card (which I have no intention of actually making a purchase on but nets a $50 gift card) I can either get 3 games for $39.95 or the 32GB for $50. I really like having the capacity to hold all the games digitally thanks to my time with custom firmware on PSP but 3 games for $40 is pretty darned hard to pass up. Then again $179.95 (32 Gigs and 3 games) vs $39.95 has sold me. Oh well no DD for me.

A heads-up for those with the FEB case: it will scratch the top of your system (card door covers) if you aren't careful when placing or removing the device from the case.

Hopefully my copy of Everybody's Golf (UK Version) will have a better label.

But anyway. who gives a shit - it's a label, which will be inbedded in the Vita whilst playing.

Why on earth would anyone use that font? It's like Arial Black or something... like the most common POS typeface on the planet aside from Comic Sans.

Yeah, and it doesn't reflect the game's kooky style either. It's very serious and looks like it would be some sort of golf simulator based on the "all business no fun" look.
