Poking around on their website, it says that Order placed= item OUT OF STOCK!Wouldn't be surprised if you still got it on wednesday. They'll probably send it via courier to ensure delivery on release.

Someone over on the Eurogamer forum had similar concerns, and sent Play an email inquiring about the delivery situation. Here was the reply he got...
So no worries, you should be fine. I've got a pre-order with Play too, so I hope they keep to their word. I need mah Wi-Fi, 8GB card, Golden Abyss and pre-order pack on Wednesday or there will be blood.
Lol Who knows. They can prolly churn it out pretty quickly.

So I tried my luck with Amazon on getting in on the promotion.
I ordered Uncharted, Hot Shots, and Wipeout last week. The rep said because my order was placed before the promotion started I was not eligible and was told to hang on while they did some research. They came back and told me they'd issue a refund on Hot Shots Golf which would show up in 2-3 days.
So it worked out for me. Just gotta get lucky.

Well when I signed up there was an Ad for the Amazon Rewards card. I just applied for it knowing that I have good credit and got a $50 gift card for my efforts even though I have no intention of ever using it: it might not be advertised to everyone but the offer only showed up after I added the three games to my cart.

Yeah, it's all up to luck as I was told no as well. And I've been a Prime member for a year and a half or so, but it's because of the Student program.
But my copy of Rayman Origins and my Starter Kit has shipped and will apparently get here tomorrow even though the 2 day shipping estimate should have made it Wednesday with my Wi-Fi Vita.
WHY DO I GET STUFF EARLY THIS ONE TIME I WISH I WOULDN'T AMAZON, WHY?
aw crap! not that I use mine since it smells like burned tires. as happy as I am for having gotten the Vita a week early, the includes stuff - case, game and memory are all just throw away shit!

Order placed means precisely that, that you placed an order, they only just got their stock allocation today, I can't imagine they have sold them all already, they are posting tomorrow using DPD so should get here for launch.
It's that black ring around the inside of the case. It's hard material, and when you set the system in the case, it can easy slide in while rubbing that ring. I should know, I'm a victim.

Just finished Uncharted: GA and I loved it. I might get flack for this but I honestly think its better than UC3.
Pro aiming tip: Before you hit the L Trigger to go into aim mode, position your camera towards that enemy, if you then hit the L Trigger you'll notice the reticle is always automatically on the enemy. So what I would do is position camera on an enemy -> L Trigger -> kill enemy -> then release L Trigger and do it all over again. With this you barely ever have to use the right thumbstick to aim.

Same boat, here. I got WipEout and Lumines...and...about six PSP games? I completely missed the PSP generation of portable gaming, this stuff rocks.

Well I have cancelled now anyways. As their own website changed from Preorder straight to Order placed(which in their own help section says that it means out of stock) and that change happened 4 hours ago for me, and they didnt bother to caontact me, so I was already annoyed with them, so I think I will be better off sticking with Amazon, much less faffing about!

Bragged about it in the other thread, but I emailed them about missing out on the promo and the rep refunded me $50 for Uncharted GA. So awesome, and now I get to pick out a new game. I'll probably go with Lumines since I love puzzle games.

I went up to my local Target, and spoke to the Electronics Manager. He was in the process of putting up the Vita display, so I asked him when their games would be available. He said the only games they were receiving was Ninja Gaiden and Fifa. I asked him if they would do a raincheck on future titles since they did not have any games out for launch, even though their ad says B2G1F. He said they cannot do that.
I went to Best Buy and asked the sales associate in their games section. He said they would match Target's ad w/ no problem, and that they have been instructed to, since they also heard that Target most likely will not have a large selection for launch.

Its fairly balanced. When you have to fight heavy gunners there are always sniper rifles (which do crazy dmg) or grenades. If you can, always take the sniper rifle with you. It one shots every enemy except the heavy gunner who takes around 3.
I think I died one time to actual enemy combat. I mostly died from falling during navigation puzzles.
Also stealth kills seem more satisfying...I think become of the touch interface =P

Yeah thats my only must with the exception of Wipeout that I bought on amazon for 30 before the deals started. If it was availible in those deals I could justify a couple of the ones im on the edge with, but as it is no sale. I might check out best buy tomorrow or wednesday just in case though since they are matching as well. Worst comes to worst I get my first opertuinty to check out how the download system works for vita games.

I checked the best buy in santa clarita, and the best they can do is $35 for the PSP.

From what I've played thus far I'd say its defiantly worthy of the Uncharted name. I mean, besides the occasional clumsy touch screen antic the game plays identical to previous Uncharted games. The story and characters all retain that classic Uncharted feel, which is great for anyone who's a fan of the series. Oh and the graphics, oh the graphics, jaggies and lower res textures aside at some points in the game you wold think that this was a full fledged PS3 game.

Cant wait till wednesday! I hadn't been following Uncharted: Golden Abyss until today... But is there really no multiplayer? Since I have never played an Uncharted game, I will still buy it but still a bit disappointed.

After all that, my Amazon order is now saying preparing for dispatch!
Should get it on the 23rd, and since my screen protector doesnt arrive till then, I wouldnt be taking the Vita out of its box before then anyways.
Still, that was a very annoying few minutes!
Shit, so I'm getting my Vita from Toys R Us. What deals am I getting from them? Sounds like I'll get a $20 gift card, but the guy at Toys R Us was telling me I got some additional rewards for large purchases if I was a rewards member which I now am.

They had Katmari but not VT. Some of the games (like NG which they had a space for) are not on sale till the 22nd though
