they had this deal where you could watch a bunch of "Videoz" there and rack up "PTZ" which I did and was able to actually get the 3G bundle for $239.99 myself. That said, it's still yet to ship... but yeah.

How many minutes worth of video are we talking about? or can you just click on videos and exit.

I'm really pissed by that Amazon deal.

I just ordered Rayman and Wipeout a few days ago, but I would have gladly held off and ordered them today if I had known about that deal.

I've had my eye on a few of the games on that list, and I'd have snagged them in an instant. I wrote Amazon to see if anything can be done about that. I used some trade in credit to order Rayman and wipEout, so I don't want to rearrange/cancel my order in case it messes up somehow.

Hopefully Amazon can address this for me. I kind of feel duped. Being encouraged to pre-order games so you don't get shafted, then they end up doing a sale like this. It'd be different if I had pre-ordered those games a long time ago, but I literally just pulled the trigger on them a few days ago. I could have waited, but didn't think there'd be any kind of deals this soon/before launch. *annoyed face*

I have the wi-fi unit preordered, but am considering the 3G just for the memory card. However, is 8GB really going to be "good enough?" I'm really not sure what to expect, memory wise.

I like collecting physical media/games. So for my PSP 8Gb was good enough, i figured it's a good starter for me on my vita. Though if you feel like you're just gonna go mostly digital with all your game purchases I'd save up and go for the 32gb card. It'll help you in the long run cuz you know giants like S-E and such will dish out huge data loads for game releases.

I bought Marvel twice and BlazBlue (once) from the Amazon B2G1F. Don't want Marvel at all, but got one copy for a friend as the only other launch game I'd want is Virtua Tennis, at least until Gravity Daze comes out. Most of what interests me is on the PSN Store, so I think I'm going to sell the other Marvel copy (or trade it).

Hmm I'm tempted to cancel my 3G bundle and go wifi since it has a free card now. I'll just leave it alone since I want it on Wednesday and the resale value is better with 3G and 8gb :P

Just re-preordered my Vita Wi-Fi on Amazon, they are giving free 4GB memory card if you add both to your cart. Now have 2 memory cards (4GB + 8GB)

I just did this too. I canceled my preorder from around E3 last year, felt weird. But now I'm getting a free 4GB on top of my 16 I already have.

I think the easiest way to do it is to just play the music videos in a new tab on mute and check on it every five minutes to load a new one.

You'll probably need a wait a few extra days if you buy from Lockerz since their shipping is not very consistant. I saw that a Gaffer got their copy of Uncharted from them last week whereas my copy didn't ship out until today. :/

Are you sure? They removed active downloads from 5 to 2, so, when PS1 games get compatible with Vita, I won't be able to buy FFVII once and put it on the PS3, PSP, and Vita. AFAIK, you'll only be able to download the file on 2 active devices.

Yes, I'm sure.

You will be able to have FF7 on your PS3 (up to 2 PS3s) and your Vita/PSP (up to 2 portables) at the same time.

Ah, then i will stick with Amazon. I want my vita on time or i might just.............

Just finished Uncharted: GA and I loved it. I might get flack for this but I honestly think its better than UC3.

Big fan of Uncharted and am dumbfounded with how much flack the series gets on forums and other sites. Definitely looking forward to GA but don't know if it can top UC3.....the shipyard and ship scene were easily the most impressive things I saw all year and perhaps this gen on consoles.

I want games like Gravity Rush AND small scale DD games like Retro City Rampage. Variety is the spice of life. Hopefully the Vita can deliver on both ends.

Truer words have never been spoken. I love the PSN DD games and that avenue is perhaps the most intriguing for me when it comes to the Vita. Imagine a game like Outland or Journey on the Vita. Plus it is a great thing to see this wide array of price ranges.

My Vita didn't ship today. So long as it gets here for Wednesday it is fine, although I would have liked to give it a go early. Only one day left to go!

Edit: I realised today how my Vita would have come in perfect use. I got the train back to Uni but with delays and what not I had to try and find new times out while n the train. Since my phone doesn't have a data plan the 3G on the Vita would have come in handy as would the maps function to help me find the next train station. Alas it was two days too early :(

Okay, so bottom line is there's no "big" reason to get this yet, it seems?

Golden Abyss's getting compared to the first Unch (which wasn't that great) a lot and apart from that it's a bit of a dry spell, for now, correct?

Although Stardust is looking juicy as ever... hmmm.

Dry spell? There's something like 30+ games covering every genre. There MUST be something that appeals to you at launch?

Gravity Rush will likely be one of the best games of the year.

Well this sucks. I wanted to take OS level screenshots of PSP games running but I get a message saying I can't.

Too bad. I would've posted shots of Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Peace Walker :(

The *one* thing I don't like is that you can't go to the browser while playing a PSP game. For stuff like Persona 2: Innocent Sin, it's super useful as I could have a contact faq running while I'm playing, but it closes the game when I switch to the browser.

Meh... UC2 was incredible, 1 wasn't anything too good, and 3 was half amazing half boring, imo. And the flack is mostly because of how scripted and samey most of the games are. Except for 2, which starts off terrible and ends terrible but has 20 chapters of utter perfection in between.

Train sequence and village sequence in UC2 > shipyard in UC3. The best UC3 moment for me was the convoy chase on horseback and the Yemen segment.

Wouldn't the screens just look the same as if they were taken on the PSP anyways? It would be nice functionality, but as far as the game is concerned its rendering the same exactly amount of pixels and getting the same color values on either system. The magic comes from what the Vita does with the rendered image with additional filters and the damn sexy screen.

-FEB ($349)
-Hot Shots & Wipeout ($29 Each)
-Touch My Katamari & Uncharted ($29 & $39 w/$20 GC from TRU)
-16gb Memory Stick (traded Little Deviants for $24 & had BB store credit- $59)
-UMC3, Lumines & Rayman (B2G1 Amazon $80)

So roughly $600 in purchases later and I still need Virtua Tennis

And how is this bomba again? Between the 40 people on near within 5 miles and about 4 of my buddies who bought at least 3 games each i`m not seeing it....this system is amazing!

EA I want Mass Effect 3 right now for Vita....seriously

All that could be changed via a firmware patch. As the podcast from psnation put it, what we are getting out of the vita now is the tip of the iceberg. Features that people will likely want out of this device will surely come in the next months... and the whole going into the browser while playing a psp game is something everyone would want.

discounts is what made me dive in. i doubt ill be able to get the vita any cheaper for over a year, a 4gb memory card, and 3 games for under $200 after amazon credits(i had before, price is 300 without em).

Do you have to re-preorder?

I think so, since it applies a discount of $1.50 to the card and $18.50 to the Vita.

So now I'm refusing shipment of my Rayman Origins and Starter kit tomorrow, and reordered Rayman Origins, Lumines, and UMvC3 to get the B2G1.

I'm done now.

Not really, apart from Stardust. It has a lot of games, but nothing really piques my interest.

I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying a Vita, but for now it seems like it's not worth it yet.

Gravity Rush will likely be one of the best games of the year.

But that's not coming out yet for a while, is it... I mean right now, at launch.

besides stardust, the thing that makes this a must for me is the screen + dpad quality.

Where in the world did you get your info from? Lol

Not only is this launch full of great titles and Uncharted Golden Abyss is one of them, there are a lot of titles coming out over the next few months. Inlcuding Unit 13, MLB The Show, Gravity Rush, Resistance Burning Skies, Little Big Planet, Sound Shapes, and I am sure more we haven't even heard from yet.

If you don't like the looks of any of those games I am not sure what would appeal to you.

I bought somewhere around 7 launch games and have enjoyed them all to varying degrees. I spent too much on the hardware to have it sit there without any games to play.

A lot of the most significant Vita launch games are entries in already existing franchises or ports (Lumines, Uncharted, Wipeout, Rayman, Stardust, HSG, UMvC3, etc.), so I can understand why some people aren't all that excited. Having said that, I can't wait to dive back into Lumines and UMvC3, and I'm definitely looking forward to games like Gravity Rush that are coming out later this year.

The thing is, outside of the US and UK there's no good deals anywhere... and I usually buy from the UK, but not portables, since the sockets are different from ours in the rest of Europe and since it's a portable, that's a deal breaker.

stop making excuses and get one already!

Any way on Lockerz to see orders? I like the site, but its a bit confusing. I ordered Dynasty Warriors Next about two weeks ago, the Paypal charge appeared on my account, but then disappeared a few days ago. However, my points are still gone, so I assume the order didn't get canceled or anything.

I don't like the look of any game you mentioned except for Gravity Rush. Excuse me for being demanding, eh!
I'll definitely be buying the Vita... but not until there's some proper games for it.
