I can only hope this is being made to give 3ds game extra time to make it innovative

Oh what seriously? That was a GB game. Mindblown. That game had so much depth and my 10 year old self just loved it.
Sigh. so many good games left unlocalised. Not to mention 3DS is region locked. ;_;
Version 2? This srsly isnt a reprint is it?
That was a whole new generation that gave them the opportunity to introduce the missing link, they probably won't get that chance here.
It is pretty stupid though, that's for sure.
Sequel. SEQUEL.

Sometimes I forget I'm not alone, so this post makes me feel good.dsi xl owner *brofist* now we can wait for 3ds redesign.
Yup. Sounds about right. And here I thought the announcment was going to be groundbreaking. Perhaps an innovative pokemon game, but that's asking way too much.
Why reprint the games? They are available everywhere
Well calling it "Version 2" is a bit wrong if it's a sequel. Just "2" would have been fine.
Its not Version 2. Its Pokemon White Version 2, the sequel to Pokemon White Version.

Before Medabots was an anime series, it was a series of games. The first was released in 1997 on GameBoy, and spawned a tonne of sequels, and spinoffs. The series always did the Pokemon thing by releasing two versions of the same games - the Kabuto (known in the west as Metabee), and Kuwagata versions (known in the west as Rokusho). They even did the all encompassing third games in the Parts Collection titles, which were focused on challenge tower type events to get the best parts quickly. There are 6 titles (7 is in development on 3DS) in the main series, as well as 3 remakes/ports. Of those 9 in the main franchise, only a single one has been localized into English. It is the remake based on the second game in the main series. The second game is what the anime is based on. I was certain that the remake of the first game on GBA (which was released after 2's remake) would've been localized, but it wasn't...
The franchise was dead in Japan for a few years due to the insane milking it went through, but had a nice resurrection after the DS title came out. The DS title is a quasi-sequel to Medarot 2.

There are plenty of technical holes to fill. They could bring back the Contests, then there would be a method of evolving Feebas again.
Oh wow. Never knew that much. Big fan, huh?
From what you've posted, the DS one is a quasi-sequel so is the 3DS going to a reboot of the franchise or continuing what the DS one was about?
Black+White dragon fusion edition coming out december for 3DS?
Maybe they'll end up doing a Gray anyway. B/W and B2/W2 plus new content.
Pachter: Nintendo in disarray, abandons 3DS
The current Kyurem is the leftovers after Reshiram and Zekrom split off from it, so it makes sense for it to be a fusion...
...But is there one where they all get recombined coming, too? The original Kyurem?
I wonder what Pachter thinks of this news? Hmm...
Something like that?
Yes, I am a pretty large fan. So much so I run the only Medabots fansite interest in keeping up with news on the franchise. It's very difficult for me to follow though, since I do not read Japanese, and there's a lot of small things that fall through the cracks (mainly model kits and trading card information).
We really do not know much about Medabots on 3DS. It was announced in October 2010, and since then we've only received confirmation that the game still exists, as well as a failed design for a robot. Rocket Company (the company behind Medabots) is hiring new employees specifically for the franchise.
I hope we get some information about 3D soon.
All the people who are like "lol DS" confuse me. Do you guys sell your old consoles as soon as a new one comes out? I still have my 1994 SNES and I still play Super Mario World on it.

It just seems silly that they wouldn't put one of their biggest franchises on the device that could potentially expand from this. Their reasoning has something to do with backwards compatability and the cost of developing a new engine I'm sure, but it's still kind of ridiculous.
well the system is actually dead right now. it's surprising to see first party games come out for it, especially given the troubles early in the 3ds's life.
Yeah, but on the other hand, it's not gonna have that fucking 3DS tax! Some people do, even if I think they're crazy. That the 3DS is backwards compatible is helpful.
However. some people will be talking from a sales perspective - a Pokemon game is a guranteed multimillion dollar seller. Not having it on 3DS might seem odd, even if it makes sense in other ways.

Can't you play DS games on the 3DS though??

Priorities, people.
They look bad.
They look bad.
I got rid of my DS because I had mostly finished up my backlog of DS games. I regret it now, with new games and a few I missed.
MORE POKEMON MORE WIFI STUFF MORE EVOLUTIONS MORE POKE BALLS MORE GAME FREAK MORE DS
Can we do something interesting with this milked-beyond-belief series or just retire it for a while?
