Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 confirmed for Nintendo DS

So what about my original question? Is this grey with numbers in the name instead or is this new gyms new everything (same pokemon)? Or did they not say.

I'm slowly but surely gaining my ability to think back, but I remain impressed with my ability to stay on topic throughout my whole drunk ordeal. even though my thoughts were jumbled.

Damashii's actually based off of Medarot 3, and aired relatively soon after the first anime series concluded. It changed production studios (from BeeTrain to Production I.G.) and staff. It wasn't for the better.

I actually imported a copy of Medarot DS. Because I don't know Japanese I didn't get far, but from what I could tell it seemed like a very competent game. It was low budget, but that's because Rocket Company's best hope for the release was 100k (the game ended up shipping 150k all said which was a huge surprise).

With that said, I'm actually proud of Rocket. It seems they're putting effort into making sure Medarot 3D is a quality product, since they didn't just pump it out like they did sequels on the GB. Which is more than we can say about Capcom and MegaMan, whom once they got a sniff of that Battle Network money started milking that cow like it was 1992.

They didnt say anything other than showing off these new kyurem forms and naming them pokemon black 2 and pokemon white 2. We assume such a departure in terms of naming implies this will be some sort of direct sequel or something more newish than the regular old "third version" but at this point who knows.

As for the version stuff, I always use it when asking people what version they have or want to get etc.

Now here is the REAL question. We're getting Black/White 2 for DS and that explains where the events went for those missing legendaries.

When do we get our ARCEUS EVENT FOR THE AZURE FLUTE?
They never did this event so you could trigger the event in Platinum to enter the realm where Arceus lived. It was a seperate area and you could catch him. He was only released at live events and by hackers. What happened to the Azure Flute event that was supposed to let me catch God myself legitimately?

I would have expected the change from Bee Train to Production I.G. to have improved the animation quality, especially due to I.G.'s track record. Looks like I.G. put their lower tier team on Medarot due to lack of interest/money...

I saw some footage of Medarot DS and it looked like a pretty decent jump that translated the gameplay and experience quite faithfully to 3D. I can only imagine that they'll do a pretty good job with Medarot 3D. Again, hope for the best!

Capcom was pretty damn ridiculous with Megaman Battle Network. Not only did they do dual versions, with one of them even ported to the DS, they also tried to extend the series to the DS by changing BN into the (shitty) Starforce series. Not to mention all the seasons of anime they got to run. Capcom was going to run into dat franchise fatigue sooner or later. Serves them right, although I feel sorry for Inafune and the future of Megaman.

Actually, I do. I'll also mention full names when I type. Slightly less though lately for the typing part, but it still occurs.

There hasn't been any actual official explanation or anything, but the likely reason is that that particular Arceus had already been hacked and distributed all over the place by the point they actually got around to releasing it, and so the Pokemon Company decided not to actually release that particular Arceus and instead only release it through official events where they could stick a special "Classic Ribbon" to it, so that people would actually be able to tell the difference between the official event Arceus and the hacked "Hall of Origin" Arceus that had been distributed, and avoid the confusion that would have resulted over whether the Arceus your friend's trying to trade you was actually legit or not that had they released the Azure Flute one.

for a moment i thought there was a pokemon + k-on crossover anime lol.

this BW2 situation is rather weird but it kinda makes sense in retrospect. BW felt like they ended abruptly and that there was missing stuff. also, the fast pace of the anime makes sense now (6th gym already and BW aren't even 2 year old yet in japan)
 
Btw, are we even going to get Grey at this point? I mean it would be strange to have Gray 1 and Gray 2 as the respective 3rd editions of Gen V.

Ah, that's true... Hadn't really thought about that until you said it. Now I really wish they were 3DS titles... =/ Ah well, I suppose.

Actually, I had thought that at first myself following this news, but that really has nothing to do with anything, as what it means is that the anime will likely do the same thing that happened in the Advance Generation arc after Ash finishes with the Unova League: there will be another Battle Frontier arc, which could have happened regardless of whether it was Gray or BW2 we got (as they did it for Emerald, after all).

Question: This probably has already been touched upon already, but are we expecting any other new forms or Mons, other than what has been announced?
 
Maybe I'll be able to get around to playing B/W before these release.
I haven't gotten around to picking them up.

I guess I'll try to grab them off Amazon of Hastings soon.
 
Sigh...I loved Pokémon Black and I will surely buy the sequel...but it saddens me that I perfectly know I'll never be able to catch all of the Pokémon.

Also it could have been cool if the platform was 3DS...the spotpass features could have come in handy.
 
Since this game is coming out in June, would it be safe to assume it's releasing in the states in time for the holidays? The gap between Japan and US releases are about 7 months, so that would put it at a December release.
