High School Girls are Funky has Yuu Kobayashi which makes it superior to shows without Yuu Kobayashi. Its simple math really.
I'm definitely enjoying it so far!

Keep it up, the first few episodes are slow, but it gets a lot better!

Yeah, the first four episodes are boring
Nichibros is better than Nichijou.
High School Girls are Funky is better than K-On.
Nichibros' literary girl is better than Bungaku Shoujo.
Any show/movie that Nichibros has even the slightest association with, it immediately becomes superior. All hail our high school boy overlords.
After the first half of episode two, you really could just skip to episode six and it would probably enhance the experience.

What was the significance of Reiko being obscured behind that glass pane during her and Sakakibara's conversation at the beginning?
I feel like they were forcing the Mei-moe way too hard. She was cool in prior episodes because she had some spunk and life to her, but in this one she was really flat(hurr). On the other hand, I have to give the show major props for not having Reiko blush furiously and/or flip out when that dude complimented her figure.

I kept expecting the "Novumundus High Council" to appear as monoliths in a void, they already have a the exotic name down. Novumundus means "World Anew" or "New World" in latin.

Let's go karaoke! And, surprisingly, the series didn't use it to shill out more CDs unlike other shows. It was amusing and I really can't see how they are not friends at this point.
I think at this point, I'm on side Sena though, just cause I don't see any really redeeming quality of Yozora. I'm sure that might change once this whole past thing comes up into the light, but even now I don't really care much for what might happen involving that.

Sorry, it just seems like really generic '80s pop music to me. It can't compete with this in terms of earworm status.
That's almost definitely the exact reason they chose that song. Doesn't make it not catchy, though!
The first time I heard the Tsukihi Phoenix op, it occurred to me that it's basically the same song as Ren'ai Circulation. I think this pretty much proves it.

What a climax this is heading towards, shit getting real all over the place, revelations I should have seen coming if I switched my brain on for a minute (Toei episode titles strikes again!!), and despite being in enemy territory they somehow manage to de-transform for the sake of showing each of their transformation sequences in full.
And on some level I'm going to miss that awful cg ED.

Yeah, I watch it only for Mei and the moe elements.
It's sad because the novel and the manga are completely different.
You'll always have Smile's awful CG ED, that just debuted three weeks ago.
