Anyone? I realize it's a stupid question, but I'm very curious if One Piece is accessible without having to read all of it's previous arcs.

Late but, I actually did jump into One Piece at, not at the start but in the Impel Down arc and was hooked. I liked it and then jump backed from start to finish.

(one could start the anime since they are reairing it from episode one in high resolution soon...)

Does this mean they'll find a cure to fix her body and she becomes a sexy woman just like the teacher? That wouldn't be too bad.
Say hello to Jinie. Improved v2.

Why does nobody comment on my Breaker trolling? It makes my comments look legit. :(
Hmm.. The guy and girl are both smart, they constantly compete with each other and have a general tsuntsun dislike for each other.

The biggest factor I think is that the art wasn't your typical bishy art, so it might be categorized under shounen as well.. that's why i've been having a hard time finding it.
Special A has that sub-plot as well. And it won't be shoujo if it is labeled shounen...
If you can provide more descriptions for the characters or settings then other shoujoheads can pin down the manga for you.
There's more of us?
Trying to think of more things to suggest has me realize that this setup must be my weakness and now I'm going to spend the next few days re-reading things (or reading new things, ooh Last Game...)
I'm a sucker for sudden girlfriend appearance. Let's make some recommends.

Gamaran

Cock-tease chapter with awful, awful translation. Fuck this shit.

Fist of the Blue Sky 211

C'moooon. I wanna see a fight, not a tiger taming session.

Magi

Man out of nowhere today I remembered how some weeks ago I read somewhere that the group still didn't have raws for v9, and they'll be in stalemate.

Then it hit me that we're like 1-2 chapters away from finishing v8.

Like, for real. Does anyone know what's the situation? I'm not ready yet. I'm not ready for this

TLR D

Wait... Lala?

You mean, THAT "Phantom Lala"?! That legendary girl who was rumored to be the MC of some distant, ancient manga, and then disappearing without trace..!!?

The queen is dead, long live the queen.

Kamungara vol 1

Goddamit. I only planned to read a few chapters of this and then drop it, but it's actually pretty good. It kind of reminds me of Parasyte.

Really shouldn't have started this. Don't need to be reading a series that hasn't had a translated chapter in 4 fuckin years.

I think I started this at some point and dropped it when I realized I hated the female lead.

And, hey, I keep reading things and then check after the fact if it's even being worked on. So many disappointments :( So many... Speaking of, read Last Game earlier today and I'm intrigued. Sadly, I doubt it'll get any translation love so that was probably a bad call. Though, it was just four chapters so it's not like I wasted a ton of time or anything...

TLRD: Well, as if the original wasn't already a huge ripoff of UY, now it has its own "Lum's Stormtroopers" as well.

Marineford is better than gold
Mainly because it revisit a million characters (both big players and small timers) from previous arcs and add new twists to them.

In other words, Marineford would be an awful place to start. It unload everything that's been boiling for years with constant and intense pacing. No build-up, none of that fun.

If you cant handle a long series, dont read One Piece.

TLR Darkness

Every time Lala appears in this is to remind you that she's not the main girl anymore and that she barely reaches a third rate character status.

Claymore

Every time I read a new chapter, I have to go back and read the one before because I can't barely remember what's happening. I think that means the manga is slow as hell, at least seems like is finally going for something important to happen.

Berserk vol 30

The more I catching up the more I'm realizing we'll never get a proper ending to this.

Shonan 14 Days is completed but hasn't been fully translated. Someone posted a while back that Fujisawa was working on a new manga I believe.

Other manga you might be interested,

Bamboo Blade
Full Metal Panic! Overload - Fumoffu-type Shenanigans
Kurohime
Gundam Sousei
Gundam Crossbone
Ichigo 100% - My Harem shit suggestion =p.
Kyou Kara Ore Wa - I think you dropped this at one point?
Tenshi na Konamaiki - Same mangaka as above

Honestly you don't even have to be a Gundam fan to appreciate Gundam Sousei or the badassery in Crossbone.

If you have some time to invest into a shoujo series I would recommend:

Kare Kano
Lovely Complex
Nodame Cantabile
Aishiteruze Baby

For Lovely Complex or Nodame I would recommend the anime though.
Dem suggestions. Muchas gracias, dude.

I remember someone saying Ichigo 100% had a really unsatisfying ending. Or am I thinking of another series?

Yeah, a lot of people disliked the ending because of who the main character ended up with but it's not bad and doesn't kill the series as a whole. I personally didn't like that either but I still thought it was good.

The ending was boss. Tsukasa for life.

That it didn't go with the obvious choice is one of the main reasons I like Ichigo 100% so much. In a genre filled with predictable and boring plots, it was a breath of fresh air. Or panties, as the case may be.

I'm guessing the main dude didn't end up with the main chick? Good shit in that case. The main girl is usually the least interesting one to me. And it's so boring when in so many series the very first chick is the one chosen in the end. Just removes any potential tension from other stories in the genre for me.

Ichigo 100% is just unsatisfaying.

As a whole.

I stopped it reading because at some point it became a really bad romance manga with moronic drama, and never looked back.

Same here expect i did read last few chapters for the ending .

I think the way it was done had allot of people piss off if i remember right .
Time skip then you got a ending or something like that .

Depends if you hate the person or not.

Kimi ni Todoke is awesome for the simple fact it does not try to be more than what it is .
Shame on you gunbo.

I soldiered through for the inevitably disappointing finish. It really got stretched pretty thin at points, though. Just sort of a terrible trend :/

The final stretch was pretty underwhelming. I still think it's worth reading, though. Just can't expect too much from it.

Yeah, but IIRC there's not much development between him and the girl he ends up with so I ended up a bit disappointed. Main girl was more interesting as well, IMO.

Yeah I see that argument a lot and it's true. Buuut, I think the author could've handled it a lot better.
Been a while since I read it, but there was a severe lack of development with Tsukasa near the end. I would've enjoyed it more if the author focused on that.

Yep it seem like a plot twist for the sake of it to many people IIRC .
Should have gotten more development and that would make things better .

Mmhm. I really love the author's art, too. Need to continue reading Ane Doki at some point.

Indeed. I read Ane Doki just for that.

A part of me is a little disappointed that Ane Doki was so short. On the other than, I'm glad it didn't have the chance to get completely stupid.

This, basically. I'm fine that the wrong team won and all, it just didn't feel like it got to that conclusion all that well.

No. 6 Side Story

Pretty nice and intense with the wake up from a nightmare scene. Nezumi still keeps the best lines. The omake stuff at the end was funny, especially the one with Shion talking about one he keeps thinking about to Safu and Safu breaking the glass cup, lol. One of my favorite manga.

It was fucking stupid. Not who he ended up with but "how" they went about it. Ichigo 100% was rare in that it was a "grounded" harem. The ending went the entire stupid ass shounen ending route that nobody on this planet would go through. Love Collage did it right. Even Change 123 did it better.

KnT moves so damn slow that it actually erases your memory of previous chapters.
Hey I like The Breaker New Waves. Well, I certainly like Jinnie.
That's not the point. This is a mangaf issue.

But...

So mean, so awesome.

Is there any manga dealing with a guy trying to avoid a stalker/psycho chick? Not a story arc or a plot thread, but pretty much the main focus?

Weird timing that everyone is talking about romance manga and manwha. I recently finished Unbalance x Unbalance. I feel the thing would have ended in half the time if the protagonists weren't idiots. It swung between charming and frustrating at the drop of a hat.

The ending was so, so bad. I recognize that the author wants to continue his other projects but man was that ending shit.
