@Thedutchslayer - yes there was. I think the date was 23rd and included counties such as Spain, Portugal etc.

@desu - usually it will ship to your door for the 16th. Also in store and at most apple vendors that date too.

If it's anything like previous launches, they'll arrive at your house on the day-of. So you would expect to get it on the 16th.
