Cool! What country?

It was ok for an AppleTV2, but now it's awesome IMO. Show me another box out there that costs $99 and can run XBMC and video at 1080p.

is it more flexible on formats (eg MKV)? video playback was never really an issue for me, but the UI was just a bit limited. Still miles better than a basic WDTV etc though

XBMC is full XBMC on the AppleTV. It is more flexible on formats and it's completely skinnable. If you wanted you could overhaul the UI yourself just by configuring the XML files.

You guys have been discussing how Apple sells products for pages as if they haven't considered the potential confusion you're talking about. Seriously.

the only people that might actually be confused are people like us that think too hard about such silly things. And we really understand anyway

Canadian store is up.

edit: got all the way to the engraving option now it's slow as molasses.

edit2 :oooo checkout page.

Ugh, totally flew into the online store just now all the way to the checkout. Then I realized I was in the US store and not the Canada one. Fuck.

Canada still down.

edit-

Canada up again, but pages mysteriously can't be found! lol. I don't understand.

Pre-Order complete! BOOYAH!

Still "Be Back Soon" on the UK store. At least I know (or hope) that nobody else here can get preorders in while the site's down!

This thread's moving so fast... is collect from an Apple Store an option during preordering, or is it a separate link?

Seems like any hope of playing BD rips has been dashed. Hell, Apple TV is actually less capable than iPad.
