Salt?
Are you seriously trying to sell me on Deron Williams?
Dude you seriously, seriously have no idea what you are talking about.
I'm not selling you on Deron Williams...I specifically remember saying something along the lines of The Jazz got as bad of a trade for Deron Williams as Stern got for CP3
Everyone was quick to jump in to O'Conner's defense and say he got a great deal and all this youthiness and potenshul in the pick that became Kanter, Favors, Harris etc.
Favors and Kanter have been woefully unimpressive because they're basically backing up 2 of the Jazz 3 best players. Harris has been a joke.
The Deron Williams trade was a HORRIBLE trade for the Jazz. They panicked and traded him really quickly and got not much in return. It's like the Lakers trading Pau Gasol for a backup Center and a Backup SG.
Trading for or drafting young pieces that play the same position as 2 of your 3 best players is a dumb idea and I called them out on it.
The Stern / Clippers trade I was badmouthing since day 1 with the whole Eric Gordon is a rich man's K Mart, Kaman plays Okafor's position (although Monty is making it work) and the Minny pick isn't worth too much.
You all harped on me for it, I came out right. Utah and NO gave up 2 of the top 4 PG's in the league and got practically NOTHING back for it because the players they got either won't stick around, or backup their best players.
You just outdid Syphon...congrats?
Oh stop, Syphon just writes homerish Knick posts. I don't care for the Jazz or the Hornets or the Nets. I'm simply pointing out the truth, the Jazz traded a top 3 pure PG for pieces, that to their team, are essentially useless.
But by all means, keep pushing the company line..."But we got Favors...FAVORS...do you not see? FAVORS? He's amazing...look FAVORS!"
