I love that the top of the foreign language poster has "TRANSFORMERS" and "RIHANNA" with top billing.
We're not involved in the actual cutting of trailers as we just provide shots, so I wouldn't know the soundtrack used. Sorry!Nice.
By the way, seeing as you work for ILM, do you know what track they used for this new trailer? Would appreciate it if someone can grab a name.

Looks more fun than Taylor Kitsch's other 2011 blockbuster.
I always wondered who cuts those trailers. Is there a specific company which solely focuses on the cutting of trailers and spots, or is it usually done by someone at the movie's studio? How long have you been working there? Have you met Spielberg and Lucas?![]()
Someone more knowledgeable of the US Navy and its procedures could probably answer this with more certainty, but my understanding is that a warship being prepared for the museum isn't even able to move under its own power and has to be towed to its destination. I think they pretty much render it inoperable before it even leaves the shipyard for its final museum berth.Point taken. Though I still think in a Museum scenario they'd still wouldn't load every weapon. After all you'd have to get all this ammunition back to the main-base after the transport. An escort would probably make the most sense.
don't care if bad or not.
will watch it anyway.
Why would we be involved with the audio side?ILM is really making the most of the Transformers designs and sounds. This movie is seemingly reusing stuff and that giant flying robot in The Avengers also seems to be a Transformer.
Why would we be involved with the audio side?
And there aren't any reused assets. As for the designs, we're a for-service company - if the studio or director wants a certain look, that's what they're going to get it since they are funding it all.
So people who are hating on this movie would rather go watch "Tree of Life?" Or are they just tired of sucking on the Bay's teat?
You'd probably like the ILM finals reel then, which only shows all the effects shots with no dialogue and just a music track blasting. We do these for all projects, hell I recall the TF2 one had some of the original theme remixed in the background track. Don't remember if Michael Bay had a reaction to that or not.
Wait, this is a real movie? Wow
Ask the studios. Hell, Skywalker Sound didn't even work on any of the recent Transformers movies, so we wouldn't have in-house access to the sound library for those movies anyway. Not that we'd do any audio work in the first place, that's their domain. Then why does everything look like a Transformer now and why do all these movies choose to use the same robot sounds?
How does this get a 200 million$ budget but a true to source material Bioshock film can't even get off the ground.
Fuck Hollywood.

Yes and it will make a lot of money, since it´s like transformers.
That Oliver Stone movie?Looks more fun than Taylor Kitsch's other 2011 blockbuster.
Except TRANSFORMER had an audience that grew up with fond memories of the cartoon it was based on. No one gives a shit about Battleship. Do you really believe that people are sitting around thinking I want a movie based off of that board game Battleship? No, now Monopoly on the other hand would make money because people would actually want to see how the movie figures out how to end the game. It would also be like 10 hours long and everyone would remember that they hate the boardgame for that reason.
Yeah but it's not boring looking like Prometheus![]()

You think Batman & Robin is a good movie.
