Would you not do it for deng & Gibson.

Mel's a ball stopper in the same way Kobe is. The stupidity of the offense where "if there are 7 seconds left, give it to melo and let him iso" is so absurdly bad for melo's stats/appearance.

its bullshit that cheap ass sarver didn't resign louuu but he gave childress and shitty ass warrick all that money. and I see dragic has been balling for the rockets too.

Yeah, it sucks.

Well, to be fair, Childress was ballin' overseas so Sarver prolly thought...and Warrick was supposed to be the Amare heir.

I have no idea why you let BEST SLOVENIAN go but you guys also got rid of RR9.

Melo for Rashard Lewis. At least he only has 1 more year on his deal. Probably shoots better these days too.

If I was New York, I'd send him to ORL for Howard.

Who gives a shit if he re-signs or not? You off-load Melo's contract and clear a shit ton of cap.

And ORL gets a ticket seller.

Aaron Brooks had just won MIP. He's meant to be the heir to Nash. Cept he's utter shit.

See, i'm not even mad about the childress signing. But the warrick one was absurd.

Could have just got lou instead of Warrick. wouldn't have been that different.

but w/e. The era was done when Amare went to NY.

Stat gets blamed all the time, but we didnt trade an entire basketball team for him. Also with that contract Stat is permanent Knick for life status, bitching about him too much is pointless.

When a man plays defense like Stoudemire it's calling stealing money. Unless "permanent Knick for life" is a bad thing

Except STAT has a history of working in that system.

but it's year 2 of his contract and he's already looking like raptors olajuwon

wait why is everyone calling for Melo's head?

Orlando says no to all of these right?

Maybe this one: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=77fqfpj

Knicks rotation should be

STARTING:

Davis
SHUMSPS DA GOD
Melo
Amare
Tyson

BENCH:

Lin
Fields
JR Smith
Novak
Jeffries

No one else should get a single minute, that includes ROSTER PLAYER #55

amare isn't being a diva and ignoring his coach and teammates.

I would rather build around a diva with the right pieces rather than a broken down power forward, but it's already established there's no point in talking about Stoudemire being traded.

Kobe was also a diva but he's Kobe so you build around him

Remember when Bron tried to get Spoelstra fired? good times.

Kobe was a diva and so was shaq. But they were also winners who got shit done. Melo doesn't back it up like kobe does.

Unless its a future hall of famer being a diva (kobe, shaq, (as much as i hate him lebron), give me the team player who isn't going to make everyone around him worse.

I would do this, but Joe D wouldn't: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=82kw2wz

Either of these would be even better:

I meant Melo for Howard straight up. (the salary pretty much match)

Are you just throwing in Chandler so Orlando gets back a center too?
I guess I went beyond your just clearing space idea and assumed that the Knicks might want to actually keep Dwight if they got him, plus they could maybe get more pieces back (like Anderson) and while the rotation would be epic with Dwight-Chandler-Amare they'd probably wind up wanting to move Chandler for help at other spots anyway. Orlando getting two starters maybe helps them make the deal too.

the funniest part about those trades are how bad those Detroit contracts are. Gordon, Charlie V, and Prince are so bad and making so much.

does charlie even play? He didn't vs lakers...

edit: Detroit is paying $66 million for it's roster this season? ahahaahahahahahaha. Pacers are at $43 million. hahaha Joe D. hahahaha.

That's why I'd take back a guy with a 5% chance of becoming a 25ppg scorer again and would even accept this current level of Amare for three years rather than pay those three guys to be just worthless. (Don't tell the rest of the league though.) Charlie V put up 16/7 in 2009, Gordon was a 20 point scorer 6MOY!, Prince went to five straight Eastern Finals, Two NBA Finals, was the stopper on a championship team! We'll take your uninsured contract!

He's played nine minutes this season. Nobody really knows why, the team has been claiming it's some ankle injury but never specific as to what exactly.

Until he actually got on the court I had assumed he either died or ballooned Shawn Kemp style during the lockout.

Look how long those contracts last, even Jerebko's...

And they're all player options, not team options. :(

I really need Dwight to finish the season in Orlando. NJ wants Diaw for Farmar, Petro, and a mother fucking 1st LOL

If we flip DJ for a 1st somehow too... I'd build a shrine to Cho.

Kemba
Hendo
Black Falcon
Unibrow
Smackdaddy BiyOMGNO

so humble all around

The worst part is many people forget those 2008 Pistons won 59 games and gave the Celtics a hell of a time in the Eastern Finals before Prince and Sheed shit the bed in game six. They had Sheed, Rip, Billups and Prince all coming off their contracts within two or three years. They also had Amir Johnson, Afflalo, Stuckey and Maxiell who were solid. (And why the team kept being good as long as it did bringing them off the bench.) And Flip was able to get the best out of the veterans because he let Sheed wander outside, Billups run the offense, etc.

So they could have won say maybe 50 games for two more seasons and then blown it up entirely, with some young pieces in place and gobs of cap space.

Instead Joe D hires Michael Curry who didn't know what the fuck to do with the veterans (and who had a shitty reputation with players in the league to where some considered him a "snitch" to coaches), deals Afflalo and Billups for Iverson which implodes the team (sends the Nuggets to the West Finals, Melo a superstar confirmed!) and has guys like Sheed and Rip just giving up but not enough they miss the playoffs. Then he has a ton of space thanks to Iverson but immediately blows it on Charlie V and Gordon, neither of whom have ever been more than great bench scorers because they're tweeners and stink at defense. Then he hires the mastermind of the Cavaliers clear out and have LeBron do everything offense. This eventually results in another mutiny.

Meanwhile he's given Rip and Prince stupid extensions. (And then bought Rip out of the one he gave him.)

Guy was brilliant from 2001-2004 and basically erased it all during 2008-11. If he didn't draft as well as he does team would be even worse. (Too bad he's given up half the players, Afflalo, D.J. White, Budinger, sent Macklin to the D-League.)

Wouldn't mind a few fancy dunks from Amare, some 25-30 point games when he's feeling good, maybe more since the Pistons have one of the better training staffs (not Phoenix level, but still good, they went through the 2006 season playing only six and a half guys) and a bench full of cheap young players. Better than giving $25+ million a year to Prince, Charlie V and Gordon over the same time.

You know I forgot about JR because he left his j in China, but that makes 2 shooters, him and Novak. Who else is a pure shooter on this team? SVG has tons and has had tons in Orlando.
Pure shooters? Naw. Guys who can hit the 3 in rhythm? Plenty.

Ray has to fall off a cliff one of these days. I don't want to get rid of Taj/Asik for 1 or 2 years of Ray's twilight.

I also can't forget the way he shat the bed in game 3 a couple of years ago.

As for melody, no thanks.
