2012 NBA Mar |OT| Knicks fans now drinking JD in straight shots

I would let Howard expire before being fucked over by the Lakers. I feel for sure Magic fans would agree with me.

Bynum with a team option next year and a pick is better than nothing. They stay in playoff contention for the foreseeable future and for some reason owners love to make money.

Fans would rather tank for better picks but Owners and GMs usually don't think with that same mentality.

I think if it happens Lakers have to take on Hedo's deal at least, but Magic can't demand both first round picks, Bynum, Ebanks, Glock not take Fish or Metta and shed Hedo and Duhon.

It's not a reasonable trade whatsoever and Otis will be facing a lynch mob if that deal goes through. The only way he should do a trade with the Lakers is if he gets Bynum, young talent, a draft pick or two, and they'd have to take on Turk's contract. The Magic taking on Fisher and Artest would be the dumbest fucking thing ever.

and last i read, all the pressure is on otis to trade dwight, which in latest reports are desperate to trade him. Otis has zero leverage at this point.
He has a barrel of a gun pointing at him, he has less than 24hours to bite the bullet and get the best return for dwight and right now its drew plus fillers.

Portland's talks with Minnesota for Jamal Crawford are part of a 3-way scenario with Lakers, source says. Michael Beasley would go to LA.

There, some credible LA news

This firing was always a possiblity. They forced D'Antoni to hire a defensive assistant. And it isn't a coinicdence that the guy they chose is a former head coach that has coached a playoff team and chose to resign from said team. Melo asked for this and Dolan made it happen. At the end of last season their were rumblings that Melo didn't like the offense.

I would trade Howard for Boris Diaw before I sent him to the Lakers. Especially since that team beat them in the Finals not too long ago.

lol

lol @ Knick-age ... What just happened?

Anyway, I'm one of the few people who don't think Melo is a cancer. That said it's now pretty obvious Melo didn't gel well with the Knicks system under Mike D. They had to shake something up and they've already invested too heavily into Melo.

Let's also be real, the recent Knick slide isn't all on Melo. Teams have now had a chance to properly scout Lin and so he's now become a turnover machine, and Stat needs to step up as well.

What's sad is that the Knicks probably would be in better shape if they just held on to their core group of young players last year.

Otis will be forced to swallow his pride. He has two choices, he looks like shit in both of them. Either to ownership or to the fanbase.

Bynum + Pick + Metta or Fish for Dwight Hedo and Duhon is about as good a deal as he's going to get.

Lakers don't have much young talent and aren't willing to give more than 1 pick. Magic are in a vulnerable place right now.

Nets are hoping nothing happens so they don't have to give up Lopez, Brooks or picks.

GS said "FUCK YOU"

Mil said "FUCK YOU"

They only have one known trade partner and are in no position to demand anything.

OK, assuming the Magic accept MWP and Fisher...

WHY WOULD THE LAKER FO TRADE BYNUM AND TAKE A GAMBLE ON HOWARD WALKING @ SEASON'S END?

NO ONE HAS A LOGICAL ANSWER TO THIS.

You guys really don't want a tweener SF/PF that loves himself ugly bitches, Cali weed and sugary sweets?

Aren't the Lakers already out of the discussion or has Dwight changed his stance on not signing an extension?

That has to be the biggest roadblock. Dwight is flip flopping in the media but behind the scenes is said to have his mind made up on The Nets.

Giving up Bynum+pick for 30 games of Dwight would be a huge risk/mistake. Jerry West would do it.

Stephen A just came out and said Mike didn't want Melo and didn't want to trade gallo for him. Confirmed what I've thought since the trade happened.

Fuck Dolan.

Jerry would do it and that is why he is the greatest GM in NBA history.

Seriously, why?

I would not trade away Bynum for a rental of Dwight. FUCK THAT.

Do you honestly think Dwight wouldn't resign with the Lakers? Come on mang.

Dwight, Kobe, Pau? Yes.

I find it hard to believe that the Lakers FO would feel like they would be incapable of resigning Howard. A franchise of that caliber shouldn't think twice about that.

don't know. maybe mitch is calling dwight's bluff about not resigning an extension.
he'd be losing an 8 figure extension if he bails at season's end.
that's the only play i can imagine.

mamba, do the math, how much would dwight lose exactly if he walks after the season?

Thats not news. We all know he loved Gallo.

Not news to me, but Stephen A just confirmed for me that Mike and Donnie didn't want Melo. Stephen A loves melo, but then again Stephen A is a racist and always talks badly about the players that aren't African American.

Its going to be hard to watch Galo next season when he's putting up 20ppg on a great TS while playing good on the defensive end.

Lakers won't get his bird rights, the Nets can give him the same extension the Lakers could.
