it means dwight wants to play with deron and wants to reap the benefits of having a billionaire owner slip him a few millions under the table.

this means ramon sessions for a first round pick is a lock as well.

All I know is this. I used to respect and like Howard. After this season he kind of creeps me out, and I have lost a lot of respect for him. I wouldn't want him on my team. He seems uber selfish.

Thank god Bynum came up this year.

Sounds good from the Wolves perspective, especially if the no picks part is true. Certainly better than the Ridnour + pick trade for Crawford that was rumored earlier this month.

Definitely. A Crawford rental isn't worth a pick. Even if he commits to 2012.

Guessing the soonest Crawford would play is Sunday, though. Getting through these next 2 games will be tough.

please don't trade blake until after the game, tonight.

Morris is hurt. No other PG on the roster but Fish. Means Kapono gonna play. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeah that Bynum, such a high-character guy. And let's not forget upstanding citizens like Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant.

Yeah, no kidding. I was wondering why he wanted out in the first place. I could understand if a team is not doing anything to try to build a team, but hell... Magic tried to do anything to bring the right players. Not to say that they've made the right moves (or salary), but they sure were trying to please Howard the best they could.

Not that I cared because if that meant that Lakers had a chance of landing him, I was all for it. Then he started being a little girl about it. It's either "trade me" or "keep me."

The deadline is TOMORROW.

They'll hold him out of tonight's game if it's as close as reported. Even if it's not quite done.

Update: Blazers trying to get a draft pick from Lakers in 3-team deal | http://www.csnnw.com/pages/landingb...-to-being-a-Blaz=1&blockID=669842&feedID=5212 | Steve Blake is the 2nd option.

Blake AND a draft pick. FUUUUUUCK THAT

Everything is agreed upon in the 3-team deal except for what the Blazers get back from the Lakers.

But thats impossible.

"Impossible is not in my dictionary, comrade."

I think shipping Beasley for a rental of Crawford is a dumb long-term decision for the Wolves, but he wasn't meshing so I guess its better than nothing.

I still think he has a ton of talent and can help a team. I like the trade for the Lakers. Its even better if they manage to get Sessions.

Obviously we'll see how this plays out in the next 24 hours, but I'd be inclined to believe some local Orlando sources over a few national guys personally. Especially one with the last name Coon.

Keeping Beas for next year would be 8 mil, at least here they're getting value for more or less nothing

The #Blazers would get a 1st-round pick in addition to Blake in the three-team deal. Not sure where the pick is coming from yet.
nnoooooooo

Need Sessions god damn it.

Session + beasley.

What do they do with barnes?

this is a mess. Makes no sense. Why not trade barnes over blake? fffuuuck

Only with a qualifying offer that he accepts. They can also just re-sign him without it for less.

Well I can't really deny Beasley still has a lot of potential and has lots of years left to improve. But from his time here he's just been such a headcase and, as a result, he's expendable. Besides, I'm pretty sure the Wolves would have lost him for nothing this offseason anyways because I can already tell some team would have given him some stupid high offer based on his potential and the Wolves would not want to match that because they don't really want him anyways. At least this way they get a player at a position where they need the most help.

The end of the Michael Beasley era is frustrating. The guy is so talented, I want him to succeed to badly, but he never put it together. That time he put up 42 on Sacramento, the game winners he hit on Cleveland and the Clippers, there are times when you see it. Just never consistently. Never enough to make him a long term keeper, especially when he didn't accept the sixth man role.

It's sad. Best of luck to the guy. Maybe that talent will manifest itself for somebody one day.

the devil incarnate / Sessions
Kome / lol no one else is getting minutes
Supercool / Metta! / Barnes
Gasoft / McBoberts
No-knees-num

pretty big upgrade I'd say. Though I cringe at the idea of Beasley trying to stay focused in LA. Shit, he couldn't even do it in Minnesota.

They'll miss Blake's shooting though.

Sounds just like another weed smoker that used to play for the Lakers.

Lakers need to get under the salary cap soon or they face insane penalties because of their loaded contracts to Kobe/Pau/Bynum

They're going 'all in' this season and if we don't win...I'm sure they're gutting parts of the team next year (unless we got WCF or Finals close)

That being said, Picking up Beasley and Sessions is the best we can do unless we can get Deron for Pau long term.

Fuck Howard, I don't want him here.

If LA gets Beasley and Sessions and just gives up Blake and a pick...That's gravy for me.

If we have Sessions we don't need Blake, we do need Fisher though. There's no one I would want on the court in the final 5 minutes of a close playoff game at PG than Fisher.

Kobe / Artest / Barnes can cover most PG's well enough to keep Fisher's decision making / clutch shooting ability on the floor. Besides, every shot he shoots the last several games seems like it's going in

beasley would definitely come off the bench as a scorer. No need with the towers + kobe.

Session-Glock-beas-Mcbobs-Bynum bench sounding okay if that were to happen.

Wes Johnson, who is on a slow climb out of totally miserable and now just sucks. Beasley started at the beginning of the season, but had played himself out of the rotation of late. The defense was never there.

especially when he didn't accept the sixth man role.

What makes you think he didnt? Publicly he said he has no problem with it and wants to stay in Minny. His play hasnt deteriorated since the move either, hes played about the same.

This is more of a "we want to bank on Derrick Williams rather than Beasley" move

And, yes, if this deal goes through, the Lakers would likely follow with a move for another point guard. And, yes, they would be more willing to part with one of their two first-round picks with a young talent like Beasley in the fold, according to a source familiar with the Lakers’ thinking.

In fact, the source said, it would be “a major surprise” if the Lakers didn’t “act quickly” in trying to obtain a guard to replace Blake.

Well then.
