Double VIP a once a year thing? I couldn't afford to go two modulars in this round, hoping for another chance later this year with the chance to earn some points.
A site to try and estimate the extent of my collection? Awesome
speaking of which, what does brickset have over rebrickable? i only have a rebrickable account.
Rebrickable is awesome in figuring out what other sets you can build with the pieces you currently have.
St. Patrick's Day deal?
ToysNBricks.com said:On Thursday, March 15, LEGO Brand Stores in United States, Canada and United Kingdom will be having a fun little event for St. Patrick’s Day. If you can find the “LEGO 4-Leaf Clover” (Shamrock) at the LEGO Store, you can get some suprise savings! You can also enter a draw for your chance to win your own “LEGO Pot of Gold” (US and Canada only).
I'm very tempted to sign up for the Lego MBA set 2-6 and 7-9 subscriptions as well since they're doing free shipping and double VIP but I've sunk too much into Lego recently to justify that.
Just out of curiosity: have the Chinese started copying LEGO yet?
There's a few various knockoffs available. But literally NOTHING (not even Mega Blocks, Lego's biggest "competitor", if you can call them that) compares to the quality of the real thing.
I ordered the mini-modulars (I blame you guys in this thread!) and my wife wanted this so I ordered that too:

She's such a geek. I love her![/QUOTE]
My sister got this for me for Christmas. You boop his head to hit the snooze. Pretty sturdy, too.

I heard its twice a year, usually March/April and October or as some call it Bricktober.
How does everyone store and display their LEGO sets and boxes? I'm running out of room in my closet for some of these large boxes and my desk is packed. I need a dedicated bookshelf or something to display everything.

I break down and recycle my boxes![]()

Cripes, the wait for the Avengers LEGO sets is killing me. My daughter wants Cap's motorcycle and the Hellicarrier for her birthday, which is May 5. I hope they're out before that.
I want the Quinjet. Badly.

Does anyone know if they still make new series of Bionicles? Those were always pretty damn cool to me.
A Legoland Discovery Center opened up here in Atlanta recently. Is there much fun to be had for grownups? From the looks of the site, it looks to be geared toward really young kids. But there IS a Lego Shop there...may be worth the price of admission just for that.
Rebrickable also lets you import orders from bricklink, you can see what parts you are missing from your collection to build a set and then export that list to a bricklink wanted list
The Lego shops at Legoland Discovery Centers are a bit of a different animal. You cannot use or accrue VIP points there because they aren't official Lego Stores or something odd like that. I don't recall there being a pick-a-brick wall at the one I was at.

They kept making new versions until a couple years ago. The hero factory lineup has replaced them and is the same idea of lego technic action figures.
Just know that hero factory and normal lego parts look good together.Hero Factory is what I was thinking in my reply, not Bionicle.![]()
How much were they? For the Star Wars fans out there Walmart has new polybags of the mini Star Destroyer and Tie Fighter in stock. I went to 2 during lunch but only one of them had any so you YMMV...

They're $3.97.
