Brad on chat: "i'm happy to report i'm uploading the first around-the-office video starring vinny"
Fuck yes!
EDIT. What he said.
Nice to see other people coming around to this. I felt like the only positive one a few hours ago!

I liked how 'clearing the air' was basically just letting jeff tell us the firing was exactly as bad as everyone had thought
So, we can confirm the big wigs from Gamespot/CNet back in 2007 were full of shit when they said, "Oh no, the Kane & Lynch review totally had nothing to do with why we fired him."
What a bunch of scumbags.
You were! Some of us aren't so quick to jump on things. We have these things called hesitations. And there is a good reason for it.
I'm down with new people. Davison seems pretty alright.Glad today has ended so well. Loving the prospect of GB continuing to be GB, and I'm in the minority of looking forward to some GS people popping up too.
Rorie just tweeted a picture of him getting ready to drink by himself in response to Ryan going out for drinks.

People always complain about them omitting various genres of games from their coverage. More people means more coverage. Klepek seemed to bring a lot of video coverage of handheld games to the site the past few months, and I'm sure some of the Gamespot editors will do the same. Just the other day people were posting things like "Why even do a Street Fighter x Tekken Quick Look if they don't know how to play it well?!" Maybe Gamespot has a fighting game loving editor who can help them out in the future like Rorie did with Dark Souls.
It doesn't really matter to me, since I'm mostly on board with Giant Bomb because of the personalities of the crew, but to those people who have complained about lack of/poor coverage in the past the possibility of the other staff dropping by should be good news.

I agree, I had them too. Before the stream went live going back to CBS seemed like madness to me! But they seemed happy with it at Dave's house which is what won me over.
1UP really hurt; I don't want to see that happen again!
It's always been part of Giantbomb's identity that they do not care or pretend to care about each and every genre and fan favorite. I don't like the idea of bringing in guys just to have someone that cares.
To be honest, it's the best thing they could have done. I'm amazed they got permission to do it. Makes me feel a lot better about the whole deal, and I've just loaded up www.gamespot.com for the first time since all this shit went down.
Yeah Jeffs enthusiasm on the pancake stream made me way less nervous, he looked super pleased about everything.

Haha, same. I was using a Metroid avatar. What the hell?To be honest, it's the best thing they could have done. I'm amazed they got permission to do it. Makes me feel a lot better about the whole deal, and I've just loaded up www.gamespot.com for the first time since all this shit went down.
That seemed pretty fake TBH. This talk with John was much more genuine and reassuring.
If it stops them from having angry fanboys yell at them on a weekly basis: "WHY DIDN"T YOU COVER TEH LATEST ALTIER EROTICA RPG YOU XBOTS???" I'm all for it.
I'm not going to start to frequent that site again just due to this. I still go to GB from time to time and get my fill as their video content is great. As I said, as long as they remain untouched and do what they do better than GS or anyone else then I'm fine.
So I'm reading on the GB chat that Brad is gone? Where's he going?
I tried to cheer up Rorie in twitter . Got a good reply. Hopefully, they're trying to help him behind the scenes. He worked at Gamespot before as well. They won't just dump him....I hope.
