Hmmmmmm

Fixed for accuracy.

The problem with that is giving Manning keys to the Kingdom doesn't afford you the luxury of grooming talent. You need to win now. If you sign Manning, the only way that is a good signing is if you win the Super Bowl while he is there...so what, the next three years? You need to surround him with talent right now.
Yeah if they are getting Manning you have to try and win now. But they just aren't very talented and it is pretty hard to build the kind of offense he is used to working with in one offseason.

Wallace is gone, no doubt. Roethlisberger now has Antonio brown and Heath miller. That's it. Ouch. Lol
He has done it with less talent than that and Brown > Wallace.

Though I would like to keep them all. Wallace, Brown, Cotchery, Miller and someone who can catch and do something in the backfield = unstoppable*.

* Assuming our line can stay healthy for more than 10 minutes.

It gives Manning three strong looks. Thomas is basically the trouble free version of B. Marshall, Decker would likely slide into the slot, and Wallace would be able to stretch the field. We have one good blocking TE in Fells, and a second year TE that is more of a receiver in Julius Thomas. Good oline. Looks to be a decent offense if they can pull it off.

If McGahee can have a decent year again it adds to the offensive prowess. Seal the deal Elway...

So are the Broncos the favorite again for Peyton Manning? If so damn, I wonder what happened between him and the Titans. Maybe Manning didn't want to be an owner after all..

Two third round picks for Brandon Marshall...

two third round picks.....

Gotta build that west offense Philbin wants:

Dolphins | NFL Draft to fill holes on offense
Fri, 16 Mar 2012 09:40:52 -0700

The Miami Dolphins intend to run a West Coast offense this season and one of their offseason goals is to find a quarterback capable of running it. They will likely turn to the NFL Draft to target the players head coach Joe Philbin wants offensively, as he has noted the Green Bay Packers, his previous team, had their entire offense built through the NFL Draft. Philbin wants something similar to be built in Miami: An offense with his players built around his vision.

Wow, anyone watching ESPN O.J like coverage of Peyton? They have chopper following his white truck. They even have a caption that reads "pursuit of manning".

He had previously been franchise tagged:

"Giants sign punter Steve Weatherford to five-year, $12.75 million deal, per league source."

lmao at Miami lowballing Flynn.

What the fuck is wrong with Ross and Ireland?

They are terrible at their jobs, that's what's wrong with them.

:(

Thank god I quit ESPN, coverage like that would have drive me crazy

You forgot the most important element - you play in a shittastic division. Manning alone would change the dynamic of AFC West for however long he plays...

Excellent. Should free up some more cap space. Glad we wrapped him up long term, too!

This shit is so stupid to me. Because team A got lucky and managed to hit on a bunch of draft picks, that means it is the only/best way to build a team? Teams should use all the methods available to them to build their team. Hell the Packers even signed Woodson as a FA, so its not like they only build through the draft either.

Anybody posted this yet?

@JeffDarlington Jeff Darlington
Peyton Manning personally contacted Dolphins on Thursday to advise them he wouldn't be signing with Miami, multiple sources have told me.

The dream is over :(
BRING ON FLYNN!!!

Free Agency is fine but the problem is teams break the bank to get one flashy player to address one need while gaping holes exist elsewhere.

See: Atlanta.

Also, Woodson was busted when he got to the Bay he was hardly a sure thing.

What's wrong with lowballing? Do you people have any idea on the concept of negotiating? You always start out low.

Makes perfect sense in a two party negotiation. It's a wonderful way to negotiate yourself right out of the discussions when multiple parties are involved.

Since you're apparently an expert in negotiations I'm sure you already knew that though.

I agree about not going crazy or whatever, but you always hear these teams talk about FA like it is the devil. Instead of saying we are going to build through the draft they should say they are going to bring in the best players how ever they can. Building through the draft makes it seem like they are content to take the cheaper option.

Man Denver fans don't believe in shit. I have had my doubts about your franchise and their fanbase ever since 1997. I can't put my finger on it, but I distinctly recall remembering that Elway and your entire fanbase were a bunch of arrogant and racist assholes. I of course base all of my opinions on facts and I even get the feeling that eznark is going to back me up on this one. I softened my opinions of the Broncos in 2006, but it is obvious that the Broncos did not change their ways, that was just Jake the Snake taking the stink off the franchise by humiliating the Pats and then recognizing greatness and allowing Ben to advance to the Superbowl.

But this Manning and now Wallace nonsense is the last straw. Where is your loyalty to the guy who tried to save your franchise? Where is the anger at that big headed asshole Elway for doing everything he could to sabotage Tebow because he is jealous that he is no longer the biggest attraction in Denver.

Well fuck Elway and fuck the entire city of Denver. You deserve Peyton and I hope that you continue to suck and are exposed as the fairweather and faithless fans we all know you to be. I also hope that Wallace scorches your shitty team for 10 TDs when we play you again this year.

I wouldn't have minded having Mario Williams on the Packers but not for $100 mil or whatever absurd contract he got.

I think people say its the devil because oftentimes it caters to teams with shit players, ergo they have lots of cap space/money to blow.

So it caters to the LCD and keeps old n' busted players on the market.

Multiple parties as in who? Seattle? He's not going to Seattle. He's not going to Cleveland. Only reason why Miami is lowballing is because of they think since Philbin is HC, he'll accept whatever offer Miami throws at him.

Apparently you are significantly closer to Flynn than I am. Looks to me like Seattle is a very real possibility.

lol @ Cincinnati choking

What's going on with Lofton? Despite their record the Bucs dont have a ton of needs, but mlb is a position that could use an upgrade.

He is picking out his home in Detroit before they announce his deal. Seems kind of weird, but who am I to complain

Can't believe Cinci is blowing this game

lol.......who's next the Eagles?
Obviously the Giants are going to be next.

The story will be the reunion of the brothers.

Plus it will be a lot easier for Peyton to sexually service Eli's wife if they are both living in New York. Eli gets more kids, his wife stays satisfied within the boundaries of their family. Everyone wins.
