I like how no one in the group seems to care much about young RV guy and that other woman dying.
Anyways I'd prefer there to be no comic book spoilers at all in this thread but that samurai chick's name is ok I guess since we'll probably learn it immediately next season. As long as it just stays on that level then I have no reason I leave. I still remember reading the biggest comic book spoiler imaginable in the series on the first few pages of the season 1 thread so that's one possible epic moment ruined for me and I don't want that to happen to anyone else.

I'm looking over the Walking Dead Wiki's series timeline now. It's crazy how the whole search for Sophia was only 5 days. It seemed way longer than that.
Also... how could Rick have survive as long as he did in the hospital bed? 46 days he was there after Shane "abandoned" him. Really?
e.
idkfa and bfg the whole herd.I was thinking "IDDQD" during that entire scene. Eh.
I'm catching up with the season (just have last two episodes left) but holy shit, this show is such a let down
Things looked promising when second half of season two started but it's just once again devolved into what made the 1st half so lame.
remember when Frank Darabont got fired and the show was doomed? yeah, me either.
prepare to be shocked
I'm still pretty confident that The Walking Dead it the current 'Worst show everybody's watching'.
What do you expect? She's a negligent mother and a floozy. I gather that the hooded character is a favorite from the comics. I don't get the point of the zombie pets, but I'll reserve judgement. I noticed neither one had arms or jaws. I still wanna know, who was in that helicopter?
Wait, the actor that plays Rick is British? MIND BLOWN lol
man, i have so much to read in this thread....fuck dudes. stop talking.

Meh, TWD is not a bad show at all.
Is it bad in the traditional sense? No not at all, it's just incredibly lackluster for everything they COULD have done with it
I said this to myself before, but now I'm enjoying the show more than ever. It could have more action and less talk, but I don't know if that would make the show any better.
They do need to get rid of some characters, and get new and better ones.
No, the balance between action and talking is just fine. It needs better talking.I said this to myself before, but now I'm enjoying the show more than ever. It could have more action and less talk, but I don't know if that would make the show any better.

Oh sir, you are wrong. Oh so wrong. Let's hope Michonne didn't hear you. Oh shit! Here she comes, run!!!

I really couldn't possibly disagree more. What I just read of yours is from an alternate dimension where everything is opposite. The show has been so good in my eyes that the fact that they spent so much time on the farm and I was STILL glued to my seat and entertained as hell is proof enough of how awesome this show is. Not a single episode was boring for me... boring as in changing the channel or doing something else while it's on. My fat ass was glued. I don't nitpick these shows and blow up every little fault as this series-destroying, jumping the shark moment. I've been incredibly entertained throughout.
You can have a slow and deliberate show based on characters without it being fucking boring. It's a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Make the most of that setting for fucks sake.Don't necessarily think it need more action
It just needs more of what makes the premise what it is fundementally. More you know, actual Zombies, more dread, more horror, more desperation, scavaging, etc.
Not ladies pleasantly making dinner for everyone in the kitchen only mentioning "how much the world has changed" and stupid soap opera antics
Basically, I agree with this:

Silly show is silly (but entertaining).
I get why Rick finally snapped, and I don't even blame him for it. However, to off Shane just to turn Rick into him is...a poor decision. Don't get me wrong, I also had a "Hell Yeah" moment when he finally put everyone in their place after all the whining. Yet after thinking about it, I felt Rick could have delivered the same message without sounding so ruthless. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if his character change will make the show better or worst.
For me, I think one of the biggest problems in the show is the lack of tension (which was there in the first season), and that stems from a disconnect with the characters. The writers have done a superb job alienating the audiences from the cast, so much so that I was more interested in who they were getting rid of, instead of who was going to survive the attack. I couldn't even remember one instance where I was actually in fear for them, especially not the more well liked characters (Rick, Darryl, Glen). It's really a shame.
So they've made it a fact that these zombies groan/moan/growl constantly (they are not exactly quiet). It bothers me that they can still sneak up on people so easily.
Finale was just mediocre, but at least they are on the move again. However, I do wish they have a clear goal. I'm finding the idea of survival is getting old because honestly, most of them can die and I wouldn't shed a tear.
Rick didn't send Jimmy to death. He didn't know he would get immediately overrun. Also it was Darryl who asked Jimmy to drive the RV over to the barn to see if Rick set the fire and if he's there.I feel sorry for the dude in the RV that rick sent to his death to save himself and his son. It was out of character but when the shit came down he did it.
The reason Beth didn't react much to Jimmy's death is because it was basically an arranged relationship because there was no one else. She was not in love with him. She said/implied this a couple episodes ago, you might have missed it.The real problem is none of these characters got much character development, of course. Jimmy got literally none. Patricia got to be upset about Otis. Beth got her own little episode.
How exactly did the zombie horde find them? They started chasing the helicopter and picked up more followers like a snowball? Sure, why not...![]()
Well she was introduced in the worst way. The thing I like about zombie fiction is the idea that it could happen and seeing how normal people would survive. A girl with a hood and two armless zombies chained to her hardly fits in with the verisimilitude that the rest of the show goes for. I'll be happy to be wrong, but that introduction did nothing for me, other than prompt me to roll my eyes.

I wondered, after rewatching the pilot yesterday: Wonder if anyone goes back into Atlanta and takes off with that Tank.
Really, there looked to be tons of military vehicles all over the place, both in the city, and around where Rick was in the Hospital.

Dunno about the tank, but yeah, any sturdy vehicle would probably be snatched up or, barring that, be siphoned of its fuel

A timeline of events, up until leaving the barn.
Day 60, Rick wakes up
Day 82, group leaves farm
Tanks like that get about 5 miles a gallon. Plus the regular maintenance. I don't think it's going to make it out of the city if someone did try to drive off with it.
