If we're gonna queue as a group can we maybe talk about picks a little, also shouting down Mumble isn't productive at all.
 
Finally started playing with real people online. 2-0 so far, I thought I was bad, but man some people are terrible at this game, I'd highly recommend playing against bots for a while before jumping right in.

This is why I keep trying to get my friends into the matchmaking. They don't want to leave bot games because they're worried they'll be a hindrance to their team. If only they knew...

yes I know, people don't wanna play with bots first and you find dudes at like their first game in any moba.
 
I'm definitely looking forward to this, especially given Chinese and SE Asian involvement in competitions has dropped off rapidly after the International. Will be interesting to see how they respond to the heavy pushing emphasis of late. Could perhaps be seeing a lot of Dragon Knight, good push/antipush carry and he sounded popular in the east a few months ago.

Still guessing at least Lycan tomorrow for the test.

All this dire lovin makes me think they'll atleast show pity and add sylla with lycan. That and the ability icons.

I played with a guy that played Chen in lane, instead in jungle. We asked him what's the point of him playing a hero that's dependent on creep spells with out creeps. He said its how he plays Chen. I'm not a pro but I am pretty sure Chen is not a last hit lane guy.
 
I had an epic match with some GAFfers. It was one guy's first game, I was playing a new hero, and the other guys had like multiple 100+ win people on their team. They were pounding our base at around the 20 minute mark, but we managed to come back. We still lost, but we had some amazing pushes and we gave them a run for their money. The final kill score was something like 50-15, but we managed to survive for almost an hour and had a real shot at winning at some points.

Haha, Nature's Prophet is fun to play. Can't believe they let me take their top tower and Bot tower with all their aggressive plays :P
 
I had an interesting match the other day in which my friend, who's new was completely sucking and one of our teammates basically lost it on the voice chat (queue dat DOTA ire- F bombs..fag this...etc..)). I told the guy to relax and that my friend was new and his personality completely 180'd. He then proceeded to apologize profusely to my friend ("I'm so sorry...I didn't know you were new...I'd never knowingly yell at a beginner like that ...my bad.." ). He was then super nice the rest of the game ...I commended him as well..

Was a bit bummed to see mTw drop both of their games today after beating CLG yesterday with the same lineup. I'd like to see them be competitive again but it just isn't working out for them.

edit: Morphling becoming popular, picked again.
 
Yeah, it's been a long fall from Dreamhack, even then there were significant cracks starting to show in the team's foundation. Can't see Synd leaving the scene anytime soon if he still has a desire to play, but mtw's fate kinda seems up in the air at present (even if he wants to stay).

- Added Lycan!
- Enabled Shadow Demon in Captain's Mode.
- The Stable version is now updated to the Latest version.
- Added All Random game mode for private lobbies.
- Alchemist: Fixed Acid Spray killing couriers.
- Batrider: Fixed Flamebreak not having an aoe targeting cursor.
- Beastmaster: Fixed Wild Axes killing couriers.
- Bounty Hunter: Fixed illusions procing Jinada's critical strike.
- Clinkz: Fixed a bug with level 2 Death Pact not gaining the .5% damage buff.
- Mirana: Fixed Arrow getting blocked by Linken's Sphere.
- Morphling: Added timer to Replicate that shows up as a buff.
- Outworld Destroyer: Fixed Astral Imprisonment stealing Intelligence from illusions.
- Outworld Destroyer: Fixed Astral Imprisonment being castable on Warlock Golem.
- Queen of Pain: Fixed being able to dispell Shadow Strike
- Razor: Fixed Static Charge damaging friendly units and towers. Note that towers can still proc the ability.
- Razor: Fixed Static Link damage from being purgable.

- Fixed gold over time being very slightly off sometimes.
- Fixed Smoke of Deceit not showing movement speed in the stats area

UI
- Added setting for ambient creatures in the Advanced Video Settings.
- Advanced Video Settings is now versioned and will automatically update this release
- Undroppable items are no longer put in the stash when near the fountain.
- Items will no longer move when they are attempted to be picked up by a unit with a full inventory.
- The courier can no longer pick up certain items (Aegies, Rapier).
- Hooked up XP graph button.
- There is now a different ring effect for the primary unit when you have multiple units selected.
- Fixed second courier not being controllable if enabled by a courier
- Fixed bug where you could cast your ultimate by pressing either the Ability 4 or Ability 5 keys, on a 4 ability hero.
- Added setting to draw hero icons as default in the minimap. Alt will show X's and O's.

BOTS
- Increased bot ability usage reaction time by about 50%.
- Fixed bug where bots would pick up or destroy teammates' items on the ground.
- Increased bot desire to defend their base.
- Fixed nasty bug that would often cause bots to idle in their current location when wanting to go defend.
- Bots now get an added desire to attack a hero that Bane has Gripped.
- Bots no longer random their heroes. They will now try to build a somewhat reasonable team comp based on hero role, stuns, and melee/ranged, and do so over the entire hero selection phase.
- Reworked bot lane selection logic. They should be smarter about which lanes they select, and who they pair with.
- Changed how human pings affect the bots' desires to push/defend. Should be more consistently powerful now.
- Bots in lanes with carries will try to avoid stealing their farm.
- Fixed a few cases where bots would oddly try to cast abilities at neutral creeps (such as when pushing or defending a lane).

VISUALS
-Improvements made to some of Shadow Demon's effects.

Also another patch with just a single hero and some bug fixes. Still find it funny that Heavens Halbeard still doesn't have an icon, and the Regen Rune Bottle image is still messed up.
 
Jeez Ikuu, always the downer.

To be fair, if they keep this pace until all heroes are released, it means Dota 2 won't reach parity for over a year.

I'm hoping after a while they'll be done with features and can focus purely on heroes... but I also suspect art is the biggest thing holding heroes back, and finishing features won't speed up art production. Waw wawwww.
