I watched every minute of every Bronco game (including preseason) this year. Tebow came in at the right time (shit was stagnating with Orton). I know that Tebow is wildly inaccurate, and his religion rubs people the wrong way especially him bringing it to the forefront after/during games. But the dude left it all out on the field.
When the time came for him to make some throws, he did. He picked up yardage on the ground when he needed to. It wasn't pretty, and the defense and Prater gave him significant help, but goddamn was it a fun and memorable season.
The win over the Steelers in overtime is one of my favorite Bronco moments outside of the stuff Elway did. So for me (and I assume) other Bronco fans it's hard to see him go. You don't have a magical season like that and immediately transition to the new guy without some feelings and trepidation.
I still think he has a ton of room for improvement and will be a serviceable qb at some point. The guy is pretty relentless and I think if anyone can pull it off, he can. Maybe I'm delusional and he is garbage, but goddamit he was our garbage and when the time came for him to step up he delivered.
