It's weird hearing these things. It's not like it isn't true with the per capita murder rate, but when you live here, you know where to avoid. Tourists and people stuck in bad neighborhoods are the ones in real danger. Issue for tourists is that the city is like a checkerboard, if you don't know what streets to avoid you can literally walk from a safe historic area into a war zone and into another safe area inside of 5 blocks.

People in third world countries don't have the food we do. Or Wal Marts.

Headed back to the office daily soon. Gonna have to replace the Sport Trac I have, not becauseo of mileage, but because it will guzzle gas like a bitch. Looking at either an Edge or maybe the 2013 Escape once that hits. Escape gets the better mileage and the 2013 one looks "sporty" but if I can swing it I think I'd like to go with the Edge.
