Is there a wallet system on the App Store or do I have to buy iTunes cards?

Don't know what you mean, but if you don't have iTunes credit, you pay the exact app price with your credit card or Paypal funds. If you have an iTunes card, you redeem it and that amount gets credited to your iTunes account

Retina iPhone apps on iPad 2 was a bit weird, in that you usually ended up with retina graphics without scaling (the iPad 1/2's resolution is still larger than iPhone retina, but not by much) but text would be rendered at standard 1x rather than retina. This didn't happen with RetinaPad (requires jailbreak) and doesn't happen on the 3rd gen iPad at all.
Yeah it depended on the assets and how it drew them, really unpredictable what you'd end up with.
How's the game in general? $20 is steep to take a flier on, but I would probably buy it if there were positive impressions here.
Probably too heavy for me (last strategy game I got into was Advance Wars) but from what I've heard it's pretty good, maybe not super hardcore compared to other PC ones, but still way beyond other iOS ones. Cool part is that it appears to have feature parity with the other versions, like there's cross platform play and you can load the user scenarios or something.

Do you mean like preload with credit and spend from that? I guess you can sort of do it by buying yourself iTunes gift credit and removing whatever payment method you used for that.

Hi there, new iPad owner.

What are the best (Top Ten?) free iPad games?

Personally i think the difference between paid and free games is night and day. Your better off getting an iTunes card.

But having said that there is top quality free games.

-Shadow Era TCG
-Cabals Online card game
-Assassins Creed Recollection
-Jetpack Joyride
-Robotek
-Dice Soccer
-The Sims Free2Play
-Card Combat

I can't make it to 10 sorry, i have being through dozens of shit. Anything with instrusive ads or anything that forces me to spend money i instantly delete.

Watch out for Hero Academy, its getting a Universal update soon.

Any good Feedback for Fibble, the iOS Crytek game that has just been released (I am specifically willing to know how it plays on the new iPad as well)?

Man, I'm so bad at Hero Academy (fuck you Smiley90) but it's so fun. Sadly I missed the Dark Elves sale. What's in the next update, another race or just Universal/retina update?

Edit: Add me, if you're new to the game:

Paying the exact app price just goes to show how shitty the microsoft and nintendo online shops are and how they are out to eye gouge you at all times... setting games at 400 points and each block of points at 500 and 1000 points... they wouldn't get away with it, if they did it today.

Haha yes, it's getting slitghly embarrasing to have that in my portfolio when I'm trying to hype my new hardcore games. It's pretty crappy but it was fun making it and good for a laugh; though the android version is where it's at; I had to censur and change it a lot to get it through apple's review

Should I be embarrased that I bought it immediately after seeing the screenshots?

I can't resist Dynamic Trouser Technology.

Had a blast with 'bring me my sandwiches'. Love the look of the game. This game deserves more love.

Now playing: 'Monsters ate my condo' and 'Monster Flip'. Very addicting stuff!

Interesting how upon first trying the arcade mode of New Star Soccer I wasn't a fan at all, but decided to try the career mode anyway and absolutely loved it... however, having won the Premier League (or even before that) I got utterly bored of it, and am now enjoying the arcade mode far more!

Started The Bards Tale - first time playing it. Fucking awesome. These guys "get it." Major props to them.
They got it, in 2004 :P. An excellent game that's about 8-9 hours long depending on how much you complete. Shame some achievements are bugged currently and won't trigger.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Tonight my company is releasing Amoebattle, an RTS game on iOS. It is a story-driven experience at the moment, no multiplayer.

  • Universal app.
  • iPad Retina ready.
  • Cost is $4.99
  • Game Center enabled.

Trailer (we're hopefully getting a better one cut today): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw6WFb9kliE

All that. I don't know about universal, but I understand it to be iPad 3 Retina and a new race.

PS. Get your arse to HA thread :)

I'm sure the 3ds shop lets customers pay exact amounts.

Microsoft is dumping the points system by the end of the year and going with exact monetary transactions after that.

To celebrate Easter sQuiz: Reel Trivia is FREE till Monday! First time FREE! We've recently updated the game with new iPAD retina graphics. It's still unfinished at the moment - we want to add some multiplayer in but the single player is in there and there's approximately 1500+ questions in total which we've written ourselves. It's a game made by my brother and I.

Please help us and write a good review on iTunes if you like the game. Being in Australia, its really hard to get US reviews on the iTunes store. We haven't sent it out to review sites yet as we're going to wait until we get some multiplayer in.

Thanks everyone!

Btw, the game is meant to be hard, but you can make it easier by playing with your family and friends. Works amazing with the Apple TV and a bunch of people :p

I... don't even wanna ask what you censored out.

Still getting the hang of more advanced tricks in Monster Flip but it's very fun. Dat PikPok polish. It will also combo as a new puzzle game for my mother to play on her iPad, showed it to her and she liked it.

It took a while, but the new Super Crate Box update will be out later today! :)

Fibble is fun. The game is a little light on content, but the puzzles eventually do scale up to become fairly challenging.

The lighting model and cinematic camera effects make it a technical showpiece in a way that's different to UE3 (which tends to use offset, normal, and specular maps to great effect on its typically detailed models).

Will download and review. I love trivia, got the you don't know jack and movie cat games. It's really a genre that's being ignored.
