2012 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Don't Use Imgur

Those uber-sampled TW2 shots:

I had ~25fps with two OCed 560 tis and a 2600k@4.6, using uber and mostly max settings at 2560x1440. Then I got to I think chapter 3 with the burning battlefield and whatnot and it was constantly sub 20 so I said f it.

An OCed 7970 should surely manage min 30 fps using the same settings I think.

I love The Darkness II's art. The tech isn't anything amazing, but the art is gorgeous and consistent throughout. One of the best "comic book in motion" games ever.

Which GPU does it take to have a decent framerate with ubersampling? A 680/7970?

I have a GTX 570 and it's unplayable. Always sub-30fps, often in the teens.

I tried it, the framerate was all over the place. Mostly over 30 fps but the fluctuations ruined the game. I was forcing triple buffered vsync, maybe if I limited the framerate to 30 fps it would be more enjoyable but I chose framerate over IQ in that case.

Now with ubersampling, much to the distress of my framerate.

At 1440p, and with 2xUbersampling, it's 10-20fps on my 570.

Jesus, those Witcher 2 shots are pretty much approaching bullshot/perfect IQ territory. I wonder how long it'll take until a GPU that can handle uber+60fps is released lol

I want it so bad (I need F1 in my veins) but I don't have enough moneys for those kind of games (which never go on good sales, grrr)

what so brilliant about it?
Do you not see the beautiful architecture lines, the natural character in the details, the depth coming from the lighting decisions, the tasteful restraint to make the lush texture work cohesive, and the truly phenomenal and rarely seen harmony of color interaction while not being garish nor forced into to a basic color cast?

Supersampled DX11 Crysis 2 and ubersampled The Witcher 2. Consoles, are you even trying?

EC you're not really making the wait till EE any easier, fucker. I haven't played Witcher 2 since last summer. Dying to get back into it.

Please tell me you're just taking pics with those settings and not actually playing it that way :P

Yeah, it's one of those games I like to start up and mess around in a lot.
A LOT

I'm loving this game, but some of the parts feel annoying. Maybe it's the controls or something, but I can't seem to get a hang of them well enough to just trounce everyone like I feel I should. And there seems to be some jaggies that'll always be there. :(
