Wii U Speculation thread IV: Photoshop rumors and image memes

I dunno. Do you think it's possible that the handheld/tv interface paradigm could catch fire and cause supply/demand issues? Best case scenario for Nintendo is that we might have to wait until next year.

Man, I didn't consider that. I hope not.

I wonder when they're gonna finalize their hardware. And how many units will be available for Launch. I could see there being a tighter supply than was available for the Wii. The hunt for a Wii U could be a pretty tight, crazy contest later in the year. I'm sure Nintendo would love the coverage, but damn that might get frustrating.

Are you ready to be depressed again??

Then once E3's been and gone, we have to likely wait FIVE MORE MONTHS before we can get our hands on the thing.

I am pretty certain that after E3 and a day or so of NeoGAF browsing, I will leave the internet until November 18th. Actually, then I'll have the Wii U and will be playing it instead of net nerding.
After E3, I'm going to hit my play list pretty hard before the U arrives. It should help with making the time fly by.

Well, that isn't necessarily the case…

Nintendo E3 2012 said:
The waiting game is over for video game enthusiasts in the United States as Nintendo of America Thursday announced the immediate availability of its much-anticipated Nintendo Wii U system.

The early launch of the high-end video game system was fueled by tremendous consumer demand ignited by phenomenal sales in Japan.

Consumers nationwide can now enter new realms of interactive entertainment with Nintendo Wii U, the ultimate video game system that brings totally new immersive gaming experiences into the home.

Haha, tbh unless the Wii U comes with KILLER first party game(s) at launch, the wait won't be that bad for me. I just want to know more about the console at this point!

For the hypetrain, sadist, if you could find a late version from Nibel, before the addition of too much elements in the space (just the simple train but with 3 or 4 carts), then people absent in this one will be satisfied :)

Nah, this is the best version :P

I actually think they'll keep releasing more titles for the Wii.
It makes sense for them to keep both alive. Wii U becomes the deluxe set, the regular Wii the cheapie (and there is still a big marked for software there).
I just really hope they include both the wiimote and the nunchuck in the package, making the console that much greater.

How likely do y'all think that is?

I missed that one. :P Link?

It was in the early stages of the hype train project, before it got really going and everybody jumped in, so there are only a few additions at this point.

Actually, now that I look at it, I think your avatar was the only one I added in this one. I had another version where I popped in a few random avatars, but I guess that was separate.

I like that one a lot. Looks like Jake is watching over the train from Heaven. :)

I don't think they're officially confirmed yet, but going by past patterns, they seem pretty dead-on. I'm confident to the point where I've already turned-in my time off paperwork at work for that day and the following day so that I can sit my butt at home with you guys to offer goofy commentary and screams at the computer screen. Gonna be fun! :)
I'd love to have everything clear, but I have an exam at that exact hour. I can't miss it. Even if it started an hour before I could find a way to see it but, alas...

No worries.. you can always watch it later. There will still be TONS of fun to be had in the hours and days immediately following.

Indeed, now that I think about it.. I'd rather get that exam done early in the week so that it isn't hovering over you for the entire E3 week. You'll get it over and done, and then you'll be free to verbally frolic with us here, haha..

You could stream it to your cellphone, audio only, while taking the test.

Good luck getting that passing grade…

(edit: ooh, coming up on the 3% mark!)

haha I feel special. :P

Seems hype has died for now. Pretty much not getting anything till E3.
Speculation will continue of course, but it seems we are converging on the the details.

The hype really is at least 75% of the fun.

Also, anything involving the gaming-news-induced tears of Sony or MS fans. Gets the selfish Nintendo geek inside me all giddy and squealy.

Ehh. I doubt tears from that crowd. They're dug-into their positions at this point. No matter what Nintendo shows this year, it will be regarded as something possible on the PS360.

So remind me what and when the next Nintendo-related news event is? Nintendo Direct for Koreans (probably irrelevant to us) and the Fiscal Year wrap-up on the...26th, was it? Is that all we have to look forward to before E3?
