Wow, Skullgirls is the ugliest game I have ever seen.

It's definitely a good thing. No other game has bothered to explain hit-confirms, pokes, mix-ups to me ever. I've always had to learn that shit from SRK or gaf or something.
Its pretty well animated, but I am not the biggest fan of some of the character designs...
Now style-wise, there you might have a point. I can't decide if I like it or not.
They've gone with a style that suits motion, and is poorer for being static. Case in point: the Lesson Select screen is horrid to look at, with that static image of the teacher so big on the screen. But so long as it's animating, it's great to look at.
says you (i'm probably just used to seeing kinuko's art, which has never been animated before this game)
Is this person's art usually this expressive and exaggerated? It seems like it was made to be animated, because of how much is it those things. They picked a good artist for a fighter anyway, ha.
Sounds like someone isn't a fan of BBWs.Wow, Skullgirls is the ugliest game I have ever seen.

Skullgirls is like the inverse of SFxT. SFxT is a good looking fighter wrapped in horrible bullshit while Skullgirls is a kinda oogly looking fighter with a lot of smart interface and UI stuff around it.
Except for the movelist thing. That's crazy.
Did you play Shattered Memories? Same artist who did the art for the joke/UFO ending there.
I'd post a link to the old art blog that she, Paul Robertson, and three other artists (at least two of whom also worked on SG, I think) shared and still infrequently update, but it's extremely NSFW.

Brad hate? I don't even understand the concept.
I bet it has something to do with that Namco patent thing they mentioned.
That's something I'd be interested in finding out. You can patent tutorials in fighting games? Harada-san getting good use out of the Battle Lab patent, then.

I'm going to have to shiv you now edgefusion. No offence.
It's because all girls want his skull.Ryan dropping truth bombs about ME3's ending on twitter (like a month late, but whatever)
Also, Brad in the credits for Skullgirls, what?
It's because all girls want his skull.
Jeez, 15 minutes of dicking around in a tutorial? Really guys?...
Compelling content.

Pretty good stuff actually, considering fighting games are not known for their tutorial.
More interesting than them just randomly hitting buttons, which was what the actual fighting portion came down to. Though Jeff kind of knew what he was doing.
When there are plenty of other people not on vacation, going to events, or having kids, I'm sure Brad would be more than happy to sit one out.Are we ever gonna have another Quick Look that doesn't have Brad involved? He's been in virtually every single one since the start of the year, or at least it feels like it. I've really disliked the dude ever since he shitted up the GOTY deliberations with his stupid arguments. Does he have nothing else to do at GB other than be in Quick Looks?
[/Brad hate]
Watching tutorials doesn't give you a good idea of what the game is like at all and isn't that the whole point of Quick Looks? I don't mind a little bit of it, but it's literally over half the quick look of them going through a tutorial. From an entertainment perspective it's about as compelling as watching paint dry.
YupDamn it, I thought the bump was for Trials Evolution. Oh well, this'll do, piggy. This'll do.
Yup
Will watch SG one later though.

I haven't seen much of this game and all they are showing is them trying out combos, great thanks. It's basically like watching a friend study for a test you don't have to take. I'd prefer if they did that kind of stuff before the quick look started.
