Damn, there are a lot of cool things on that site. I didn't know about it. Cheers! Got a good laugh seeing damon hill holding up michael schumacher for ages then letting frentzen straight past in the "best backmarker moments" list

Yeah, it's a pretty good website. Used to be a tumblr blog I believe.

I personally really like this one: http://wtf1.co.uk/back-in-time-newey-spying-on-ferrari-for-60-years/

John love pushing his cooper 500, as far as i can tel the wheels are 15 inches, I'm thinking I'll put my bonus question answer on him. I've seen the 4'9 figure a few places.

Some choice complaints about F1 on the BBC.

Normal BBC1 programmes suspended on Saturday morning and replaced by Formula 1 . ( How many viewers are actually interested? ) Not even for the racing as this was only for a practice !! Outrageous.
I agree, the appeal of F1 is one of life's great mysteries - why does it have to be on BBC1 & the red button at the same time.
The race itself is boring enough for me not to care who wins, but the qualifying is stupifying.

Saturday morning on the BBC is a no-go zone for me - patronising kids programmes on one side, and the vacuous food programmes on the other. F1 qualifying is NOT an improvement.
No sleeping tablets required when F1 is on.
The biggest mystery to me is that the actual race on Sunday is televised THREE times in one day!, once live at 7 - 10.15am, repeated at 2.50 - 5.00pm, repeated again at 7 - 8pm on BBC2 and also BBC HD.
If that's not complete overkill then I don't know what is.

Britain does not deserve the BBC. Come to Australia, we will love you And underfund you, but only because there are not many people here.

guess where am I going?

nooo..!!

NNOOoooo!!!

Yes! Bahrain GP! I just bought tickets for me and my wife, we're staying at our friend's place. It's called Barbar, double Bars how bad could that be?! :D .. I kid , it's one of the hottest villages according to him on Bodayea road

Can't wait! He told me to be prepared for tear-gas and shit.. this is gonna be exciting..

I'm travelling tomorrow

..and?

My point was not that they're carrying machine guns, but that they're militia dressed as F1 drivers. Indicating that they're well aware that it's going on and using it to gain publicity.

I didn't mean it that way. I'm just floored its going ahead with so much potential for disaster.

To be fair, this one is completely reasonable. In the age of the iPlayer, schedules should feature far less repeats.

MJ, you are mad for going.

I was in Lebanon in 2005 when the "Israeli Invasion" took place, how worse would this be?

Fuck. There's two Deadmans/Dead Mans, and you're both from Australia? How fucking confusing.

Hey guys, I just created a twitter account @MyoclonicJ

I'll be updating you LIVE from the WARZONE!!

The only GAF correspondent in Bahrain
Will add you when I can. On the off chance I completely forget, I'm @therealshaneus
You other folk can follow me too if you like. I swear I don't (just) talk about Webber (much).

Slightly off-topic but where abouts do you live?

To be fair, in the age of the iplayer, the BBC realises most people still watch the TV, and the live race was on quite early, so repeat it in the afternoon around the time European races are on. The other repeat was highlights, on a different channel. people should stop their moaning.

Will add you now.

I've created this account just for you guys, coz I don't think I'll be able to post on the forum unless I'm back to my friend's house.

So I'll use twitter to communicate with you and share some pics :D

I'm sure you'll be more interested in the country itself than the race. I know my way around Bahrain. Been there for few races

Will try to go to the villages where shit is happening

Woah, don't put yourself in harms way man. Just watch the race and take lots of Webber pics. You can ignore that Raikokokonen fella

Word of warning: I don't read Twitter as much as I used to, but I'll do my best to follow. Those of you without Twitter, use this:

Jerk needs to rock up in a Mr. Whippy van.

In fact, I think Kimi's future would be in this:

(God bless Australian 80s comedy)

I noticed someone hit me up for the answer as well... I have no idea :(

BTW How did so many get in the GAF group? I figured it would be mostly regulars from this year and the past few... but there are way, way more than that.

Lots of lurkers.

The Race Manager answer is
John Love

Ok I added you. Now I'm following you and Stephen Fry.

There's a huge burn here for Jerk but it's too early in the AM for me to deliver.

@Jerk, be careful and don't take risks. I have a buddy who lived in Yemen covering the revolution and when things go bad they go bad in the blink of an eye. Your Kimi Koverage isn't worth any big risks! Or any at all really. In fact it's terrible. : P
