I don't know what's going on here for the umpteenth time, but I need to chime in at this point in time and tell of the gentlepeople remotely above this post that they're awesome.

Also if anyone is in need of a psychiatrist I'm gonna punch the number in now so just tell me when to press 'dial'.

Now for gif where I don't know what's happening either

(Wait thos thread is almost at the 50% mark? GAF have mercy)

Thanks. Yours faithfully, the secret man.

So secret I can't see the secret?

Well, I can and for your pleasure I will translate this important piece of information (LOL):

"Our secret inside source confirmed to us that the Wii U GPU is more powerfull than the xbox360/ps3 GPUs. It is only the CPU that is somewhat behind. But the final hw could feature a more powerful CPU. It is still early to tell, but it is clear that the Wii U should have better visuals than the current consoles"

"Our secret inside source told us a secret. We said we wouldn't tell anyone this secret but, here's the secret. Wii U's GPU is more powerful, but shh, its a secret. Don't tell anyone this secret, because its a secret. We'd probably get ninja'd if you told anyone else this secret. So keep it a secret. Also, did I mention its a secret that's suppose to be secret?

SECRET!"

SUPER SECRET

Hey, delete that quote by IceDoesntHelp so they don't get banned for posting secrets.
You read my mind! I don't want to lose any more of y'all before E3 starts. You guys and gals are my NintenFamily.. gotta stick around so we can trade Friend Codes in November!

Sounds like some of the methodology incorporated by Nintendo's ninja branch in the past.

They are internally referred to as Nintenja's®
and they mean business.

If you could see from the angle of a dev doing an interview, a Nintenja® can sometimes be spotted in their peripheral vision (on purpose) to remind them to keep their mouth shut in favor of keeping their head. NDA's with Nintendo are signed in blood.

Oh crap, how do I delete?
Don't tell on him plz.
It's our little secret.

I'll give you my friend code any day, if you know what I mean.

I'm familiar with that technique. It's fun to mess with people.

SUPER SECRET

Are we talking Victoria level?

Friend Codes

Get it together man! These things are supposed to be a thing of the past with Wii U.

I knew that the little Friendly mention wouldn't get by you guys, haha!

(see, Nintendo Ninjas watching this thread? Pay attention, and when you return to your bosses tell them that we still hate Friend Codes!)

Are we talking Victoria level?
Sounds naughty. Tommy likey.
Tommy want wingy!

Is that what you want (;

Did they find our secrets ):
Probably. They have a knack for that. You know how Nintendo gets sued all the time for supposedly stealing other companies' ideas? It's the Ninjas at work. It's true, but Nintendo has a crack legal team, so they get-away with it.

So that idea you had for a game.. if it's good, watch: Nintendo will make a game with one of their franchises featuring your game's mechanic(s).

Maybe they'll make that steampunk-era stealth game set in Paris that I've always wanted..

OF COURSE IT IS!

Sounds like something leaked from 01.net.

Just wanted to second what someone else said about 'what if they offered patches to upscale certain Wii games into HD would you pay?' Heck yes. But I'd be a bit upset and obviously once again question why upscaling wasn't included to begin with? I'd be surprised but anything's possible I guess after the announcement to update the 3DS FW for patching MK 7.

GameplayWhore said:
Only thing of note after that is "#8969, Plantronics (headset company) hiring for possible Wii U peripheral development"

Thanks!

Muahaha, finally I'm Supa Solo

Oh no, I Miss You Already

Seriously....erm...so how 'bout that Wii-U thingamajing, will it like play games and stuff?
Since I got silently laughed at last time I asked I'll do it again: any chance the Wii-U will not rip my heart (=wallet) apart by allowing imported games to play? Looking at Wii and 3DS I know why people silently laugh :{

I miss you too

Its been confirmed by anonymous sources that would like to remain secret that the Wii-U can play games.
Honestly, don't get your hopes up for Region Free gaming, I'd love for it to happen, but alas ):

So I heard from my uncle's coworker's friend's friend's friend's dad twice removed that the Wii U will come with a Reggie channel, chalk full of Reggie pics.

Ya but I'm gonna miss you Longer!

*sigh* Why is Nintendo the only company insiting on locking, and why do they have to be the ones I like >_> We need a Heart to Heart talk Ninty!
At least import prices atm are stupid anyways, so for the time being it's not that big of a loss.

(mixing real talk with the pop, it ain't so easy)

But what about the other regions? Japan would probably get a strand of Iwata hair with each system...EU? Does Shibata's hair count, that impostor?

Only 5 days left til the Fiscal Year Earning Release/Call!!!

All aboard the hype train

NintendoCar.gif

Someone needs to put Satoru Shibata's face over Yamauchi's.

I have a strong feeling that we're going to see a lot more of Shibata in the coming future generation, seeing as how Europe is now important to Nintendo.

Hey, guys, I'm just checking in every couple hours and was wondering when the parade of stupid is gonna end so we can actually go back to the regular speculation? Do I need to de-Iwatafy my avatar, is that what did it?

Just wanted to second what someone else said about 'what if they offered patches to upscale certain Wii games into HD would you pay?'

In truth, it doesn't seem that important. Would a higher resolution really affect the game?

Hmm, I just looked up "upscaling", to be certain. It doesn't even mean rerendering at a higher resolution, it's just some sort of screen-stretching method. Don't TVs do that anyway?

I'd say its Easy.
I'm not positive if Nintendo will actually stick with Region Locking for the Wii U. Tell me is the Wii region locked for Gamecube games, or am I just asking a stupid question?

Also, give me five!

Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to my new useless hype fuel; The Hype Recap!

In this new segment, I will recap one E3 hype moment from our memories. They won't be placed in order of scale on the hype meter, or in chronological order this will be completely random.

I don't have a clear schedule, so I don't know if I'll do it once a day or every 2 days or whatever until E3. Plus, I'd like to know first if you guys like the idea to pass the time.

Hype Recap #1: The Angel Returns

Our first stop is E3 2010.

Nintendo had the intention to reveal their new weapon, the Nintendo 3DS at that year's E3. At the same time, a rumour about a new Kid Icarus game was floating around the internet for quite some time. The rumour said the game would be for the Wii, and some concept art did emerge to the surface, but little did we know that the first game of the newly formed Project Sora studio under Masahiro Sakurai would actually be for the new handheld. And featuring Pit.

GAF's Reaction: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=21869498&highlight=kid+icarus#post21869498

Seeing a Nintendo character back after 15 years of absence truly was a thing of beauty. People were impressed. The good graphics, the gameplay, the rock music in the background. Today the game is released and the quality of the game actually lives up to the hype this moment brought us (IMO).

So, I want to know, guys. Should I continue with this or is it completely useless?

That hurt ):

I'd say continue, its a nice read and could get us to actually, you know talk about stuff.

I was referring more to the assault of jokey fake news and dumb gifs. That's what got the entire thread in trouble less than a week ago. Apparently people forgot about that already.

Ah fair enough. We should get back on track though.
Are you saying my "I Love You" gif is stupid ):
You think this could make a good thread?

Anybody else thinking like him?

Now now, I don't know about a thread.

Keep at it! Love strolls down memory lane.

You think this could make a good thread?

Anybody else thinking like him?

The fact that the 3DS Nintendo Direct news last night was actually relevant to the Wii U discussion here lends me to believe that we could get insight in our speculation by examining Nintendo's past recent E3 efforts.

Keep at it! Love strolls down memory lane.

Yeah it's nice BY2K.

Then again I clicked on the thread link and went ha, then scrolled up a bit to see camineet and Defective Reject in grey and sobbed :{

Who, and what did they do?

herzogzwei before the rename!
(can't even quote, lol 4 AM)
Never really found out the reason for the ban, think it was a bit screaming around in capslock in one of the WiiU<PS360 threads, shouldn't be perma imuo (in my useless opinion).

I had class during that year's Nintendo conference. I missed out on everything but caught up later. Keep up the work BY2K!

BY2K:

Here's what I figure: there are some who may have seen Event A, Incident B, Happening C, etc etc.. but one person might've missed B, while another might've missed H. The more that folks know, the better it is for conversations, jokes, etc.

So I like. A lot. Quite a service for NintendoGAF, or for those who want to get into Nintendo. Thanks!
