I have a hulk question for those that have seen it:

Would you say that the trailers are an adequate representation of what he does in this movie? Or would you say it's nothing compared to what he does in this this movie.

it will definitely cross the mark. I don't think it has the fanatical support of tweens like the THG and twilight but positive word of mouth will get it past 300 million here.

$500 million international is probably a done deal at this rate, made $36 million in 2 days in like 12 countries. It's the weekday too. This weekend is gonna be crazy.

Now that is a good bet to take. It could go either way with betting it would overtake Spidey 3 at the box office.

Betting that it will make more than $300 million domestic is a cakewalk. Guessing how high international will go is a ballsy move.

Does this go for how they treat Thor in the movie?

IM, Hulk and Loki all looked amazing heading in, but given I'm mainly going for Thor I've been kinda worried he would be kinda drowned out by the rest of the cast.

I am not part of that bet, but that is the most fair and reasonable bet I have found over box office stuff on here. Could go either way.

I have an avatar bet going with someone about how Hobbit will outgross Dark Knight Returns worldwide. Cannot remember whom it was with though.

Feeling really confident about this bet, don't believe for a second that Avengers will surpass SM3.

I also have a bet going with Tobor about whether Joss Whedon directing The Avengers will be used in any promotional material for any of his upcoming films, should be interesting to see how that goes (I betted that it wouldn't).

I was tagging along with some friends, didn't expect much from the movie apart from Transformers-like action.

Was quite surprised how good of a movie it was. Though only really cared for Iron Man and Hulk.

Spoiler:
could have watched Hulk smashing Loki around for the whole rest of the movie, so good


Loki seemed like a whiny, weak bitch in the Thor movie, he was better portrayed in this one imo.


3D was very good, I enjoyed Scarlet's ass popping into your view for like one minute haha

Heh, bets all over the place. I'm sticking with my prediction/avatar bet of it not breaking $250m in the US.

Everything I've heard about the movie from people's opinion I respect is that it's an average but fun movie but not one that they'd go out of their way to watch again in theaters.

Captain America by itself managed over 176 million in the US. Avengers has a ton more hype
