I got the second scene details. I can't believe it.

Scene: the whole Avengers team post-battle quietly eating shwarma for about a minute, no dialogue.

It's odd because Hemsworth made an unrelated remark in one of his interviews recently about
eating shwarma
.

I hope to god I am not being trolled and being denied some juicy stuff

If true that is awesome.

Bullshit! Why would they show something like that to the US and not to International audience as well?

I demand compensation!!!

Apparently some who have had seen an advanced screening in the US didn't get this second scene either. It seemed to have been a very late change of plan to film this. Rumours are that it was just like just over 2 weeks ago. This is being distributed digitally right? When do theatres get their copy? I can't imagine those who already have their copy will get a new one delivered just for this; cost a couple grand each time I read?

If such scene existed, it doesn't make sense to put it as one of the post-credit scenes because:

The group part ways after Thor and Loki go back to Asgard. It'd make sense if the scene to show up before they say goodbye to Thor but not after that.

seems just meant as a joke or aside

Because America.

Yeah.. it's the Ferris Bueller version of the Avengers.

"You're still here? There's no more scenes. Go home."

:D

Which would make it more funny because Loki can't enjoy that delicious shwarma because he's wearing that gag or whatever he has on his mouth.

They won't. He has an option for the sequel, they'll pick it up.

Hopefully they involve him even further in the future, like the rewrites he did for Cap.

What rewrites did he do for the Cap movie? Or do you mean for The Avengers, in which case don't spoil anything.

Alright guys... 70mm IMAX 3D or digital 2D?

This is quite timely. I caught it in digital 2D on Monday and just caught it again in IMAX 3D. I'd say digital 2D. The 3D isn't fantastic in this film and gets very blurry when the action gets fast. Plus, I absolutely hate wearing 3D glasses.

If you're going to see this movie in IMAX 3D, see it in Digital IMAX 3D. 70mm IMAX is ill-suited for something like this.

my country finally got it's first IMAX theatre and it's grand opening in 3 days with Avengers. already got my ticket for Sunday. and it's IMAX Digital. I hope the 3D is not distracting.

Is Cap really as useless in this movie as people say? He's my favorite Avenger. :(

Nah, he has his awesome moments. He's very useful to the team, just not as powerful as a god, monster with infinite strength, and awesome metal man with the best weapons ever.

Oh man, I feel totally bilked :(

nope. The normal-ish people (black widow, hawkeye, Capt America) are really well balanced in the movie, much more than I was expecting.

CA doesn't do as much smashing as hulk obviously, but he's a great leader figure and is handled really well - I think you'll like it.

Those of you that haven't seen it yet really shouldn't be in this thread though - you want to go in with low/neutral expectations, much more fun that way.

edit: That rumoured second secret scene sounds very Whedon. Also sounds more interesting than the first scene that us foreigners did get.

Does anyone know if foreign audiences will get the new Batman trailer from Friday? Thinking to see this again

Yeah GAF raised my expectations too high. Left feeling underwhelmed. Action scenes were decent but really nothing out of this world and the first half of the movie was a little draggy.

X-Men First Class - McAvoy and Fassbender are phenomenal. It captured Professor X and Magneto as well as Sirs McKellan and Stewart. The Argentina scene is the best scene in the series not in X2. With the exception of the quick ending, which I'll chalk up to the less than 12 month production schedule, it's the second best X-Men film behind X2.

This movie was a fucking pile of shit. The onlny redeeming qualities were Fassbender and McAvoy.

Its a shame that Marvel cant get the rights back and do a proper X-MEN movie. Full costumes, Full mutations... EVERYTHING.

I guess we'll have to endure Fox pumping out their shit as long as people keep going to see it.

Wouldn't go so far but I thought it was very average. Fass was great though.

Fassbender is great in everything. Honestly, they should have just filmed the original script for Magnieto - Origins. The one with Erik hunting down Nazi war criminals all over the world and the U.S recruiting Xavier to help track him down... Only to have them end up sympathising with each other and becoming friends.

That would have been an awesome movie to watch.

The scene with Magneto and the three Nazis was the highlight of the movie for me.

Screened it in IMAX at my job. Great popcorn flick. Loved the dialogue and the depiction of powers. Hint at who's coming next was fucking glorious. The line just before you get to see who it was...was fucking genius.

Why was it genious? Can you explain? Maybe it's something you need to know the comics for because I didn't think it was that genious.

God fucking dammit. Why doesn't this movie exist? :(

So yeah... I watched it because I really can't wait for the bd-version... fuck 3D. Seriously, I didn't enjoy this as much as I could've.

The final villain depicted was Thanos. In the comics he is literally in love with Death, the physical manifestation of Death. So, in the movie when his lackey said taking on the Avengers was courting death...that brought a smile to his face. This is THE big bad in the Marvel Univese
